I finally moved on from this game couple of years together with my friends, Im honestly convinced that anyone that still plays it is just trapped, too invested emotionally or financially or time wise that they just can't leave.
I met a lot of good people through this game and really hope they're able to finally move on with their lives someday just like we did, If you're like this too, remember it's never too late to be better

I tried this yesterday and uninstalled even before reaching 1st job. It's going so far back there aren't even proper quests to level in beginner islands. The entire server is pretty much in Henesys field and it's a clusterfuck with only 2 channels.

Don't be so quick to assume. MapleRoyals and MapleLegends might be private servers, but they're pretty much exactly like what you're describing; functional v62 Maplestory with no updates. The problem is people actually do end up dropping the game because old Maplestory had such little endgame content; old Maplestory was way more boring at level 120+ than 1-70.
The reality is, part of the old Maplestory experience was the patch updates. The problem is they jumped the shark with the big bang, then continued adding loads upon loads of pay2win shit.
