Anno 1800 Announcement

Since I was at gamescom I missed any discussion about this.

So how is the general opinion?

I'll get this because I enjoy the period it's set in but the last one I played was Anno 2077 and the campaign was honestly too formulaic. I quit after spending two hours on a mission and some scripted event took out my whole ctiy with some toxic shit or a tsunami or whatever making the mission unfinishable.

German streamers have been babbling about details a tonne (they have had NDA'd pre-alphas for a while), but not one in fucking English. I can understand some kraut but they speak really fast.

Anyone found a summary or anything of the sort in English?

Oh boy you've been to gamescom? How does it feel to attend the biggest meme event in gaming?

But Gamescom is the best videogame event unless you are a casual, in which case E3 is for you.

see

Yeah I never realized it before this year but there were several games I'm really hyped for at gamescom, unlike E3 which was literally nothing but AAA console garbage

here is an articel translated into english:

>1800
>Ironclad and steam boats

are you some kind of stupid?

The titles must add up to 9, so even though they are calling it 1800 it's actually late 19th century

>The game isnt set in 1800. Its set in 1800-1900.
>As you advance through the game you advance the time line. Stuff like industrialisation and worker movements and strikes will happen.
>The Ai is now again on the same map as you.
>There will be different Ai characters.
>The combat will be on the same map, no combat maps anymore.
>There will be the classic anno trade routes.
>There will be an other non european civ.

Seems like they understand that 2205 was a mistake.

Why not just call it Anno 1886 -86?

child labor, land enclosure, and coal lung is not comfy

because 1+8+8+6+(-8)+6 is not equal to 9

Oh of course.

Anno (1886 - 86).

This is the first I hear of it and I ate up most of what the cancerous mainstream coverage got on the event, so I am going to assume it had a very minimal announcement.

Autism

Anno 1602 (1+6+0+2=9)
Anno 1503 (1+5+0+3=9)
Anno 1701 (1+7+0+1=9)
Anno 1404 (1+4+0+4=9)
Anno 2070 (2+0+7+0=9)
Anno 2205 (2+2+0+5=9)
Anno 1800 (1+8+0+0=9)

Just an announcement, release winter 2018

germans are the undisputed champions of following the rules to the letter, no matter how stupid the rules are.

ORDNUNG MUSS SEIN

Strangely we dont follow the rules when it comes to self preservation of the country and its society.

fuck off back to pol

He's right though.

Fuck off you shit, every fucking time someone says anything right of Trudeau some triggered faggot from NeoGaf has to start yelling Sup Forums and derailing the thread. If you want an echo-chamber go back to wherever you came from, you people have ruined enough fucking threads.

The developers claim the nine in the title brings them luck, or the one zero in it. not sure. Just German things.
