Horde winning AV is a myth

back in my day, one didnt simply, win, Alterac Valley. took fucking days

how many of you have seen the summoned bosses in AV?

Elemental shaman (colorized) - 2017

I have.

>i watched a danger dolan video and am talking shit xD

I summoned a boss alone a few times in Legion, and a few times with other people in WoD. How about you stop sucking dicks and play on a legit server.

I saw it in a TBC match

Reinforcements was for the better, fuck spending days to earn marks.

he didn't see shit

>"PULL DREK"
>"FUCK HURRY UP PULL DREK"
>wipes
>"WOOOW WHO PULLED DREK WITH ONLY 7 IN THE ROOM GG"

Who hyped for new bgs in whatever the next expansion is???

How awful do you think they'll all be?

>new bgs

nice meme bro

Only experienced AV from Alliance point of view right after reinforcements since I leveled really slow:
>Rush Galv
>Half team turtle bridge while the other team rushes Relief Hut
>Wait outside Drek until people cap the towers and his adds are gone
Either:
>Pull Drek and nuke him down
or
>Wait until Horde reinforcements runs
We won like 90% of the time which was fine by me since I was only in it for the marks.

See what, m8? You're blind.

i can remember spending 60 hours in AV over a 5 day battle.
It was fucking awesome.

Tell me i've wasted my life.

This, all the newest BGs are shit.

Especially everything that came out of MOP

BAD PUSSI DABID

A daring synthesis that goes unappreciated by the Sup Forumseddit hordes.
Bravo OP.

>tfw going to the yeti cave to farm for literally no reason
>anyone that presses M can see you're jacking off in the yeti cave
>that 1 guy that calls you out in bg chat and tells everyone to report you afk

just let me farm the yetis god fucking damnit

Kotmogu is ok and it's not like the old bgs are any good either.

>play AV in TBC
>horde wins 90% of games on shadowburn battlegroup
>alliance lose so fucking much they use all 3 queue slots on WSG AB and EotS
>60m AV queues unless it's the BG weekend
>map gets "rebalanced"
>horde towers cannot defend the aid station
>alliance southern bunker can

horde deserved to get assfucked back then for having free superior racials

I only did AV once to get some blue spear from a quest

Hold up, is that a fucking wheelchair? A wheelchair in a universe with super powerful healing magic?
Isn't Drek'thar a fucking shaman who can heal and empower himself with basically no effort at all?

BRAVO BLIZZARD

It can't be easy for his body to be farmed for years

>alliance rush drek
>wait for towers to fall
>pull drek and kite him around the large concave pillar with cheetah aspekt cuz i am best class
>everyone admires your skill thinking you are some kinda god and everyone expects hunters being mouthbreathing blobs

lol scrubs

>cheetah
>not pack
you had one job fellow hunter

>pack

i am not a dickhead and actually want the fucking match to end fast

i love turning pack on to piss of other players

Why the fuck are you doing that bitch? Come help instead

why the FUCK would you farm those yetis?!

what the fuck is wrong with you?

back in vanilla i leveled my warrior this way some

i was horde so its not like we'd ever win anyway i just farmed yetis for xp while hoping against hope someone would get a khorakk group going so i could maybe finally get my ice barbed spear

Blizzard was so stupid ruining this good BG, yeah it took hours or days to finish one, but this is waht made the BG so good, now look at the current state, rush to enemy boss, kill rush to enemy end boss kill and win, 0 pvp. How is this fun? When I made a thread on Reddit about bringing back old AV, the newfags came and said "but it takes ages to finish the old AV, it wasn't fun, heHE now I just rush across the map to kill boss heHE".....

I think they'd drop like 30 silver sometimes, and then the harpies were outside where you could grab some cloth to make bandages

Shame they changed how AV worked. It was designed as a PvP zone with quests and other PvE content. Then it just became a generic BG because people bitched when they lost a 5 day battle.

The only upside to the change was that getting the AV quest Rare and the Rep grind for the Epics became alot faster.

i lied it was frostwolves in the cave by our base

>AV in legion

It went from my fav BG to the least played, because it is just so fucking bad. Another generic BG without real reason to play it, it was really a war effort, huge team play to win, now it is fucking SHIT, but this is what current gen WoW players enjoy actually, try to make a thread on blizz forum or reddit and you are the one who is a retard...

youtube.com/watch?v=piehQErl4ME

all that and you don't point out the fact that the wheels are embedded several inches into the ground

This is the greatest hero of the Horde and Azeroth in General.

no it's me you stupid fuck

Wrong, I was the one who killed Archimonde, liberated Suramar, slew Helya, ETC

I'm the main character

>made a thread on reddit
go away and never come back

but you didn't kill sargeras like I did

Get on Return of Reckoning friend.

I have

whatever you did wasn't canon since you're not the main character, so it doesn't matter.

Well not anymore since its gone...
Because blizzard hates fun and class utility

>A greenskin slut wearing thong armour is the saviour of Azeroth

>WSG
>Horde always wins because the map favors them. Shorter distance to flag, lack of invisible walls preventing shortcuts in Alliance base, graveyard cliff just short enough to not take damage from jumping off while you take 1/4th your life from Alliance.

>Arathi
>Horde always wins because the map favors them. Less distance from spawn to everywhere except stables, horde side has easily abusable shortcut across the water to BS where Alliance doesn't.

>EoTS
>Horde always wins because the map favors them. Shorter distance to BE Tower than Alliance has to mage tower, Fel Reaver has unscalable cliff to protect it as well as being practically immune to 'walk around attack from back', where as Draenei Ruins has both weaknesses.

>Silvershard Mines
>Horde always wins because the map HEAVILY favors them. Shorter distances to almost every single turn in, carts spawn closer to their spawn.

>Twin Peaks
>Horde always wins because the Alliance secondary entrance is a ramp while theirs is flooded, meaning no one except shamans and DKs and maybe rogues with that walk on water sprint glyph can attack that way.

>Temple of Kot-whatever
>Toss up between Horde and Alliance. One of the few truly mirror maps.

>Battle for Gilneas
>Horde always wins because the map favors them. Less distance from their spawn to both their capture point and the windmill. Horde also gets to jump over the water while alliance has to dismount and swim through it.

>Strand of the Ancients
>Cancerous map that everyone declines. Horde always wins because the system always spawns them attacking first, allowing them to game the points mechanic and always be ahead.

>Alterac Valley
>Sole map where Alliance usually (but not always) wins because the Alliance Bridge is much easier to defend than the Horde entrance. Still doesn't stop nigger horde players from abusing the glitch entrance along the cliff to the south.

Grow up horde babbies. Your shitty game has had rampant horde bias in every aspect for years.

The only constant in all your losses and the real cause was that your poor teammates had to play with you on their side.

Gid gud shitter

>that one with the orbs and the pit
>"Guys, we only have two. Hop out of the pit and go grab another."
>They just keep on fighting in the pit
>They can't seem to understand why they lost
I want say bad content was the reason I ubsub'd, but it's not. It's everyone else I had to play it with

Silvershard and Twin Peaks are the only egregiously broken ones although I don't know about SotA or AV because I veto them for being shit or the Wrath island one because I just fight in the middle on that one instead of trying to win.

>How to be a retarded faggot: The Post
Incorrect.
The constant in my losses were the maps. Also you assumed I played Alliance.

Even when sides are flipped Horde still wins more, and the only BG where the one side always wins more is AV because of that bridge

it's telling that Horde wins more on Kotmogu which is literally a mirror match

blame it on racials, horde player personality, or player age, whatever, but it hasn't been a problem of map

forgot my image

alliance is just awful

I rerolled Alliance to play with friends in Legion. In randoms we only won AV and Isle of Conquest the majority of the time. If the other maps were imbalanced in favor of the Horde it might not have mattered since it seemed like Alliance always lost actual fights unless they had a large number advantage. I don't think I -ever- won a Battle of Kotmogu on Alliance, and as you said, it's basically mirrored so the best team should win. Horde advantage in Twin Peaks is bullshit, though.

Meanwhile my Horde characters that I mained in TBC and WotLK have about a >60% win rate recorded in all bgs.

It's worth noting that the win rates for both factions greatly vary depending on what battlegroup you are in.

In my battlegroup, Alliance always wins AV and Kotmongu, and always loses everything else, especially Silvershard. I have never once ever seen Alliance win Silvershard Mines. To this day I still do not have the achievement for winning a Silvershard Mines match.

Also remember that 9 times out of 10, Horde has more healers.

Back when you needed to gear for pvp what I found most telling was comparing the average hp horde and alliance. You join the bg and just click on people and overall the horde players just had more gear. I think you just have more casuals on alliance.

Quite a few times in the last days

I had a similar experience with Silvershard as well. I think we did manage to win it once or twice. Having to get acquainted with the MoP BGs as Alliance sucked. We almost always lost them. I played on Tichondrius which I believe is the tryhard PvP server, so I was in that battlegroup.

I have no love for the current state of AV, but I love the fact that you can fuck over 40 people by just having 2-3 people backtrack

It was during Wrath of the Lich King. Realistically I might have been one of the last people to see it happen on the live realms

A lot. I've been party to summoning them and have seen them duking it out. I've been in matches where everything was activated and still took 3 more hours to kill Drek

That's what I do in AV. DESU I try to make the games last as long as possible.

>Most of them are effectively mirror maps
>Somehow they have ridiculously skewed stats in favor of one side or the other
Like what the fuck does Alliance always start a certain position on Strand or something? How does that even HAPPEN?

I don't really know why there's such a huge difference in Strand, it shouldn't matter because you're just playing both sides of the exact same map - it's probably because Alliance blacklists it for some reason because for a while people "knew" Horde won more. That means only the less informed, less skilled players don't have it blacklisted. Best explanation I got.

Either way though, Blizzard hasn't looked at BGs for balance for ages even though they MUST have these same stats too. It's retarded.

> ammo

wait a fucking minute this isn't retail is it?

BGs used to not end unless someone summoned one of these, and even then half the time they just kill him before he left the center.

Vanilla private server, probably an Elysium shitter.

You should see level 60s in retail. For some reason Blizzard broke low level scaling and level 60 players have more HP than, IIRC, a level 70 did during TBC.

>nelf hunter
scum

>Escort the Alliance summoners to the spot
>They start summoning
>And never stop
Fuck the buggy Alliance summoners, and fuck Lok'halar when you play as a frost mage.

Remember before the overhaul? with mines and elite npcs and Korrak or whatever the fuck his name was

>implying it's not the masterace

> /e you will be kicked it 45 seconds for being Away From Keyboard, type /afk to stop being Away From Keyboard

Alternatively, make a portal and then ask for help summoning food tray.

>Posting a screencap where you got beaten by two other players because that's the best you've ever done
Embarrasing TBQH

I joined 4 hours in and caught up to a shaman in full t1 while being a hunter in not even in full pre-bis m8, the other was a rogue, didn't spot him.

>>Battle for Gilneas
>>Horde always wins because the map favors them. Less distance from their spawn to both their capture point and the windmill. Horde also gets to jump over the water while alliance has to dismount and swim through it.
Alliance is the one who get to jump over the water, horde doesn't have a way of crossing into WW without swimming.

>not even a 3.0 KDA
>not even first place
>censors his name out of shame

sad

>premades

>av premade that zergs for 7 hours

dude what?! which part made you think this was a premade?

BRAVO DABID

The fact you died only 15 times and that can be only 2 reasons, you either have a personal healer 24/7 or you are sitting back waiting for level 50s to oneshot instead of pushing the objectives.

Beside joining with a premade team doesn't mean joining with other 39 people.

>The fact you died only 15 times and that can be only 2 reasons, you either have a personal healer 24/7 or you are sitting back waiting for level 50s to oneshot instead of pushing the objectives.

>have the most objectives done on alliance side because most (normal people) left the match anyway so new people came in

maybe, JUST maybe, I am not a mouthbreathing retard and actually know how to play hunter and not die by running into a mob of 2 warriors, a rogue and a warlock?

>healers EVER poketing a hunter
lmao my ass, if I EVER had a personal healer i would have 0 deaths
just because i sometimes browse Sup Forums doesn't mean I am a memeing mouthbreathing retard like the average Sup Forums user who can't play one of the easiest MMOs out there

Vanilla AV is the only lingering good memory from WoW that I have. Seemed like objective shit actually mattered and winning was satisfying. Last thing I remember when I quit during MOP was it being a 20 minute long rush fest with both sides giving a wide berth to avoid slowing the rush train.

>Last thing I remember when I quit during MOP was it being a 20 minute long rush fest with both sides giving a wide berth to avoid slowing the rush train.

yeah, that's why as alliance you have to cap that neutral graveyard in the middle
usually the alliance just lets horde have it, since it's imperative to the horde rush and useless for alliance, but if alliance caps it it forces a fight on the field of strife
it also lets you troll 79 noobs that want a stupid rush game

>also lets you troll 79 noobs that want a stupid rush game

>"lol those stupid NOOBS trying to farm marks in the most efficient way due to a flawed reward system that was imposed onto them haha i'm gonna fuck em so bad lololololol xd"

you must be a real nice person to be around irl

marks aren't in retail anymore
