Sound Voltex is better and more fun.
That's a funny way of spelling IIDX
Fuck off immediately.

Is there a video of anyone actually playing that drakengard 3 song on this game?
Would that even be possible?
>tfw no taiko outside japan

I'm really looking forward to the PS4 game. And hyped to hear more about the upcoming Switch one too.
PPIIIITARIIII
You can just play on the easier difficulties and build up to that crazy stuff
I don't know if I'll ever get to the point where I can pull off a song like that on the higher difficulties
i'm excited for switch because of its segmented not-dpad which means sick ass drumrolls like the PSP games
You've been making these same posts all fucking day just fuck off already
Neat, thanks.

Do they just not localize these games because of music licensing? I mean out of all the boring weebshit that gets localized you'd think something that's actually fun would get a localization that's not the PS2 game that had all the songs replaced
>more fun
Subjective
>better
lol
Man, Taiko drums are such great percussion instruments. I really want to see a live ensemble performance one day.
MOU SUKOSHI GANBARU DON
So glad the Switch got Paypal support so I don't need to have a Jap credit card or pay extra for Jap eShop cards when it comes out
pretty much, the only thing that could survive the localization would be the songs from the videogame, namco original and classical sections
the harder and more fun songs tend to be in the last two though, so i wouldn't mind the sacrificie
desu they should've localized must songs, it would've been little effort relative to other taiko or im@s games
Neck your sorry ass.
>I'm right guiz, look here's pantsu to prove it
kill yourself
>wait this sounds famil-
>the ptsd kicks in
I'm still mad that the Vita one account limit meant I missed out on so many fucking cool songs I would've wanted to play but I just couldn't be assed going through the reset process each time.

Truly there would be no greater evil
I hope they get Weight of the World from Automata into the PS4 Taiko, but I doubt it.

Can't wait for Switch version, wonder if we'll get a controller for it
no doubt we'll get some kind of controller, but i'll be seriously blueballed if there's no way to use wii tatacons with it, since i dropped over three hundred bucks for the nice hori controller
>Taiko has better Vocaloid representation than the actual Vocaloid games
What the hell
>this fucking tetris effect
Good God everything is wavy.
what game did you start with anons?
3DS2 for me because someone in /hbg/ recommended it a lot
How was that IA Vita game anyway? It looked pretty fun.
PURU CONBO
I swear fuck algebra
How the fuck does adding letters get me numbers literally worst subject to ever learn.
i'm still pretty shit after a few years, the hardest oni song i can FC is kagerou daze
>Playing Yokai Watch: Fleshy Souls
>You can get him as a party member
don is love and life
he deserves to be in console mario kart or smash
[Spanish Guitar Starts Playing]
jesus christ this is an 18+ website just go the fuck away you stupid cunt
Letters generally represent numbers, I.E. they're placeholders for them.
Taiko V. Really glad I tried it out since I loved it to bits. I wanted another music game after getting into Project Diva and it was legitimately fun as hell.
Unless Donkey Konga counts, but I'd assume it doesn't.
Holy shit, nice.
Fuck off lep.
...
I wish more people on Sup Forums played IIDX or arcade games in general, threads like these are a rare treat.
>you pound me
nani
don't buy the English version
What kind of music do you think Don-chan likes?
>maniac
he likes all music da don
I'm 21 gramps
I know that so what am I doing just plugging in numbers that equal 16?
>diverge notes
full PS4 theme song when
How can i play this game without knoeing japanese
Is there an english version? Whats bad about it?
the menus are relatively simple and can easily be navigated without being able to read them. things like difficulty and note modifier settings have unique icons for each setting, and the song select screen has previews for each song.
the english version is kinda badly translated from what we've seen so far. also, past asian releases haven't had the same songs as the japanese versions, so you're likely to be missing out on some content.
Well the last reason is reason enough. Badly translated would still be better than moonrunes i cant comprehend in the first place, but cut contents a red flag.
it's a rhythm game, you don't need any moon knowledge to hit a drum
>5:00
Taiko no Tatsujin Switch when?
I'm more interested on the qt's in the background.
Drums are always good.

probably in a year or so, after PS4 has sold a decent amount and most or all of its DLC is out. they still acknowledge its existence, but it's kinda weird they announced it and then released PS4 first.
i have portable deluxe. Do you know if i can find custom tracks ?
maybe look into 3DS modding guides, iirc it uses the same chart format and just different audio. i don't think there's much interest in modding official taiko games since there's enough of a custom scene on PC simulators.

Where the fuck is Pac-Man and Donchan in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe? Seriously, these fuckers should have been in since MKWii. Nine and a half years ago.
That's no drum!
I love Don Chan
This is not a very friendly series unless you are in Japan and live near an arcade. I played one of those machines once and I loved it. I play it on the DS but it's obviously not the same thing.
Reminder that osu! has a taiko mode and it's great
DS is the worst of the home versions, not counting that one pico game. PS2, PSP, vita, 3DS, wii and wii u are all much better. there's also PS4 and switch ports on the horizon and PS4 is getting a new interface update before the arcade version does.
There has to be a better control scheme for the PC simulator other than f/j for center and d/k for edge.
i think nintendo is reluctant to let bamco into the console versions, but maybe it's slightly more likely now that pacman was in smash and MK8 has a bunch of non-mario characters.
I don't know about the other versions but the DS is the only system that actually feels like playing the game physically. Using a regular console controller is just as any other rhythm game.
3DS version still has touch screen controls if you're really into that. so does plus but it looks and runs like ass. you could also just buy a tatacon for one of the console versions.
i also remembered there's bluetooth tatacons for playing plus but still don't play plus because it sucks
I hope Taiko comes to Switch. And I hope it's localized.
No, not that GameCube shit where they shoved in fucking Shrek and the Jimmy Neutron themes. The original fucking songs. I don't give a fuck. I just want the songs.
I don't want a fucking Taiko Switch game with the Loud House and MLP themes. I want my shit to stay intact.
I don't own a 3DS or a Wii/WiiU. I could get the peripheral for the PS2 game but it's expensive as hell and it's just an old game with old songs.
This series is reasonably popular, is it not? Why is there no official PC version with an USB-compatible peripheral drum? It would be the perfect platform for it.
