prebuilts suck, ask for help

If I can get all parts from one place thats fine but Ill need a list of parts for a good build

>8 GB DDR4 2133
You don't plan on playing pubg do you?

>decent prebuilt gaming pc

>gaming pc
>prebuilt

choose one and only one

>Dont have time to set one up myself.
yes you do you retard. if you're shitposting on Sup Forums and have time to play on a PC, you have a couple of hours to set it up.

$1500 isn't enough for a leaf prebuilt PC unless you want some shitty thine with a GTX 770.

I'm bored though OP are you still here? I'll help you.

Watch out for prebuilts with shit power supplies. They will fry your PC if you game heavily. Any PSU you get should be a trusted brand like Seasonic. Most if not all prebuilts do not list the manufacturer of the PSU.

>$1500 CAD
nigga I built my first over the summer and it cost me 1200 after taxes and shipping. Why the fuck would you spend so much more for something so much worse? It's easy shit.

get ryzen 7 and vega

It's smarter to get Intel's new i3.

looking for a NA retailer. Never built a pc before, not against doing so just not sure of all the parts needed/compatibility. $1500ish CAD budget. Looking to play Dayz/PUBG.

>A FUCKING LEAF

Most abhorrent post of the fucking year, go back to R****t, fagrodomus

Question: If the PC doesn't boot up how can I tell if the motherboard, or CPU, PSU is the problem? Do I just return everything and start over?

Yeah, mobile because I dont have a working desktop anymore. Last pc I had was 12gb ram gtx 260 intel i7 processor. Dont fucking know what a leaf is but $1500 should be plenty for a decent rig.

literally completely untrue and retarded
see the OP paste literally says not to do i3/i5

not only are the Ryzen chips better and cheaper, they provide a real upgrade path since AMD is going to release their next gen of chips on the same socket

whereas jewtel releases a new socket every time they do a new chip, needlessly forcing you to buy a new mobo

in summary kill yourself my man

>the OP paste literally says
and? you fucking mong, use your own head.

the new i3 is cheap as fuck and very powerful. AMD is trash if you're serious about PC gaming. and you won't need to upgrade for at least 6 years so crying about having to change motherboard is a null argument.

literally any prebuilt

that's not a terrible pc. For $1500, you could look for a prebuilt pc with a gtx 1070 (instead of the 1060), which is a considerably better gpu

which parts should I swap for? 8gb of ram seems low to me.

It is low. I have 8gb and I can't even play Watch Dogs 2 but that's the only game, and I'm not missing much. But yeah with general Windows 10 stuff 8gb isn't enough.

16gb, imo the new i3 quad core, whatever GPU fits your budget(look at benchmarks for performance - Nvidia is better for GPU), cheap motherboard if you're on a budget, decent PSU, and ur basically set.

>""""""serious about pc gaming"""""
>recommending a fucking dual core

just stop breathing my guy

>Dont have time to set one up myself.

do you make $600+ an hour?

yeah, 8 gigs might not be enough, depending on how you use your computer and the games you play. If you can pay for 16 gigs then go for it.

SSDs, while not required, are very nice to have just because how fast they are compared to regular hard drives.

Next i3 is going to be 4/4 you retard. And it's going to be faster than Poozen.

What's it like being literally a fucking retard?

Unrelated to OP, but I've seen the light that is 144hz and am gunning to get something to replace my current monitors and things are snowballing. What I want to know is:

>Is 1440p worth it? 4K seems to be a meme and is too expensive at this point.

>Are any of the V-sync killers G-sync or Freesync worth it?

>What's a minimum hardware threshold to shoot for if I want 144hz and 1440p? Current setup is chugging with a 670, 12 gigs of DDR3, and 3.4gz

ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/nY7vM8 How does this build look? anything missing?

>not using places like CyberPower, iBuypower, Digital Storm, Falcon Northwest

Looks good. You could probably get a PSU with better efficiency rating (gold+) if you want, but overall, that's a solid build

im a noob at this but I can get away with no optical drive correct? how can I tell how many usb ports are on this?

> I can get away with no optical drive correc
that's up to you. Do you ever use discs at all? I know I don't

> how can I tell how many usb ports are on this
the number of usb ports in the front is determined by the case. Pic related shows that your case has one usb 3.0 and one usb 2.0 in the front. Your motherboard determines the number of usb ports in the back. It has quite a few, look at the specs page (msi.com/Motherboard/B350-TOMAHAWK.html#productSpecification-section)

thank you sir.
