ok you have down syndrome

Its really overall okay

Everyone who played the game likes it.

I liked it. I would grind just to listen to the battle theme.

I liked Lightning's armpits.

do you not understand how extremely wrong you are this shit got blasted on release people fucking hated it

dang ok just stop cursing at me man

It really isn't as bad as people say.
I personally picked it up for dirt cheap couple years ago, despite having heard all sorts of shit about it.

The BEGINNING really didn't even try to prove all the bad claims about it wrong, but luckily, to my own surprise as well, the more I played, the more entertaining and hooking it became. It's not GOTYAY or best JRPG ever in any sense, but it's FAR from the "worst crap ever" -category. A solid 7/10 experience IMO.

The sequels fixed, expanded and improved many things, especially pacing and gameplay. Up to you whether you like the direction they went with the plot and cast, but they're not hideous either. I found especially LR to be total blast, easily my 2014's GOTY. The 13-2 was simply fun, easily 8/10 at least.

fr*ck this place. im so sick of the vulgarity

>goty
>lightning return
>goty
>goty

excuse me?

I liked pulse. Cocoon was a mess. If 13 had been 3 pulses ducktaped together with cocoon as city smack dab in the middle with a functioning economy, and snow was murdered within the first hour of the game, I'd consider it top 5 FF.

I'm sorry you have such shit taste.

youtube.com/watch?v=MjrWjptj9Xc

FFXIII Trilogy for PS4 when?

you heard that correct.
One of the best JRPGs in... well, over 10 years actually. Damn much fun, lots of freedom, and awesome atmosphere.

>and snow was murdered within the first hour
Fuck off. Snow is one of THE best, most likable FF characters EVER created. You emo-fags can go cut your wrists to join yer Linkin Park singers in hell.

I'm surprised by how entertaining the combat can be, even if the paradigm system feels like dumbed down job system it can be quite complex. I mean, even ordinary encounters can kill you easily just because improper set-up, so you have to adapt the roles according to the situation.

Shame about the linearity tho.

>not having a mid-tier PC and playing them all at 4K

>That scene when he saves Hope in Palumpolum
Kino

>this shit got blasted on release people fucking hated it
A few memers and Youtubers hated it. Who care what other people think. Formulate your own opinions and start playing some videogames.

I liked it, but it was fucking WACK.

Actually, ever Final Fantasy game I played was good, enjoyable, but also had some atrocious feature or character that damn near ruined the experience

Its the only ff game that held my attention.
Naturally its main fanbase shit on it. Just. Faggots.

youtube.com/watch?v=fWGZFG7HhnI

As an user wouldjust beat the game a few hours ago. I went in expecting to dislike it. But damn if it wasn't a fun ride. The characters, the music and the gameplay. 8/10 game. The fucking retarded story and Bart killed it.

youtube.com/watch?v=y_Dgj83Q-50

Oh, also a major rewrite of the story. I can sorta let the first half slide, for set up expectation, but the second half was a mess, and the ending was just unpleasant.

>Snow is one of THE best, most likable FF characters EVER created
... ... I'm just going to assume you're gay and that you're thinking with the wrong head.

I tried three times to enjoy it.

The battle system just isn't fun.

Then again I think FFT is fun, so if that tells you anything.

youtube.com/watch?v=e8XcJ0VFjOE

youtube.com/watch?v=PBoBO0YMBys

>... ... I'm just going to assume you're gay and that you're thinking with the wrong head.
Nope. Married for 5 years now, happy with my life, and Snow = the ultimate bro I'd love to hang out with / be.

Just cause you're married doesn't stop you from being gay.

youtube.com/watch?v=WjJvyi23xeU

youtube.com/watch?v=fH5QcBC0G28

>Just cause you're married doesn't stop you from being gay.
Gays don't bone girls and make offspring.
And regardless of my practically nonexistent curiosities, Snow is not on my "I'd hit that" list.
He's just refreshingly positive guy, with enough guts and brawn to get a job done. Lucky bastard even gets to bone a girl that looks like 14yo.,

The segment 02:13-02:38 is amazing

Me too. Comfy music and fast paced combat made up for everything else. For a moment I even felt like shedding some tears after finishing this game. I just wish it wasn't so linear... Previous FFs were linear too, but at least tried to make you feel the opposite and gave you more interaction with the world other than just beating new enemies.

Wrong link.

Meant this one

This theme without the ;yrics is really damn comfy (for me)

Same.

I enjoyed FFXII vanilla, although I have to admit I got a bit burned out towards the end. Vaan and Penelo weren't as awful as people made them out to be. My biggest complain about this game is it's laggy magic system.

>attempt to heal somebody
>have to wait because a horde of enemies are using abilities or casting aoe black magic
>something casts Flare or some other late game spell
>can't do nothing for 30 seconds
>mfw fighting Chaos for the first time

The last bit. Comfyy.

Forgot link once again

youtube.com/watch?v=C47W-WEHK2Q

This is really comfy for me too.
youtube.com/watch?v=HwmREw4MqFw

I thought it was alright. It had a fun battle system, but fuck me if I didn't hate every character other than Snow and Sazh. Still the least good mainline FF other than II

Yeah? Fuck you, you whore. The mere idea that you can like this game speaks volumes about the type of person you are. It's linear, dull, and the only reason people talk about it is because for whatever reason they want to fuck the blow up doll that this game decides to call a main character.

I asked myself and he said you're full of shit.

Academia had the best setting of all of the games, fight me

i liked it too but the game suffers from two huge problems. It takes waaaay too long to get started properly, and doesn't have a really hard optional boss so people don't bother to learn all the cool shit you can do with positioning and stuff. The overall difficulty is pretty low too but at least it doesn't have the shitty gimmicks bosses other RPGs have which i hate

No, I just don't want people like you defending Square Enix ruining their brand.

I wanna play XIII-2 but the time travel plot confuses me.

Where's a Lightning ERPer when I need one?

I had one, but then they vanished on me.

the time travel in the game is pretty self-explanatory, I wouldn't be scared away by it. Just play the game and if you get to a point where you're stuck and don't know where to go, just look up a walkthrough

Wow. 2 threads at once? I don't mind, since 13 is a straight masterpiece, but now I'm going to have to post overtime.

i honestly don't get the criticism

>it's linear!

jrpg are linear in their nature, FFX is as equaly as linear and it doesn't get half the shit it gets, everytime someone complains that a game is too linear it's always one of those moron who has to spend an eternity watching their character walking through some empty plain

>the combat is automated

i like the paradigm shift system because it's the perfect compromise between auto and manual, FF12 is more automated than FF13 but it's fine for that game

>whole game is piss easy for most time
>reach that second something (dunno what's that is, this is my first FF) that gives you time limmit, before he fucks you over, and you have to impress it or something
>try atleast 11 times, and still couldn't beat those fucker.
It's been 3 years since I last played this shit. Anyone who knows who I am talking about know, knows how to beat him?
Maybe I will try to replay, when I know how not to get stuck again.

Played FF13, like 13 hours later I was getting tutorial messages. Fuck that.

>since 13 is a straight masterpiece
come on man, you can't go around saying that without explaining yourself.

How do you explain the handholding? The fact that multiple parts of the games mechanics are held from the player for up to 12 hours? The story taking so long to really get going? Some of the characters having genuinely NO place in the story?

>Calls game easy
>Gets stuck on a fucking Eidolon battle
You have to be 18+ to post here.

That's the games ingenuity. It gives you all this time to learn the mechanics but it doesn't force you to. You get what you put in. If you got stuck, you probably didn't bother to learn the mechanics properly.

Same. I like the whole trilogy

Git gud

Fuck you, I hated it.

...

...

The game uses different party members to force the player to use roles he normally wouldn't in order to learn what each role does. It's not hand holding. Each character is humanly flawed and has depths that are very subtle and easy to miss. The story itself is paradoxical in nature and deals with a philosophical theme. It's a mature and adult game that allows the player to dig as deep as they want to.

>entire game is pressing a, until you win with maybe with 2 enemy expection
>suddenly this fucker I allready told about
>get fucked
>"well shit, maybe I need to try to use only physic attack"
>get fucked
>"M-maybe, only magic attack?"
>get fucked
>tried buffing/debuffing, using this potions, diffrent stance,
>impression bar raise only 1/2% maybe
I just don't know what was I supposed to do, he gave my monthly dose in one day,

Don't know how tho,

Maybe you can try searching the internet for answer this one time? Read a walkthrough? Put some effort perhaps?

Shhh, I'm trying to keep this thread alive.

Odin only attacks hope. Have him just heal while lightning goes ravager to raise that gestalt bar.
