A collective of SJW activists have been colluding on another board in rage at the fact that people are enjoying Grimoire. I didn't like it and I'm not even sure I'd describe it as a dungeon crawler, but then again, I don't like any of the Elder Scrolls games, so your mileage may vary.

I would recommend something more like Lands of Lore. Great games.

I am sure you are too underage to remember, but when DF was originally released to the public it was an absolute mess. He is completely dependent on handouts for survival. He literally sucks his fanbase's dick for a living.

I normally laugh at devs, but Cleve makes me sad. I really wish him the best. He just can't seem to understand that even if he did make the best game ever, people will still shit on it. He should focus on ironing out all the bugs then making another game (on a real schedule.) It's very depressing to see him waste time on frivolous things.

Throne of Chaos is the only one that is good. The other 2 are good in a 'its so bad its good' way.

The first one, Throne of Chaos, is really well designed and very beginner friendly, I don't think you'll have any troubles getting acclimated with it. I suggest you start with it.

Not him, but if you enjoy Throne of Chaos, you should consider working backwards from there into the Eye of the Beholder series, instead of forward. Lands of Lore 2 is a very different game from the first one and Lands of Lore 3 is mediocre at best.

I mean, Grimoire wasn't even playable until a few patches dropped and nobody was even capable of reaching until a few weeks ago. Hell, there's still shit within the game that either doesn't work or hasn't been implemented yet, and we're talking about a $40 game that had more than enough time to come out at this point.

The difference between Cleve and Toady is that Toady is self-aware enough to know that his game is just a game while Cleve is drunk on the kool-aid so much that he actually believes most of the shit that he's saying until he's forced to confront his flaws, like how he went from "I'm a cracker jack programmer" to "EVERYTHING HAS GONE WRONG!" in the span of 24 hours after the game initially launched.

I don't understand the Grimoire fanbase. I played the game very, very briefly, and didn't feel compelled to complete it when my Giant warrior that I threw all of the armor I could onto him as well as giving him bonus points into health, died to the first hit from a bug from the first encounter. I've only played LoL and Wizardry 7-8, but neither of them had anything like that at the beginning. That and seeing that like half the stats/spells flat out didn't work, that the game is a fucking "part one" implying that really it could end a any point and a conclusion to the story could take another twenty years, and that (from what I had read) you can't even dualclass as you can't get enough exp to exceed level 10 didn't help.
