Just what were they thinking?
Just what were they thinking?
*blocks your path*
>card is so powerful another one is made specifically to counter it
So basically Blizzard admits Jade Idol is bonkers, yet they make us wait over half a year for a solution? A nerf should've been put in place no later than a month after MSOG. Jade Idol should cost at least 2 mana and should only shuffle two more in your deck.
There's 0 point playing a competitive game since no game company is competent enough to upkeep one.
Or change it to shuffle 3 Jade Golems into your deck instead.
Anything that would prevent an infinite loop.
But that way people wouldn't have paid money for the card.
the best thing is geist does literally nothing to stop jade druid. By turn 6 druid doesn't need idols anymore.
not to mention that using 6 mana to summon a 4/6 against a druid instead of dealing with the crap he's vomiting onto the field generally speaking means you're dead next turn
hey guys what are you chatting about
>and then I said it's a 6 mana tech card. play it in every deck
>benbrodelaughing.png
What's the point of designing counters this specific when even the competitive Hearthstone doesn't have a sideboard.
Just a shitty time sinking card game made for autistic man children
>playing Hearthshit
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Sooner or later you'll realize how Blizzard do things. They don't mind something being overpowered or overused, as long as everyone gets their turn. That's how they have been balancing their games for a very long time.
>a single card destroyed the control/fatigue deck archetype
>blizzard in charge of meta balance
This card is nothing compared to what we have now. It was op only because it was the first power creep expansion after classic set. Even pirate warrior would tear huntertaker in pieces.
Warlocks and priests never get their turns. And druid was tier 1 for YEARS first in mid range combo form and now with jade and aggro decks. Druid wasn't good for only like 1 short expansion right after they nerfed the shit out of it's cards. But then they added more broken shit to replace it.
DotA 2 is the most balanced it has ever been. It's actually amazing.
Unless you're mage, in which case you stay OP for the game's entire lifespan
Handlock, Highlander and Zoo have been consistently good for every expansion up until Un'goro.
Priest only had a few times early in expansions were unrefined Priest decks were just wrecking all the other unrefined decks.
Your first statement was correct. The second was laughable and stupid.
Wasn't Dragon Priest a thing in MSoG meta?
Not surprised valve would be the only exception
I still play a random priest deck. I lose a lot, but I have fun when I pull off crazy things like getting Jaraxus with 40 health and another two Amaras in the hand. And no one expects a Lorewalker Cho anymore
Dragon Priest was auto-lose if you drew a poor hand at the start.
Reminder that for 6 mana this is the power level that jade gets
While we get a 4/6 that likely thins our deck
>valve
it's icefrog
>but icefrog works at valve
shut up
Priest is literally the second best class right now. Highlander DK Priest is really strong, and Big Priest is fucking bonkers, one of the most unfair decks in the game.
Maybe shared second because Mage is still good as well with Exodia, Secrets and Freeze. But Priest shines because Highlander Priest can just end the game against Druids with their heropower, and Big Priest is decent at dealing with the big jades with its spells and particularly the Obsidian Statues.
is exodia really that good? last xpac it was a meme deck
exodia mage is great, the meta is much slower so the chance you have of hitting your combo is much higher. Some faggits still play pirate warrior but oh well.
JUST
for most decks including this barely increases your winrate against jade druid
It's better than regular freeze against Druid because of Earthen Scales and all their other armor-niggardry, and since Druid is like 70% of the meta, it's a legit deck now.
>yeti stats on turn 2
>Make an ONLINE card game
>Release balance updates once in a bluemoon
What were they thinking?
>BGH'd an undertaker on turn 4
>wonder what the fuck I was doing with my life
>uninstall
I'll give it another shot then, got all the required cards anyways
it was fun last xpac but I just hated the virtual auto-loss against pirate
Because players don't like returning to the game and seeing their favourite cards nerfed, of course, even though they say this and then make warsong commander completely unplayable in any situation.
Players also don't like oppressive, brain dead decks dominating the meta
By the time I returned there was the whole standard and wild system and half of my cards became free dust
I think they just don't want to hand out full refund dust
>tfw I pulled Prince Valanar and Valeera DK
>wasn't planning on playing Rogue
>now having tons of fun in wild with Mill Rogue
This deck is so fucking retarded, but I love it. It's actually genuinely strong as well, somehow.
has the legendary chance been upped drastically? got 5 death knights in 15 packs
>pulled lilian voss
this effect isn't good or interesting enough to be stapled to a legendary
Yeah, that's a typical meme card. It can be funny but it's not consistent enough to be good.
You say that as if control was ever good in hearthstone in the first place.
I fucking hate priest
I think they're actually the most annoying class now
>Hard counter card only grants a 52% winrate against Jade Druid
Good shit.
>Control Warrior
To make the competitive ladder a RNG machine with Skineer's box mechanics.
You skill doesn't matter, only 2 things matter: Luck and how much you've spent.
That's the ulterior motive in any of Blizzards's designs.
>craft it because I knew it would get nerfed
>can make a good deck only with it and common shit
>gets nerfed and I lose literally nothing
Feels good
>I only just started playing last xpac
People wonder why I roll pirate warrior. Only way to counter jade bullshit at this point.
You unlocked me yet, right? Wouldn't want people to think you're a shitter that can't even beat a scripted AI with a shit deck.
The current wild format is honestly the best HS has ever been. I wouldn't touch Standard with a ten foot pole.
Glad you could MRGLGLL it uther.
>stopped playing years ago because of the aggro meta
>since old gods things have been changing to a control meta
>it's even less fun
i think what it is that bothers me is single cards winning the game. quests, old gods, jades, death knights, ect
it's like every game i'm just sat there hoping to draw my "i win" card before my opponent draws his. it's so dull
holy fuck i miss aggro
>noobs still getting crushed by such an easily countered deck
kek, rank 15 treating you well? jade druid isnt even good, you're just bad. idk how i managed to get rank 2 with it. i guess the majority of HS players are morons.
MSOG has been ruining the game since it dropped. Just move it to wild early and everything will be great. No jade, no pirates, no murlocks.
Tell us brainlets: what deck counters jade that doesn't get run over by aggro druid?
What's a nice sorta-budget deck for a beginner? I got 3280 dust to work with.
Tournament breakdown for this weekend.
What a fair spread of classes
What the fuck are those last 3? Im pretty sure theres only 6 classes in this game.
such a god damn shame druid doesn't work
I like the concept of the hunter DK, but sadly the cards to actually support it don't exist
>druid
I meant hunter, druid's so omnipresent they're even affecting my mind I guess
What Hunter needs is a way to contest and take over the early game, since they have no ways for comeback, but once they have it they won't use it to carry them into some value grind endgame. Hunter inherently wants to smorc. Give them good smorc cards, they're gonna smorc. Don't give them any, they're unplayable.
Yeah, no matter what hunter I try to make, having a great early game and just playing midrange-y always works best. Blizzard somehow doesn't fucking see this though, what they need is a 2-cost arcane shot and a 4 mana 2/1
Shit was so easy. Beat everthing but hunter and warrior with murlocs
and yet every single xpac they try to make control hunter a thing and unfortunately half-ass it and give them mediocre cards for that purpose when hunter needs and absolutely stupidly powerful control card for it to even be a thing
they could have given hunter ultimate infestation instead of druid and it still wouldn't have helped
Warlock
Rogue
Hunter
I don't know about that, the main thing keeping Hunter down and forcing it into finishing the game quickly is its lack of draw. UI is the strongest draw card in the game.
it's also a 10 mana spell, which in hunter makes it a turn 10 card
they don't really have the longevity to successfully last turn 10 without either them or the opponent dying turn 11
part of what makes UI stupid in druid is that they had the same draw issue, but also had a ramp thing going on letting them reliably play the card turn 7, and have more than enough longevity to last those turns
>turn 1 coin Wild Growth
>turn 2 Jade Blossom
>turn 3 Nourish + Wrath
>turn 4 Innervate + UI
>Hmm, well played
>Forgetting the good old days of 200 HP donothinguntilyoukillyourself Warrior
I don't have a bait image folder right now but let's just pretend I posted the one where the other fish take the bait and one of them says "fucking idiots".
Only if you make the fish a druid or a laughing ben brode
Havent played the game in a bit, what in the new xpac makes jade druid considered so OP and insane now that they didn't have before?
Pic unrelated
A card with ~20 mana worth of value they regularly play turn 7 on top of all the busted shit they got in Mean Streets
nice OC
Ultimate Infestation, Spreading Plague, Malfurion the Pestilent, plus the already overbearing power of jade + ramp.
>turn 7
You haven't been innervate + innervate + coin + infested when you only have 3 mana crystals before?
it's more that they were strong and are still strong but now have cards that cover their weaknesses (no card draw, easily rushed down) with spreading plague and
A lot of people wished it to not exist because it was printed alongside Spreading Plague
But thanks to that, Ramp and Midrange can easily greed out mana crystals while Jade doesn't need to make combos with Auctioneer
Which also helps aggro Druid as other classes cannot fully know what to mulligan with 4 vastly different Druid decks
Oh hey it seems that you have managed to rush me down to 4 HP before I made a near unbreakable board
I sure hope I draw something that lets me act like that never happened for 1 mana :^)
That's a real card? Glad I never looked back
Agroshitters blown the fuck out
And here I am slaughtering Jade Druids with my Buffadin on the regular..
this shit pisses me off
blizzard "doesn't want to nerf cards and hurt people who spend dust crafting decks" or some shit but then they offer a full dust refund for the nerfed cards anyway
all they had to do was make the reshuffled cards 1 mana "summon a jade idol" cards, that's it
no shuffle on shuffle on shuffle and reshuffling both still puts 6 in your deck, which is plenty when you have aya and jade spirit and jade blossom
fuck blizzard, i wish the balance team would get in an accident
wow only 5 legendaries
thinking about all the money they'd get, yummy yummy!
what a mess of a deck, probably works good enough at rank 15 though
>on six mana
even with 2 in my deck, it doesnt counter jade all that much, just that he doesnt have free jade + draw at the very end
This retarded card.
Before you could aggro out druid, now its literally impossible.
Shadowverse is the best card game right now
That's a weird way to spell Faeria.
This card is bull shit. The scarabs should be 1/3 at best.
Rank 5, with ease right now matey and barely played this season. Don't pretend you know what you're talking about eh.
this is blizzard balance in a nutshell fucking kek
is JO dragon even a thing now? it was absolute meme status half a year ago
