They recycled the lipsync and animations straight from the original PS2 game with no touch up so all of the cutscenes look stiff and awkward with the new models.

All of the bosses now hand long cool down periods before they die where they stagger and regenerate their health as they glow a color, forcing you to use a specific style's heat attack on them or else their health regenerated completely. This happens multiple times in some fights.

All of the bosses are ripped straight from previous games, meaning they lack real personality, and take away the originality of those bosses later on.

The sections in the original that were annoying like the final level and second to last boss fight aren't improved at all in Kiwami.
