What i'm in for
a nice, classic adventure the likes of which this world needs more of
A great game.
A bad port of a great game
Buyers remorse
You should've gone for the ps2 version
it doesn't have random battles so it's objectively better than the PS2 version.
Vast emptiness in a open world 3d rpg.
>he hates random battles
I want casuals to leave
>metal slime flees
Best version of the game. I played the original on the PS2 and it was filled to the brim with flaws that marred an otherwise great game.
>loads of grinding (anyone who tells you you don't need to grind in the original is deluded)
>never having money for anything
>FF9-tier slooooow battles
>random fucking encounters
>alchemy pot takes forever to make something
3DS version fixes all of these. Enemies give more exp and 50% more gold, alchemy is instant and there are no random encounters. And there's a turbo setting for significantly faster battle animations, which REALLY saves a lot of time without feeling like an immersion-breaking emulator turbo button.
I just beat Dhoulmagus. On the PS2 it took me 45-48 hours of playtime to get to him. On the 3DS it took me 24. Cutting the fat from the game has literally saved over 20 hours of padded playtime and counting.
You need to have the patience of a saint and the free time of either a child or a NEET to play the original.
Really? i mean i played a few minutes and i noticed some real nice additions like how you can see all the abilities you can get up to 100 SP, HP/MP replenish after leveling up.
One thing i dont like is that the game seems a lot easier now but i dont know
Yeah i attempted to play the origitnal like 3 times and always stop at the same place, it was too much for me
If you didn't play the original around the time of it's release, you probably wont like it.
DQXI hero looks bad compared to all the others, even DQVII hero looks better than him
>no western pandering ssj transformation
My autism aside, it was pretty decent and you're in for a treat.
I think he looks fine. You can make knight's armor that change's his appearance fairly early on in the game anyway.
bump
Where do i go after i get the boat?
To gamefaqs faggot.
They took out the super saiyan? But that shit was dope
>he likes random battles
Nostalgia really does make you believe that archaic game design is acceptable. Sad!
A shit translation.
Neos where you money grind for 10 hours so you can buy stuff when the Bazaar starts.
I just bought the PS2 version. What's the difference?
>being this fucking incapable of reading the thread
fpbp!
>being rude
What did you gain?
Only shame is the shit resolution and no SSJ other than that is absolutely great
What'd they replace SSJ with?
>loads of grinding (anyone who tells you you don't need to grind in the original is deluded)
Unnecessary to grind. There is no situation in which you need to grind except for the post game. By that time you should already have access to areas where you can exploit Metal King Slimes.
>never having money for anything
Never a problem. Most of the stuff that are helpful are obtained through Alchemy. Every new item that you find on the world map or in dungeons always lead to a powerful equipments via alchemy.
>FF9-tier slooooow battles
The battles weren't that slow but the encounters did make it tedious since you mostly go for the same strat to kill them. The addition of the Fast Forward is great though.
>random fucking encounters
Valid.
>alchemy pot takes forever to make something
Also valid.
