Any worthwhile MMOs out right now that aren't WoW?

Any worthwhile MMOs out right now that aren't WoW?

Hopefully something that doesn't rely on large groups/raiding parties and allows for more solo and small group play.

>that bottom art
gross

Picture not related, then.

>You'll never get a group of 71 of your best buds and teleport into the plane of hate or fear ever again

>Hopefully something that doesn't rely on large groups/raiding parties and allows for more solo and small group play.

Have you thought about playing a single-player game?

I like the social aspect, just not the several dozen people to do anything endgame social aspect.

>Pauldrons

How about Dragon's Dogma Online? You can get up to three pawns and set them as whatever class you need.

Have you thought about playing a single-player game with an active Dischord?

RuneScape

Why did you post a pic of EQ then?

EQ1 had like, 75 man raids on dragons in the late 90s/early 2000s.

Agnarr. Or phinny if you want to have fun and not get raped by mage armies farming for RMT.

>EQ

whatever happened to Next?

FFXIV and only FFXIV. Every other mmo needs to die in a fire FFXIV all the fucking way.

what's wrong with project 99?

Crybaby autists, mostly. It's been in kunark/velious for so long that the economy is beyond fucked, and the kind of people who play on a server like that aren't the kind of people you want to hang out and raid with. Almost universally, p99 is considered a great experience up until level 50 and then it becomes absolute cancer.

>old art dragon. sexy, long tail, clean, healthy wings
>new art dragon, unkissable with those teeth, old, wings are all worn out, still a long sexy tail tho

I hate this game so much, because it's so good.

I want to play it but I just can't justify the monthly fee. ESPECIALLY on top of basically full price.
That's always the thing that's turned me off of MMOs, the whole idea of a monthly fee.
Especially in an age when we're getting stone-cold classics at the rate of once every couple months. If it was just a one-time fee like literally every other game on the planet it wouldn't be an issue, but man

...

Unless your playing a new game every month there's nothing wrong with paying a sub if you enjoy the game.

Instanced dungeons and raids in modern "MMOs" are basically just a bunch of people playing parallel single player games.

Dead project development has stopped

>not WoW
FFXIV
>doesnt relly on large groups/ raiding parties
FFXIV end game raids are 8-man
>allows for solo play
FFXIV's main storyline is solo
>and small group play
FFXIV's 4-man dungeons
