How well would he fair?

Seeing as how there's no magic in the setting, not good. But hey,he can swing his blades pretty well, and that's good enough.
I don't expect him to go roaring and massacring an entire village like the main character though. He doesn't seem like the type of guy to kill every man, woman, and child after a village force feeds him his buddy.
