Should the viewers immediatly recognize that something impressive is going on and that unreal engine or idtech engine never done it?
Its like that video of unreal engine 4 with a monster in a volcano. I was like "ok cool" but what was so impressive?

It's partly a matter of showing how far we've come and what's now capable with the latest tools. In this particular case, it's not just a showcase of what the engine can do, but also just how amazing and efficient DirectX 12 is compared to DX11.

Tech demos aren't famed for their narrative.

That demo is a couple years old. A lot can change in a couple years.

Only if you have Windows 10. DX12 is only available on W10.

If you really want that then expect FFXVI to be an RPG shooter. To me that's mighty fine but I'm guessing most of you would dislike it.
