Let's have a proper thread with a proper OP pic, okay?
So, Sup Forums? Are you playing solo or co-op?

One solo run at hard, for sure.
Then, hardest difficulty, solo or co-op
post that girl with a great ass
Never beat the first game and feel obligated to. End game encounters just got tedious
Solo, playing text heavy games co-op is tedious and I prefer to go at my own pace
plus i heard theres a spooky skelly race
Solo. My play style is too autistic for normal humans.
Solo
>coop meme
This will be DOA. Screenshot this post.
Solo. I don't have friends.
Can i ask you how you approach games on hard difficulty? I tried going into D.OS on Hard Mode blind and wiped my party a lot very early into the game. I stopped wiping when i read the wiki about op stuff and up stuff, but that felt like cheating.
I'll be playing with the same friend that played the first one with me. Hopefully this time we'll be able to pay more attention to the story and savescum less.
I still dont see any option anywhere to pre-order and Steam price is way too high.
But if I would get it, solo. Always solo. Co-op only ruins overall experience and I dont think that any RPG is playable in co-op. Seriously, how can you immerse into game if you play with somebody esle that in 99% cases is impatient, would like to skip every cutscene and dialogues or act goofy or even worse - is dragging you down with complete lack of idea how to properly play this game. Bonus points if they cant even minmax.
you're dumb.
Odd request, but here you go.
Why you say so?
I'll be playing solo.
I started playing the first game coop months ago but we still havent finished it because my friend never wants to play divinity, its too slow/text heavy for him i guess.
So i gotta replay 1 & finish it myself and then solo the 2nd game at my own pace.
>Seriously, how can you immerse into game if you play with somebody esle that in 99% cases is impatient, would like to skip every cutscene and dialogues or act goofy or even worse - is dragging you down with complete lack of idea how to properly play this game. The people who want to play with you are usually the least enjoyable to play with in these games.
The introvert doesn't want to play with you, and is the best.
Its like some kind of cRPG curse
you just have shitty friends, user. also minmaxing, especially in a solo game, is for faggots
What's your build going to be? I think I'll go summoning with something else. Maybe polymorph, but the skills in the early access didn't impress me too much.
Co-op, it's the way it was meant to be played. Feel pretty sorry for anons who don't have a co-op buddy.
I have a question for D:OS. Is there any point in hoarding tenebrium if I don't have the bear chick with me? I just started my old playthrough after 8 months and don't remember shit. Currently at the Luculla mines and leaving all this rot inducing stuff just lying there is painfully unsatisfying.
>price is way too high.
Where do you live?
Minmaxing is the most fun elements of games what the fuck are you talking about? Sure, if you replay the game it might be interesting to try joke builds or solutions for shit and giggles but this will never compare with proper feeling of minmaxing and rolling on everything by sheer power of your own mind - when you on your own or with somebody else help break the system and make it your bitch. Triumph of human mind over cold mechanics and game itself.
Also, I dont have friends.
>also minmaxing, especially in a solo game, is for faggots
dictating how others should play games is worse
keep your sorries to yourself, don't give a shit about buddies.
Poland so every price in EUR have to be multiplied by 4,5.
I tried playing the first game on co-op with a friend and he kept running ahead and doing shit where I wasn't looking.
Never again.
Co-op (possibly solo at the same time, when friend is not available), then solo on hardest difficulty once I know the game
Played through the first one co-op, with just two characters, Lone Wolf on both, was tons of fun
Fights are super fun when there's a hoard of enemies and you can reliably 2-3 shot each, but then one or both of you get CC'd
You're missing out, pal.
Would I miss much if I made a custom character instead of using one of the premade ones?
...
I think you'll still be able to go through the origin characters' quest-lines, assuming you have them in your party, so no. But there are some story bits that only your main character is going to see, so... yes?
It's complicated.
>Co-op only ruins overall experience and I dont think that any RPG is playable in co-op.
God how did people ever play DnD together right?
Each of the origin characters has their own quest chain spanning throughout the game. You can do these quests only if your MC is that particular origin character. Also it implies you'll have to finish the game 6 times to see all the quests. It is a completionist hell and you'd better just roll with whatever appeals you the most.
Okay, let me precise - I dont think that any computer RPG is playable in co-op. Pen and paper RPGs are WHOLE lot different things than video games.
>Also it implies you'll have to finish the game 6 times to see all the quests
Or you could just co-op.
Not that user but you're just being autistic, or never actually had proper friends that like the same things you like
I played lots of RPGs with 3 of my friends, usually me and one other friend, and we enjoyed them all since we are always on the same wavelength
We either don't care and screw around or get really into it and discussing what's happening, what might happen, what this or that plot point meant etc.
Sure, sometimes you or the friend might not be AS into it as the other, but that's when respect towards one another comes into play and you don't ruin the experience for the both of you
Just get better friends, mate
Party is still 4 max and you are missing on two origins. Also I doubt people would play co-op with premade characters and not with their special nugget.
I dont have any friends, mate. My social skills are at perfect zero.
18 D A Y S
Then how can you think that any RPG is unplayable in co-op when you haven't even tried it?
C'mon user
I tried it once when I was around 16 years old, trying to play first Neverwinter Nights with two other guys. Never again. Also Im using my own imagination backed up with information I collected from internet and different people opinions.
No idea how others feel about it, but I'm going in as Lohse and my friend is probably taking the origin dorf, assuming he sounds interesting.
stop
Solo for first go. Maybe co-op later if a friend gets interested.
he's right you know. most players will run around, separate from the group and will trigger events left and right, enter into combat solo and die, and do shit that you'll then miss because you werent there. People will also get impatient if you want to talk to npc around town etc.
You can play coop, but we agreed with my friends that we"ll each do solo runs before trying coop together
jesus christ what kind of friends do you people have
>when I was around 16 years old
Well that explains it, and only once, so you kinda gave up a bit early
But I suppose not many people can find proper friends with mutual interests these days
Happened to me only with one of my friends who is generally impatient, but that's it
The first game we played with a friend we read/listened to everything interesting, but at some point we just each talked to an NPC, where there are tons of options, read and the summed up what each of them was talking about, making it pretty efficient
Solo, because my co-op guy can't afford the game.
Also, if modding doesn't take off and there are no custom campaigns, I'll join the Peace Corps and quit vidya.
>if modding doesnt take off
>after them putting in the DM mode
this should explode mod and custom campaign wise
TW3 and DOS1 had almost no mods, and what little they had were UI and hacks like more players per game, etc.
Both had "modding tools" and so on.
>my co-op guy can't afford the game
he's homeless?
Is there still diablo loot?
Define "diablo loot".
Handplaced loot or mostly random I guess.
Like in some older CRPG you will always find that named item in that place and can use it to plan next playthrough or whatever. Here you only find random stuff in chests or craft your own.
No idea how it is in the sequel though.
Why are lizards so ugly?
Its a mix. In DOS1 the best loot seemed to be from vendors, with unique loot from bosses, and random loot from regular monsters.
Vendors would just scale to your level, so every vendor would have something just right for your character, while boss loot was at a set level.
I want to do a co-op campaign but my friends don't play RPGs and I'm afraid teaming up with random shitters will ruin the game for me.
take it back
Why are DivOS crabs so much nicer?
I lacked the required Autism to go through solo, even though I enjoyed the game on some level, turn based combat is something I've NEVER been able to acclimatise to. Thankfully I had a friend who was into it, and together we had a blast playing through multiple times.
Gonna do the same this go round, both hyped.
From what I've seen in the beta, loot isn't terribly exciting. There are some pretty cool unique items you can find, but most of it is just boring +stat or +damage or whatever.
I haven't really taken the time to fully explore the beta in fear of spoiling myself too much, and there might be much better stuff in the release version, but nothing I found in the game really impressed me.
Probably co op. It seems that on this particular game that would be worth it.
>TW3
>modding tools
Nah. The most it had is some shitty unpacking tool.
Fair enough about OS1 though.
Coop with my friend. We've completed first game on max difficulty.
Hoping for co-op, but my buddy might be tied up.
Co-op with my brother, its gonna be awesome.
Is it worth playing the DivOS enhanced edition if I already played the original back at release with a friend?
Solo because I ditched all my old friends after they either became 'too old to play video games' or got addicted to rewatching the same garbage over and over again on netflix.
Fucking faggots couldn't even play a board game without pulling out their phone every few minutes.
