It's basically a walking simulator where you can explore many areas and solve simple puzzles.

not if you want a free mmo. pretty much every korean/ftp mmo is garbage with a grind worse than most traditional mmos. FFXIV is sorta comfy once you get to the higher level areas but it still gets grindy at points. sidequests that have a story are max comfy though

No god forbid no.
Maybe the DLC is worth it, I don't know haven't bought any. But the solo game is just a looter shooter with number crunching. The best gear is crafted and found in Dark Zones dude! Raid Dark Zone for 3 hours, keep getting shit duplicate loot you have no use for. have to look up guides and wait for updates to get a chance to find that fucking blueprint for the gear you want.
Honestly once you are into the game for the gameplay the atmosphere is just another setting you shoot bullet sponge enemies in and race from one side of the map to another.
