The ryzen r5 cpus are the best processors at their price point and every AMD GPU is sold out or hiked up do too miners

It's more of my "don't care about loading times and majority storage" drive. I'd love to get some larger ssds, maybe swap my OS ssd for a M.2 and keep the ssd for the few multiplayer games I play, but hey, money.

My OS is, but the game is on the disc drive. I'm soooo happy I made that switch, but I want to upgrade some of that stuff.

I've had way too many people say this and then they've got crazy screen tearing, lowered graphics or resolutions, sub 60 fps but they are too retarded to notice.

The game isn't optimized and doesn't run well. Just because you've got dual 1080ti and i7 10000 series to get 60fps doesn't mean it's fine you fucking idiots

There is something seriously wrong with your rigs. I fucking pull this shit off at scaling 105 @ 1440p so get your fucking shit checked.

I've got plenty of room on the SSD so I'll switch it over to see how it performs, but so far it has been pretty solid. I've really had no issue with the game whatsoever, but I think it's funny how the game runs so well despite the gimp leg 5400rpm disc drive.

Nice meme but no, 7700 is literally better for the same price because you can get cheapest mobo and ram.

PUBG has been proven to run WORSE on Intel because it overloads a single core but doesn't on AMD.
PUBG is one of the few games that Ryzen runs better, if only because it is terrible optimized on Intel by chance.
The 7700k in particular runs it particularly bad.

They recently added optimization for 6+ cores. I have an old FX8350 and all the cores are equally used, maxing out at like 70% use. Problem is that the game runs considerably worse on amd GPU's compared to the nvidia equivalent card.

well that's an entirely different conversation.
A lot of people use AMD+Nvidia, in some games AMD+Nvidia beats out AMD+AMD as ironic as that is.

I'm just saying it's ironic that these people are greentexting "ryzen" when it's literally Intel processors that had a huge problem with optimization in this one specific game.

Because the game is designed in such a way that certain elements of the game systems are needlessly tied to the frame output which causes the GPU to wait several milliseconds longer which causes it to sometimes miss it's frame time window which causes dropped frames and latency.
These are the kinds of things usually tweaked or improved during a late-stage optimization pass which this game is quite a ways away from reaching.
Which hardware you run is essentially insignificant past a certain point until these issues get addressed.
Don't expect anything more from an early access ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
