It's census time Sup Forums. How old is the average Sup Forums poster here? Please answer truthfully so we can get a full idea of how old the community is here. Also, please post in this thread when you started posting on Sup Forums and what type of Sup Forums threads you like to lurk or post on here.

I'm 22 and I love the drawfag threads. Been here since 2014

>26-29 winning
So these are the people making eceleb and twitch/youtube threads?

21. Been here since around 13.
help

turned 40 last december

these are the people externalizing their general dissatisfaction with life onto every new game

this, I feel old as shit on this site sometimes

30, been here since....around 2006 I guess?

I still remember moot posting regularly, also that Robot Unicorn Attack craze that overtook Sup Forums, the site background was changed to the yaranaika face and Erasure's Always was playing on loop

33, I love lurking everything that is not console wars and brands circlejerking

19. Started browsing in 2013.

>31
>Don't remember, Sup Forums on and off since 2004, but I didn’t use Sup Forums for several years.
>Various thread interests. Threads for upcoming games I'm keeping an eye on, favorite games for X system, hidden gem/obscure/only you played threads, nostalgia threads, fighting game threads, beat 'em up threads (super rare), rpg threads, etc.

I am in that category and I don't do that at all, I buy tons of new games and enjoy most of them as I'm an idort.

That's because you are. I am willing to bet most people are lying about their age. The real age zone of Sup Forums seems to be mostly 17-21

They're either lying or the oldfags that never left.

i know #notall but you must admit it's a very real phenomenon
sometimes it's easy to tell the difference between someone genuinely not liking a game and someone genuinely not liking much of anything

I'm 34 and definitely feeling too old for this place finally. I been on Sup Forums for over a decade but I don't belong here. Too many youngfags act like they know everything but don't know shit.

>That's because you are.
Thanks for the honesty
>The real age zone of Sup Forums seems to be mostly 17-21
I would believe it.

Mostly lurking , watching you fags bickering amonst yourselves is truly entertainement at it's finest .

17-27

>youngfags act like they know everything but don't know shit
That's millennials for you. Pretty much reddit in a nutshell. It's sad to see the rest of the internet becoming more of the same.

22.

As for my journey to Sup Forums, it began at the around the time Samurai Jack season 5 lead me to Sup Forums and reading the livestream Chat on Sup Forums. From there, I settled on Sup Forums and been here since.

Mainly I stay away from threads abou I don't know and console wars stuff unless it looks really interesting (like maplestory 2, don't play PC but I looked it up because of cute chibi.)

Best times I have are in fight game threads. When the tards aren't around trying to bait fights between games, it's just the chilliest thing to be apart of. Got me into getting Guilty Gear and contemplate getting Tekken 7 (that Katarina doe, also JOHNNY BOY).

That's about it. Fuck I write to much. Oh, and I'm a filthy phonefag. :^)

Started when I was like fucking 11 or something. 24 now, will be 25 in two months.

Personal blog inbound.

Stopped browsing during the "first exodus" though in favor of the Eight. Realized what a fucking right-wing nut-job shithole 8 was and stopped browsing there about a year ago. Came back here and was at first pleasantly surprised by how not-totally-fucking-awful this place was. Now it's been a week and I'm thinking about leaving again. Can't be complicit to some of this shit.

>turned 29 a week ago

I refuse to believe people in the 25-30 range are the ones who waatch and post about youtubers

Same

29 next month.

Been browsing here since 2008, I think
I mostly look for threads about games I like, but then I quickly get bored because it's basically the same stuff over and over. I also browse LOL threads, hoping something new gets posted. I think I generally enjoy off-topic threads the most, even though I recognize each one is a cancer to this board.

I'm 28 and in only subscribed to two gaming channels. Most channels u watch are either politics or cars.

If I was 34 and still here, I would question my life choices. I'm only 23 and I already feel too old for this place. I mean last week I went to Sup Forums and people were acting nostalgia over the Xbox 360 and TF2.

Nah I don't watch anything at all. I've been burnt out from everything for years.

Same, 28 this December. Starting to get my shit together, better late than never I guess.

You don't have to participate in the youngfag banter and shitposting. I'm 31 and come here from time to time still because I can usually find some threads of interest to have actual, decent conversations with people in.

>i know #notall but you must admit it's a very real phenomenon
I don't doubt it, I hear friends say that shit and I'm like "you don't even buy any new games aside from shitty multiplatform games, of course you think gaming sucks now"

I really like the gamer fuel threads, it's a shame they get deleted fast. There should be at least one off topic thread allowed on Sup Forums

Even I feel to old for this place.

How old are you?

I'm only 19 and I feel too old for this shit sometimes.

30. Got here in 2009.
Am I the only one that actually lurked for a couple years before ever posting?

I'm 19, and I've been here since 2013, I think. I used to lurk heavy because I'd constantly see "lurk moar" everywhere, and it helped me get a general idea of how this place worked. I still do it when I go on new boards, or boards I haven't been on in a while. I mostly stuck to MH threads or whatever looked cool.

I'm probably the oldest guy here
36
Been here since gee gee K-pop babby was a meme here

21, been posting on Sup Forums since 2011.
I like videogame/Sup Forums culture videogame threads. I don't like e-celeb/twitter shit.

Why would you question your life choices? What do you expect your 34 year old self will be doing? I work full time, own home, and have a cute younger fiance. I'm always going to have an interest in vidya.

1982/12/28
First vidya ownership: NES in Christmas '88

>gee gee K-pop babby
That feels like yesterday to me but I know it isn't.

>29
>Can't really remember when I started, maybe around 2008-2009
>I like rpgs thread but spend most of the time in low effort shitposting threads because they're fast and I need the entertainment at work

I've never posted

Those people are usually either
>those who have played vidya so much that nothing feels new to them, could really use some time off vidya
>those who have no idea what all games even exist now, so they say that all modern vidya is shit using the state of AAA vidya as their only example, and fall back to golden childhood nostalgia

Honestly, the latter is more annoying. Because I live in a country where PS1 was the console that popularized vidya, you get those retards who constantly blabber shit like "oh remember how ebin Crash Bandicoot and Spyro was, too bad that they don't make games like that, it's all just Call of Duty now". It's so damn clear that they don't really even know what they're talking about.

I'm probably the oldest here... born in 1962. I remember the days when I worked for Packard Bell (before it became ATT) and came home to play my Atari / Commodore 64.

Me too

That was back when Sup Forums used to do Harmony and there was no captcha system

29 been here since 2006

37 going on 80

>all these good goyim willingly giving out their info
post pics too and home adresses while you're at it

I'm aware but what was the year? Like 2012?

28

Started lurking around 2007, I fondly remember daily CDi YTP threads.

I like to find the occasional Terraria thread, Battlestation/gore thread, filename threads. I miss Stardew Valley generals and Dark Souls lore threads, pre-PC.

MOTHERFUCKING PAC-BELL!! Was it called Pacific Bell before they shortened it or was that something different?

It's always the latter

A friend of mine was like "all games suck now" but they skipped all the good games released because they weren't bro-tier or cinematic enough.

>the majority of people are my age range
I legitimately expected a higher replacement rate.

wew, 55... does it get any better? Or is the noose at 30 not that crazy of a thought?

>It's so damn clear that they don't really even know what they're talking about.
Nothing better than normies who haven't even played vidya after their childhood (and even then they played the most mainstream stuff that everyone else played) but they still try to be elitist about it.

Remember vidya RAGE threads?
Remember when everyone used to call each other bros here
Remember when mods used to post in threads

26, been lurking since I was 16

30. Used Sup Forums since 2006.

I'll never understand why some anons think you magically lose interest in vidya or anonymous image boards past a certain age.

No, everything is a blur, it amazes me how people remember when or how they came here the first time, seems so insignificant

I'm 22 but everytime I see let's play or eceleb thread on Sup Forums I feel too fucking old for this place.

I remember Sup Forumsirgins more than Sup Forumsros, but I remember Sup Forumsros having similar usage to Sup Forumstards on Sup Forums.

I loved mod threads where they dicked around with website settings and handed out silly bans.

Maybe they're only here or play vidya because they have nothing better to do
like me

>I'll never understand why some anons think you magically lose interest in vidya or anonymous image boards past a certain age.
It's most likely underages who think that growing up to adult involves some kind of magical personality change at age 18-22. It really doesn't, the change is very gradual, and if someone is really interested in something at that age, they usually stay interested in it for the rest of their life. The tastes inside the subject may change (40 year old movie buff will most likely have somewhat different taste than he had when he was 18 etc.), but the general interests stay the same.

Packard Bell is still Packard Bell and is owned by Acer. It has nothing to do with ATT. What are you even talking about?

>30+

wtf am I doing with my life?

Turning 26 in November, started posting off-and-on from 2007 to 2011, then I moved to the official LoL forums as I found it more amusing to shitpost on.
Returned to Sup Forums in early 2015 when they turned the place into literally R*ddit and found out there is literally nowhere else on the internet you can talk about vidya without draconian mods and guidelines.

23
Been here since I was like 16-17 and I lurked for like 2 years before posting

I like anything about games desu, I just hate shitposting, console war threads, gacha threads, and moba threads so I just ignore them and hide them

Wasn't this guy suppose to make an FPS game and make us his bitch?

mah niggah, those were the good times. Also the subtle CP posting was hilarious, people really freaked out.

>Too many youngfags act like they know everything but don't know shit.

This. 33 here. The worst is when they try to argue with you when they are objectively wrong.

28, 2 weeks ago.

I'm surprised I still alive and only vaguely enjoy vidyagames.

Sup Forums is not a place for the mentally stable, even the creator is (was) not good on the head.

Spending it. Enjoy. Get yourself some coffee or your favorite drink

Spoiler alert. The vast majority of people aren't mentally stable. They just retreat into the shadows when they are losing their shit instead of venting on a georgian basket weaving bbs.

>that pic

this really sparkle my almonds

I don't understand Sup Forums modding, there are always one or two softcore (sometimes loli) hentai threads going on and maybe even a subtle Sup Forums thread but when a thread that is somewhat tangentially related to games, it gets deleted.

19. I'm cute, still look 16, and I've got a huge dick

no, actually mentally stable people doesn't group with people that love gay porn, atheism, furry or scat fetish. Remember, You are the average of the people you frequent the most with.

>subtle CP posting

Be glad you weren't here in 2004. It wasn't subtle to troll newfags. Dedicated threads of it would stay up for shockingly long periods of time. That was also when it was essentially impossible to refresh the Sup Forums index without seeing pain series, Zippocat, NEDM, or one of the other bits of classic gore/animal abuse. Simultaneously horrible and great times.

I'm 24 and I love video games
I'm currently contemplating suicide tho

>The vast majority of people aren't mentally stable.

Oh piss off. Most (normie) people are having the time of their lives on COD 28 while we nitpick decent games to death.

Sup Forums is even worse. be grateful. I've had completely serious threads and posts deleted for not being 100% positive about a popular anime and they always give some bullshit reason for why your thread/post was deleted when it was well within the rules and you weren't baiting.

Hate to break it to you friend but Sup Forums is normie and mainstream as fuck, and hasn't been the asshole of the internet in a decade. 2007 was the beginning of the mainstream newfag influx.

>tfw been on this fucking site for 7 years
>tfw only 20

See the problem is you guys are new or relatively new compared to us older guys. Also, if you were over 30 you would have the life experience to know most people are batshit or headed towards it.

Man i STILL do this. It's so fun watching people get corrupt at the sight of their greatest temptation.

The best part is watching them go through denial as they refuse to belive cat goddess nudes are real and not just photoshoped. If you crop it well enough, no one will notice and you wont even get banned!

>implying i wont just reset my ip anyway

I'd say 2014 was when this place really became a normalfag cesspool.

30.

Yesterday I saw someone say computers didn't exist until the 90s.
I think its time to go now.

I mean you can believe that if you like, but it actually started going down that road in 2007 and then skyrocketed in 2008 with Boxxy and Chanology. 2008 is the earliest correct answer.

I'm 28.

Depends on the board. Sup Forums was pretty normie free until 2012 but it was in a massive decline from 2010 onward.
