Ledian is a great bug, combat aside.

I expected him to be just this gen's generic bird so I planned to swap him out eventually but he just wrecks shit so hard I kept him. Anything Beak Blast doesn't one shot he can take down with his diverse and flexible movepool. All I needed all game was him and the rainbow Muk to destroy everything.

the starter route birds tend to be a lot more useful than the other early ones

very little new pokemens, all incredibly generic too so you wont go out of your way to catch them, literally the only ones with a wow factor are creepychu, golisopod and maybe the alola forms because of how stupid they look

This fucker ended up being my most used unit by far.

He meant that if you were going to take a level 50 beedril to a level 25 psychic gym to steamroll it you might as well take a lv 50 starmie instead and spam psychic, even if it's not very effective they can't hurt you that much either since starmie isn't weak to psychic unlike beedril.

That's actually the best way to use him. Make sure his ability is Sheer Force and he'll murder everything with his Special attacks.

After that cutscene when the wormholes open up, I was thinking there was going to be an awesome invasion angle where you have to team up with the Kahuna's to get rid of them, but nooooope.
