Pokemon G/S/C always does the trick.
Pokemon G/S/C always does the trick
Pokemon was such a huge part of me and my friends' childhoods. It really can't be understated. Pokemon was life back then. It was everything we ever talked about.
I prefer Lake of Rage myself. It has that adventurous sound that takes me back to being an 8 year old kid, running around outdoors all day.
>tfw you forgot about this theme
>tfw you never played the remakes
They ruined it in the remake. It just doesn't sound right.
I think the remade version did a pretty good job. The problem I have with most of HG/SS's music is that they turned a lot of the songs into shuffle beats. I don't understand why.
For example Goldenrod City went from this somber, slow kind of tune to an upbeat, swingy one in the remake.

all of them? the worst thing about age is that not only does everything start to fade, but your body begins to decay, and things don't really get 'better'
why do you think there's so much religion and obsession with the end of the world
especially in this industrialized society, where a tiny spot is carved out for us, our brains are simply too large for this nasty little flesh prison
I don't know, I'm in a weird place. I'm both planning for death at this point, doing shit like planning music that will be played at my funeral, while also trying to experience everything that I can. I literally applied for a job that's stationed in Antarctica for 5 -12 months straight, and is half the pay of what I have now, just so I can be one of the few people to see it.
I played Gold and Silver so much I used to hear the music even when the GBC was off. It was like an audible Tetris effect.

Nigger, what? What kind of job would that be and how are you qualified for it?
I'm a power plant operator. Obviously it would be maintaining power.
I hope you have a flamethrower, user.
I'm more torn because I'm married, and very happily so. But it feels like one of those opportunities of a lifetime, like going up in an F-16 when I was in the ROTC in college (dropped out of it later). I'd be kicking myself if I didn't give it a shot, you know?
Even though I'd be leaving my home, where I earn 46.50/hr (OT at 1.5x) to work at a place where I'd essentially live in a dorm room and earn 15 bucks per hour, 54 hours per week, no OT rate.
If you're not doing it for the money, $15/h sounds decent enough to me. Still, being away from your wife for a whole year straight? I can't imagine ever doing something like that.
Keep in mind that the money has to go back to the wife. My room and board is free, but she's not coming with me.
That said, I'd be going for the 5-6 month range, not the year. I could take a leave of absence from my work without much difficulty, but would need to continue paying into my health insurance plan during that time.
If you have kids don't be a selfish prick and stay at home.
If you don't, well its basically a gamble whether or not your wife cheats on you or leaves you.
A whole year is a long time to leave someone by themselves, especially when you are married.

No kids. Again, wouldn't be gone for a year. Be more like 5 months.
If your wife is okay with it, if you're both capable of that trust, I'd say go for it. Sounds like it can be a good experience.
