It wasn't like that at all, we have known the full cast of persona 5 for years, Hifumi was originally considered for the phantom thieves but they used her design for a social link instead, thats it, it never went that far, persona 5 was also planned to be about travelling around the world, that doesn't mean it was close to being implemented.

If you look closely, you'll notice it's only really half an ass. And it's inconsistent in animated cutscenes. Sometimes it's drawn deliciously round, other times it's given the half an ass anime proportions. Her ass crack should be almost twice as long, and the top half should be inflated a bit. Anyway, I think we should be able to expect Persona 6 a bit sooner if the period of time between 3 and 4 is anything to go by. The only thing n
that will interfere with the development time now is the fact that Atlus is also working on a few other games (SMT, Strange Journey Port, New IP, that 3DS game I forgot the name of) but I read something about them opening up a new studio so it sounds like they have more hands on deck now. Modeling a ton of demons in HD was the hard part, now that that's out of the way they can focus on building the game around it more. It also won't be as hard to add new demons since they only need to model a few more instead of over a hundred at once.

Best believe they're going to get their moneys worth out of all those assets they just created.
