Go back to listening to Imagine Dragons or something pusswad.
OP, you don't have to bait if you want to talk about how good the OST is.
but its not good its trash it sounds like korn ate skrillex and puked up a mutant with no mouth
Once again, i'll just leave this here
youtube.com
Neotokyo has what is objectively the greatest video game OST
Personally I prefer Mick Gordon's less gargled tracks, like youtube.com
And youtube.com
I think he's actually being utilised incorrectly. Not that I didn't enjoy his work on Doom, because OP can fuck off it's still great, but I think he's actually much better at emotional, set-piece style tracks. More simple guitars, other minor sound effects and vocals, rather than layering 5 different electric guitar tracks and running it through 5 different synthesizers and noise generators (Exaggerated but you get the point).
Doom 2016 still has a great soundtrack though, and fits the atmosphere and tone of Doom really well, if I had any serious complaint rather than nitpicking it would be that it's a bit repetitive (And as stated it's not really utilising Mick's talents properly).
not my kind of music but it's well produced, fits the game and the synths sound great
shut up Sup Forumsfag
I can appreciate the sound design of the game but i absolutely despise the ost itself. It sounds like a cacophonous collection of annoying sounds scientifically perfected to cause as much ear rape and headache as possible. It's not suited for dynamic gameplay at all. Compare this shit to Quake 2's ost for example. It motivated, it moved forward, it was perfect for the game.
>quake ost
im still pissed it required a cd to have it meaning the steam version doesnt even have it
except if you watched you would know that its perfectly suited for doom, a raw aggressive distorted sound for a game which is about killing demons in hell
furthermore, gordon explains how aggressive transients are important for the player to actually notice the soundtrack in the middle of combat with explosion and gunshots going on everywhere
are you 8, or something?
>Hating BFG Division
It's literally the best song
>8 because i dislike numetal horseshit
Wow that's almost non-music right there
A Hans Zimmer tier of shitty music
although i agree with you on the earrape part, i think that is what makes it amazing. This music is purposly designed to make your adrenalin pump hard. There is something great about literally ripping and tearing apart people while listening to satanic music. nothing gets my heart and dick more hard than this.
although music is dependant on personal taste, do you know about our lord and saviour death grips?
BFG Division's great.
Yeah it's really unfortunate that they designed the soundtrack to only be enjoyed by patrician ultrachads.
I've never even played the game or heard the OST, but congratulations OP, I'm now a fan of the soundtrack. Maybe you should stop giving it publicity if you hate it so much lmao
I remember it being pretty good. Too bad no one plays it and there's always that one guy that carrys the enemy team alone
>Nu-Metal
>It's literally Electronicore
Sup Forums should just stay away from naming genres of music. First Doom had Dubstep music and now apparently it's Nu-Metal.
DOOM 2016 had the best game sound track I've heard in a long time. It's a bit repetitive, but it worked amazing in the game. I loved hearing music start quietly playing near nests, and found myself not wanting enemies to stop spawning because the music pumped you up.
good bait, OP
>he doesn't think Mick Gordon transforming a simple sine wave into an intricate and furious bass sound with only an array of 15.000$ worth of amps and pedals is impressive
youtube.com
How much of a cuck must one be
watched this one the other day; an hour that feels like 10 minutes
Reminder that Mick Gordon worked on Prey too although.
Such a great soundtrack.
