why wasn't this dark souls 2?
Why wasn't this dark souls 2?
because PC players will never stop whining that they got the first but not the sequel. look at vitafags and trails of cold steel 3.
Because dark souls 2 actually has weapon variety and is challenging.
>Check out these 20 great swords with identical movesets and slightly adjusted stat scaling!
>It's better because it's harder!
It's a no from me
Because DaS2 was a cash in by bamco. Really DaS2 and 3 have no reason to exist.
I'm just confused as to why Miyazaki would pass on making a DS sequel when BB is a 90% reskin anyway
Dark souls 2 sold better than bloodborne. You are the minority. You are insignificant.
BB was a cash in by Sony. DeS and DaS are the only ones that should exist.
Because Yoshida came to From with the offer for what would become Bloodborne when DaS 2 had already started development.
Because Bloodborne is the Rick and Morty of video games. Dark Souls is not.
>DUDE LOVECRAFT LMAO
my sides, good post
Bloodborne would have outsold DS2 if it was on 5 platforms. Even then sales are not representative of game quality
Nope, Miyazaki wanted to make BB. He was forced to make DaS3 and doesn't even care about DaS2 since he didn't touch it.
He wanted to, but by time he was done he wanted to go back to the DS franchise. Love BB but you're a twat.
>sales don't matter but it would've won anyways
Pathetic. How many more excuses can you fit in a single post?
>he wanted to go back to the DS franchise
No, he was forced too since his contract with Sony was finished.
"Because of the character of Bloodborne’s gameplay, its battle style, as well as the role-playing elements, it’s limited compared to the Dark Souls franchise. It doesn’t necessarily mean Bloodborne was bad. However, while working on [it] I realised, I want to [create] something which has a wide range of battle styles, or features magic, or those things which allow players to wear awesome armour. Those elements are what actually made me come [back] to the Dark Souls franchise"
Google that for source.
You know all the fuss about A-team and B-team? That's why.
Although even From's B-team should have been able to make a quality release, but it didn't happen due to Miyazaki not directing and only giving lore ideas instead.
With DaS3 Miyazaki had more control, but the game would have benefited much more from a delayed release instead of rushing it three months after Old Hunters.
>With DaS3 Miyazaki had more control
So this is the power of the A team...
>Dark Souls 2
>Challenge
...
which is why I think delaying the game would have helped, the map design screams rushed.
That detracts absolutely nothing from the game.
I mean it's just common fact that darksouls 2 is the worst in the soulsborne series, still a great game but the worst in the series
>BB doesn't have weapon variety
DS2 actually has better systems than BB because of his minimal involvement, really makes me think
It's a really stupid bonfire placement but that doesn't make the game shit or anything.
The map design was going to be garbage regardless of how much time they were given by virtue of them having teleportation unlocked from the start. Want to know why Dark Souls' world still remains the best? Because the developers had to design the the first half of the game in a way that could accommodate players getting from places with little hassle as they progressed, not having fast travel incentivizes good level design. When you first took the lift from Undead Parish and Firelink Shrine you probably had your mind blown or when you kicked down the latter in Undead Berg and realized you were back at the bonfire. Dark Souls III has no moments like that because the whole map was designed with fast travel from the start in mind.
The faster that we accept that DeS, DaS and BB were flukes the better.
>When you first took the lift from Undead Parish and Firelink Shrine you probably had your mind blown
Not moreso than the Anor Londo/irythil catwalk, Cleansing Chapel, the Consumed King Garden/Lothric Castle or Ringed City elevator shortcuts.
What's the point of even having weapon variety if the combat in DaS2 is fucking abysmal?
>Anor Londo/irythil catwalk
This one was actually legit and clever. I kept wondering why the church is called Church of Yorshka and the shortcut itself answers the lore question.
compared to BB dark souls dont have any weapon variety
...
because its dark souls 3
