Not if you land head shots, it was excellent at picking off infantry relatively quick if you're a good aim. Magazine size was way too small though.

Some designs of sight have to be removed from the gun for battery changes.
I mean unless you've been using it a lot and really not paying attention, battery life shouldn't be a real concern. The sight getting broken could be though.
