What do you think of TES lore?

wasted potential

It's the saving grace of the TES series.

We' ll see in Starfield

>YFW the leak was wrong
>Starfield isn't the future
>It's the past

We Reman Cyrodiil space program now boys.

If you still think Starfield exists you're delusional. That was debunked months ago.

i know more about it than actual world history. wish i had the drive to write something of its scale

Wait, TES universe takes place inside a giant Dyson Sphere?

>you will never enjoy tes games again

Have they even let people go to half of these places?

no, that's just nirn. the clockwork city is the core of the world

yes

You do realize there was a copy right for the name by them ages before that bullshit leak?

The only thing that we know for sure was bullshit (honestly anyone who didn't think it was bullshit right away was stupid) was the entire thing that guy said about it, they still have starfield registered for something, what it is we don't know.

off the top of my head, the places in the image you can visit in one or more games are nirn, masser, secunda, shivering isles, coldharbour, soul cairn and apocrypha. also an imperial space station that is not pictured

wait fuck, you can visit quagmire too in tesiv

Fantasy lore isn't worth anything if the story doesn't utilize it

Also not pictured we go to the Pits in oblivion as well as Boethia's realm. Both look pretty much like the deadlands though.

Has a few interesting bits, but for the most part it's dry, uninspired and boring as fuck. Kind of the epitome of quantity over quality.

It's pointless fluff that has little to no bearing on the actual game, and most of it was written by a stoned retard who found a book of Hindu mantras in a gutter.

>Quagmire
giggity

what this guy said

You can also visit one of Sanguine's many realms in Skyrim.

>i dont know what a dyson sphere is

Since when was Family Guy part of the lore of TES?

Yeah in reality we've been quite a few places granted allot of them just for small snippets.

What? Wasn't that shit just Sotha Sil's home that he built for himself?

can you summarise in which situations we can visit those?
Nirn is just the normal world, right?
Shivering Isles in Oblivion (which I never played, only started TES last year with Daggerfall and now Morrowind), but I think they were part of Nirn and you could go by boat.
I'm also curious about space stations. How do they get there? Levitation spells?

...

earth bones, son

>an imperial space station that is not pictured
Battlespire?

yeah

So, how did he get to build his home there? I know he achieved godhood, but he didn't achieve Chim like Vivek, so he really couldn't just alter things by wishing it.

visible in the skies as well

Nirn is the world you are on, yes.

Shivering Isles are a plane of Oblivion that belongs to Sheogorath. You reach a portal to the plane by riding a boat out to the Niben River.

>space stations
The Battlespires. They're massive fortifications for the training the Imperial Battlemages that use magika to travel. They were constructed during the Reman era where space travel was common, which is also when the lunar colonies were established.

He had some degree of godhood from fiddling with the heart. In addition to that he achieved one of the other means of reaching godhood (theres five or so I believe). In my opinion, just as a precaution, he decided to completely rebuild the world from its core and insert himself as a necessary component of its functions.

knowledge and study im sure. like the dwemer, they merely based their civilization on the divine process, which stuff like the cogs of the earth bones inspired. im sure godhood allowed him to surpass even the greatest dwemer minds

How can we visit the moons in the games? And when is space travel first mentioned?
nice, thanks, so basically almalexia teleports you to the center of the world right? I thought the center of Nirn would be the depths of Red Mountain because of the hearth of Lorkran being there

None of this is in the games though.

t. never played the games

Is that a motherfucking Dyson Sphere?

So is it all a Dyson's sphere an the "planes" and "dimensions" are planets?

All of it literally is though
Skyrim, despite how bad the gameplay is, was a lore goldmine. Turns out the mad prophet in whiterun is completely accurate.

This EU fanfic is vaguely touched on in the autistic in-game books and Morrowind. 90% of this has zero relevance for the player of any game but Morrowind.

>DUDE TES LORE IS SO DEEP AND WEIRD

But when you actually play it's just bog standard mediaval high fantasy.

Shit. We're living in some fucking sword's Reality Marble.

based dyson bros

What game you can see this in?

None, it's from C0da, which takes place in the 5th era after everything's been fucked.

it's the 5th era which doesnt exist in games yet, just the post works of MK. despite modern fans claiming it is non-canon, it continues to be referenced and used as a guideline in Skyrim and ESO.
it's a weird relationship as he is basically free labor for bethesda at this point, but im sure he enjoys his stuff still being followed

>high fantasy
literally have never played the series

Yeah that's exactly my point

Didn't he do some concept stuff for Skyrim too, like more direct shit like the White Gold Concordat was his idea.

BLESSINGS OF JULIANOS UPON YE

>one piece of art
>people explain where it comes from and how it works
>YEHA SEE NONE OF THIS IS IN THE GAMES HURR

Retard

yeah. he remains the backbone of the series despite not being on the payroll. while the gameplay may be shit, im glad the lore added in TESV is as good as its always been and respects the previous material, even if i find Nord culture the most boring of the bunch

So he's right.

And the plane of Oblivion of course too.

>implying

No, not at all actually. He (probably you, lets be honest here), never clarified what he meant by 'this'. C0da isn't in the games, The rest of the metaphysics is drawn directly from the games though.

...

when do you go to masser & secunda?

Nord culture could of been better if they made the Pantheon a bigger thing, but I guess it's kind of petered out by then for the Imperial nomenclature and customs by the 4th era.

>one piece of art

No, it's all the things people are talking in these threads about. Limited amount of things people reference here are from Morrowind, but all the rest in nowhere to be found in any of the games. You cannot observe or engage any of this in the games,

It's just EU fluff at best, but it's not even commercially released, so it's more of a fanfic from a person who used to write for Bethesda a decade ago, that's why it makes sense only to people who autictically read every in-game book in Morrowind. These threads are a bit sad, people here are literally LARPing that TES has interesting lore.

Shhhh just let people enjoy something. You doing this won't make people stop.

ESO, when you are helping assist the candidate you wish to be the next Mane. i think there's another visit up there at some point, but i haven't gotten too far into that area of tamriel

These games were falsely advertised to me on basis of lore i was told was of equal complexity to Gene Wolfe's writing, but when i played them i quickly found out it was not the case.

>high fantasy
LOL

is ESO any good or is it as mediocre as Skyrim?

Yeah and it's not my fault you were retarded and listened to people on the internet.

ESO is to Skyrim as New Vegas is to Fallout 3. literally just multiplayer TES, but it feels like more of an online Morrowind than Skyrim in all but aesthetic design. even MK praises the writing, especially all the love argonians finally get.

i should probably mention this is the last day it's on sale as well if you are at all interest. can't find an updated map, but the entirety of vvardenfell is playable and to scale with TESIII (feels small due to the lack of fog lol), and the space between Craglorn and The Rift is also available

drug-induced delusions

Does the Morrowind bundle come with everything?

no. if you want everything, youd have to get gold edition and the morrowind expansion. id get gold edition over the base game, as it would be more expensive to upgrade to gold later on. gold+morrowind is 60 dollars americano

ALSO the clockwork city is the next content being added

That's the Deadlands.

...

>How can we visit the moons in the games?
You can't. They used to visit in via magicka in the first era, but its exorbitantly expensive and fell out of practice.
>And when is space travel first mentioned?
en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Pocket_Guide_to_the_Empire,_3rd_Edition/Arena_Supermundus
>Visits to Aetherius occur even less frequently than to Oblivion, for the void is a long expanse and only the stars offer portal for aetherial travel, or the judicious use of magic. The expeditions of the Reman Dynasty and the Sun Birds of Alinor are the most famous attempts in our histories, and it is a cosmic irony that both of them were eventually dissolved for the same reason: the untenable expenditures required to reach magic by magicka. Their only legacy is the Royal Imperial Mananauts of the Elder Council and the great Orrery at Firsthold, whose spheres are made up of genuine celestial mineral gathered by travelers during the Merethic Era
The booklet included with TES IV collector's edition.

I'm not sure if you're still interested but I just bought morrowind for $15 on cdkeys comes with the standard base game too if u didn't have it before. Seems like a steal.

goodbye thread, i appreciate you

it's good but zenimax are jews and eso made me realize that they're the cancer killing tes.

What did you just say? Say it to my face.

>YFW they refrence Trainwiz

Apocraphya, Shivering Isles, and Cold Harbor are all oblivion, you'r probably thinking of the Deadlands, another plane of oblivion just like those ruled by Mehrunes Dagon.

Whats he up to nowadays

Don't know he pops into ES threads around here from time to time though. Last I heard about anything he's doing was in /fog/ when he was sort of hinting but not really saying much about talking with bethesda, IIRC it was about the Creation Kit and him testing it.

Most of it is in the games though.
>but you can't interact with it
Yes I know, but it is in the games.

For some reason I really like pic related

People on /TESG/ got mad at him for supporting the creation thing Bethesda is doing

Dwemer created a giant robot that runs on the collective autism of their race.

What did Dagoth hope to gain from building a gib facsimile of it?

a better version. the dwemer robot uses the soul of a shezzarine, or strength of a player character. his was gonna use the soul of THE fucking god.

It also exists as a model version beneath Mournhold. It's complicated

Does anyone know what the new Sheo lore from ESO actually meant? I remember it pertained to how the Champion of Cyrodiil became Sheo (or didn't) and that there was something about more info being released "next year" (this was more than a year ago) but I haven't heard much about it.

>i don't know what a meme answer is

Bethesda's money-grabbing schemes are really good at revealing the jews in the modding community.

is THOD our universe's CHIM?

What if the earth is a dyson sphere?

So Sup Forums, I recently played through Morrowind again, completing both expansions for the first time and now Oblivion is next and I want to install some mods, I mainly want to change the retarded leveling and scaling system, which is fucked beyond believe and just not fun in vanilla, I noticed there are some mods just for that, but I ran across Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, I believe it doesn't change the leveling system, but it does get rid of the awful scaling and seems interesting otherwise, which would you recommend Sup Forums, the Overhaul or just some leveling mod?

It's a dyson sphere that surrounds an entire solar system, not a babby dyson sphere that's only around a star

>Together we shall speak for the law and the land and shall Morrowind, and drive the mongrel dogs of the empire from Morrowind

Granted that's him speaking to Nerevarine, but basically he wanted to BTFO the empire, free the Dunmer as he sees it and reshape the world in his image.

I fucked up bad while editing the quote. I meant;

>Together we shall speak for the law and the land and shall drive the mongrel dogs of the empire from Morrowind

>yfw the elder scrolls takes place in a dyson sphere
