I've played all of those except Heart of Evil and Azure Sheep. Never heard of 'em.
Brayden Gutierrez
...
Joseph Ramirez
What was the Russian one? Paranoia?
Ryan Morales
Heart of Evil I believe was the 'nam similator, has 2 versions, original and HD remake. Azure Sheep was a something similar to Blue Shift I believe, haven't played either.
Levi Gray
Classic and also now comes with Sven Co-op
Dude, try them out they are great. Azure Sheep is what Blue Shift could have been. And Heart of Evil is a complete conversion thats basically a wacky Vietnam campaign. youtube.com/watch?v=8hqIGeQHpvA
Yeah. Paranoia 2 is also on Xash3d engine.
Carson Perez
Paranoia was really spooky. I need to get it and actually play it
Nathan Rodriguez
Specialists was the shit.
Nolan Hill
...
Camden Stewart
People keep talking about GoldSrc mods, but what are the definitive single player Source mods?
Julian Williams
Quake Co-op for sven is a good campaign
Elijah Thompson
Sven would be good if it wasn't a bodyblocking fuckfest with one nigger standing on a doorway and stopping everybody.
Kayden Stewart
There ARE some good ones, but it never really took off in the same way that HL1 SP packs did.
And most of them were broken by the Steampipe Update and never fixed.
Sebastian Morris
Nigga there's mods who fix that since the very beginning.
Nolan Thomas
what about Poke646? Cry of Fear/Afraid of Monsters DC? Point of View (the one where you play a vortigaunt with implemented stukabats and other HL1 beta enemies)?
also DayHard is a fun, if busted, HL2 comedy mod from '06
Ayden Anderson
Rock 24, MINERVA off the top of my head, though neither are total conversions, just more HL2 for the most part
Juan Sanders
Oh shit, forgot about those, good catch. Poke646 & Poke646Vendetta have great texture work and level design.
Also Poke646 also is now included in Sven Co-Op too, and i believe Afraid of Monsters is as well.
Brandon Murphy
Sweet Half-Life was pretty good, had a weird anime girl as the main menu picture for some reason
The Timeline mod series has always been one of my favorites, it's pretty much Half-Life + Wolfenstein + time travel, lots of really cool locations and storylines
Jacob Lee
The jap who made that also made PEACES LIKE US for GoldSrc, and Mistake of Pythagoras for Source, a brief singleplayer campaign with surreal artsy combat and environments using only HL2 assets (as usual).
Wyatt Powell
I remember a really good one called something like research and development that was puzzle centric.
Thomas Perez
Tineline 2 is a stone cold Classic. Fighting your way across the world from Ameria, to Space, to London and onwards.
Christian Morgan
I've got some pretty good ones.
In no particular order:
Random Quest Strider Mountain SMOD Nightmare House 2 Underhell Transmissions- Element 120 Curse Research and Development
I'm sure there are more but those are my personal favorites
Carson Lee
Xash3D or Xash3D FWGS?
Jacob Cook
That's my favorite part too, the ice world is so atmospheric, it's great
Jordan Moore
...
Jordan Green
Coastline to Atmosphere was a GREAT HL2 mod, but it was broken by an update a while back.
Luis Allen
...
Julian Russell
It's so sad how much underrated Day of Defeat 1.3 was. Had so much fun playing it.
I have a FUCKTONNE of HL1 and 2 SP mods in Zips & Rars. Downloaded years ago during the golden age. Half of it is probably no longer available via dead links and shut down file servers. Any sugestions?
Cameron Carter
Was there ever any goldsource mod similiar to NeoTokyo? For some reason I imagine that sort of GiTS aesthetic working really well with goldsource.
Angel Turner
Some of my favorites, RTSL has a greater collection of some of the best mods out there.
HL1: Residual-Life Black Mesa Sideline Half-Life: Visitors Hopelessness 1/2
HL2: Downfall The Citizen Riot Act Uncertainty Principle Human Error Spherical Nightmares
Luke Adams
Id like to see. Can you pack it all up in a big rar and up it it all up on MEGA for the time being?
Also later organize and up it to Moddb or some other sites.
Brody Young
>tfw nothing will ever be as comfy or as good as Half-Life and Diablo 2 mods
Logan Perry
/vg/ maybe?
There was a MW2 mod on CS 1.6 as well, pretty fucking good.
I only just realize now that it was a terrible name for a Mod because Zelda exists, but it's one hell of a nostalgia trip for me.
Robert Green
Did anyone else play The Specialists and play on RP servers too?
Eli Ross
When I get the time, I will. Within the week most likely.
Keep an eye on Sup Forums.
Aiden Bell
I like his videos desu.
He reminds me of the golden age of Golden Source and beginning on Source mods.
Isaiah Green
I just played against bots
Josiah Anderson
>The true meaning of "Poke646" goes way back into the early 1980s, when the C=64 homecomputer was wildly popular. In the built-in programming language “Basic”, the frequently used command "poke646,[x]" would change the onscreen font color. Seeing how the Poke646 mod was the first complete game project since my early days in the computing business, the reminiscent title seemed only fitting.
>Ingame, "Poke646" is the name of the organization which has been founded after the Black Mesa incident to handle all "alien related topics", comprised of the best scientists, technicians and military forces worldwide.
Daniel Flores
Hell yeah. Also a few years back I played on Menkelberg or whatever that city map was called for RP.
Robert Roberts
You now remember the Machinimas that were made on Gmod and GSource games.
Half-life invasion. You want models that lose limbs when you kill them, Invasion has it, you want a nuclear warhead equipped rocket launcher, Invasion has it.
You want to drive around in a Tank that you have full control over?
Cameron Kelly
>Discovered >NEO JERUSALEM
Aiden Phillips
>FERAL GOY
Leo Diaz
MINERVA is on par with the official Valve episodes.
David White
i miss wizard wars, science and industry, and firearms
