Have you ever quit a game almost immediately after starting it?
Have you ever quit a game almost immediately after starting it?
i once quit a game immediately after installing it
drakengard 2 about 5 seconds into the intro
I hit the power button on my remote figuring the game bugged out and I wasn't in the mood for dealing with a broken game/console/whatever so I simply turned everything off.
Years later I looked at the intro and come to find out that if I had waited 1 second longer, everything would've been fine.
Dark Souls 1,2,3
yeah but it's pretty rare
most recent example is Fairune
>be extremely depressed
>start up a game
>loading screen shows up
>already lost interest because lack of energy
>back out of game immediately
>turn of console
>go to bed
Evoland. The gimmick was cool but not enough to carry throughout the whole game. It just wasn't fun. Got about 30 minutes in. That's the fastest I ever dropped a game, I hardly ever do. I just try not to play shitty games.
Fable 3. I loved 1 and TLC, I found 2 to be a huge disappointment but still had glimmers of what I loved in the first one. I started up 3 and my jaw hit the floor at the shit it started off with. 5 minutes in, I was done forever. Fuck that game. I'm glad Molyneux lost his studio.
Knack came with my ps4 I played like 10 min of that shit.
I beat it and it doesn't get better. The low poly graphics are charming, though.
Have you tried getting a cute gf?
Haha, just joking. We both know you'll never get one
>Buy PUBG
>Get to top 20 in first game then die to wall because I thought I could outrun it and wanted some more kills
>Die instantly second game because my house has literally zero guns but my neighbor got a shotgun
>Same thing third game
>Same thing fourth game
>Get a refund and never look back
Shit game.
hey i do this too except instead of bed it's another game and sometimes i do this for twenty, thirty minutes, just opening games, getting no more than 30 seconds into any of them and then just deflating
I've started reading again now, and that's really working
aaaaaaaaaaaa
No need to remind me.
I do that too. I don't read though it's too much effort. I can barely bring myself to do anything.
the fuck
>No need to remind me.
How does it feel?
Fallout New Vegas.
It was just a modded version of Fallout 3 and Fallout 3 was awful to begin with.
The game gets better but not markedly so, it's super short so you were probably half way through
When you unlock the pre-rendered background cities, run around in low-poly 3D and it emulates CD loading is a hilarious touch though
Evoland 2 is a better game
Fallout New Vegas fixes at least the story problem of Fallout 3
The engine and gameplay is still fucked though
>drakengard 2
>Fine
NOPE
You did yourself a favor
Witcher 2 and Deus Ex HR
Tales of Zestiria, only played 8 minutes according to my steam account.
I played like the first 20 minutes of Disgaea before I returned it to Gamestop the next day.
Not that it was a bad game, but once I saw the depth of the grind, and the amount of time you could sink into the game, I got cold feet.
I used to love games like that back in grade/high school, but I can't imagine having the time dedication for it anymore.
>The engine and gameplay is still fucked though
couldn't be stressed enough. the story could be the citizen kane of gaming but it would all be for shit if the game plays awful.
>l4d2
>Civ 5 (actually nvm that's reasonable)
>hl1
>dude sex
I don't get how someone can give up on a game before at least 1 hour of gameplay desu, except Hotline Miami 2, that game's a bit shit tbf
Deus Ex.
No wait, I actually played a couple of hours before uninstalling that shit
Grimoire,
Holy fuck that is the clunkiest god damn UI I've ever seen. I played with it for like 3 or 4 minutes and had to stop.
Lawbreakers.
Fuck SJW shit.
why the fuck is it $40
>mfw I'm 90% sure I have a solid shot at getting an 8/10qt right wing good-taste-in-music gf
shame she pretty much only plays sims and telltale games but w/e I want to start playing less vidya anyways
Why even buy a game if you're not going to play it?
Jak 2
Saw the first cutescene and new character design and already thought that shot was ugly, then the first city sold the deal.
Dark souls 3 on the PC because it gives me a black screen and doesn't start.
because i thought i was going to play it
I have no idea, the graphics clip when you turn corners, the resolution is eye straining, the amount of raw un-labeled number data is discouraging and the UI explains NOTHING. Mouseover should give you a basic description of any value you look at in a dungeon crawler.
I'll go replay Eye of the Beholder on NES again, that shit was dope.
Yes, many shoddy indie games. If Flash games count then it's even more.
It's "sealed the deal"
Fallout 1, controls didn't work at all, no fixes worked
this was 2 years ago, gonna buy it on sale later and try again
>Find some MMO that separates pvp and pve not by server, but by channel choice at login
>Except you can't choose which one you log into, only change it after logging in
>No safe zones in entire game, not even the starter/tutorial zone
>log in, change to pve
>do a few quests
>have to relog at first stop along the way in newbie zone
>log back in in pvp zone
>dead as soon as I load in from max level player ganking the shit out of everything in sight
>nope.avi
>uninstall immediately
Fastest I've ever uninstalled anything and the least hesitation I've ever had doing so, and I still have Wildstar installed.
sometimes the process of buying something is more exciting than playing it
shit, is this how women feel with shopping?
Then pirate it.
If that's the case, you should look into Gacha games.
Ten bucks says that collage was posted by a woman
You probably would have dropped it after the main protagonists start having gay relationship spats and tickle fights
A lot of those are really fucking good games too, the fuck
i played a few levels of yoshi's new island and just put it down because i felt like it just wasn't that great
good thing i got it for free
Resident evil six. Played the first Leon mission, like 30 min or so and dropped it. Gave it a second chance a few years later and had the same impression from the same section. Haven't touched it since.
Casul
Never because it's hard or posing a challenge but I dropped things that had bugs and technical flaws very fast.
A few days ago I downloaded Gigantic just to realize it is locked to 60fps and uninstalled it before even making it into a single match against players. Shame though, it looked interesting.
>dark souls 3
>game runs like complete ass even though I recently upgraded my pc
>controller won't work with it and keeps randomly attacking
>realize it's probably going do be a massive disappointment like the second one
All in all I spent about 10 minutes in game.
I'm 23, and I've been playing games pretty much my whole life.
The only game I actually fucking DROPPED was The Witcher 1. Awful, awful.
Wanted to try getting into the series but I couldn't stomach it.
Sakura Wars. I thought it was going to be more mecha fighting instead of puzzle/romance-novel shit.
i sincerely went in thinking it was some sort of opera-overly-dramatic mecha RPG. I was fucking so wrong.
are you me
Tried the Pokken DX demo and after the tutorial and one vs cpu I stopped. Totally killed my interest.
Yes, The Darkness II
The intro was EXTREMELY loud for no reason at all, not just high volume, it was headphone-killing high volume.
Quit and uninstalled as soon as I hit the main menu.
>Risk of Rain
>Left 4 Dead 2
>Civ V
>Half-Life
>Deus Ex
>MOTHERFUCKING JET SET RADIO
This shitty Comedy Night game looked fun when Dunkey played it but was a shitshow so I got a refund
Within 5 minutes of getting into a match of Brink.
I dropped Bioshock after see what the mini games was like.
Dropped Sonic Chronicles the moment the "QTE" immediately makes your magic worthless if you aren't precise with the stylus
I cannot get into Tombraider with how Lara walks
FFXV
Jesus, what a clusterfuck that game is. I don't see the point of the fanbase unless it's just husbando faggots. Why sell an incomplete game and then force people to buy more useless movie bullshit just to understand it?
What the fuck faction did they play. I love the total war games but they are by no means hard or unfair.
who is this semen demon?
Trips of truth.
I have tried twice to get into that game to no avail, it is just extremely uninteresting and combat is absolute shit.
Poles are truly shit at game design.
I quit Dragon Age 2 about an hour after starting it, and Dragon's Dogma after about 30 minutes.
Watch_dogs
Played the first mission twice, never been able to get past it. Even have Watch_dogs 2
Mega Man X 7? I think it was. The one that introduced the guy with the handgun. Felt like shit to me for some reason.
So you started with 1, then quit immediately after, then thought maybe 2 was different but did the same shit, and didn't learn your lesson by the time the 3rd game came out?
I can see why you can't get into the DS series user.
>all these people jebaited by a shared smurf steam account
What game?
prince of persia for the wii cuz i couldn't find out what to do a few minutes into the game
That's some grade A casual shit. What the fuck user? Which one was it? If it was the reboot you did yourself a favor and I take back everything I said.
i don't remember. all i remember is getting it from blockbuster and not progressing at all over the whole week.
None of them are good games
Vagrant Story, somehow I got stuck in the first couple rooms of the game. I was probably just being retarded.
Ecco the Dolphin, I quit many many times without getting past the first level.
Planescape Torment. Started up the game and saw that I had to immediately allocate stats. Tabbed out and browsed the internet for a bit, trying to decide if I wanted to look up bad builds to avoid or just go in blind. Never ended up going back.
It was shit
Very shit
Soundtrack was ok tho
Elite Dangerous
Fable 3 is a fucking war crime
Yeah, watched the full intro and played for like 15 seconds and got sick of the combat immediately. I always say I'll give it a another try, but I never do
Tyranny
Bought phantasy star universe for ps2 with a new slim ps2 told gamestop guy how excited I was he was hyped up too from my excitement and he was waiting till he got off from work, I got home hooked everytging up and started playing got to tgis chapter like progression screen and said yeahhhhhhh fuck this. Took it back a couple hours later to that same guy and said hey whats the most I can get for this? He said about 33 bux, I said but its only been 3 hours, he said sorry and I said okay fine whatever this games a piece of shit, then he said so thats for in store credit if you want cash it will be 28... Fuck Psu man.
life is strange
