HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
So what? This only affects poorfag pirates and poorfags with no internet
If you didn't get it on consoles, that means you are getting it for a gaming PC (because nobody does gaming laptops). So then, when is your PC never connected to the internet?
What the fuck are you laughing at you retard? It's not a mobile game, It's a PC. You're always going to be connected to the internet.
Most of the biggest mobile games require you to be online anyway
it's just Sup Forums blowing things out of proportion again because they have to wait a little while before pirating the game.
a few even tried to intentionally tank the steam score by buying the game and playing for 0.1 to 0.8 hours then posting negative saying little more then "it's got Denuvo"
And stubbornfags like me that don't buy drm on principle .
I will never fucking pay for this game
The 1st comment on that website.
>always-online drm is good
Nu-Sup Forums, everyone.
Who cares? No one except internet virgins even knows what denuvo is
This wouldve been a legit reason to sperg out in like 2003.
then you should never play it
why do you think you are entitled to without doing so?
It still is a legit reason to sperg out.
People sperged out about it when Microsoft originally announced that the Xbone required an internet connection
No, it's not. Even in Africa people have smartphones now.
If you don't have internet connection in current year, you have bigger things to worry about
who uses steam that also isn't connected to the internet though
its just out of principle
its like buying shit on kikesteam
you don't fucking even own the game
you can't drag the files into your pc, save them in a disc or anywhere and claim its forever and ever yours, nope, you get banned for speaking your mind, for false positives, for abusing a bug, etc and byebye games.
this, always on is the present and the future
games are a service, if you dont like it dont buy
That's different. Physical copies still hold a major share and consoles are more portable. You can bring your console to your grandmother's house in the middle of nowhere and put it on her TV. People don't use Steam without internet connection outside autistic cherry picked examples
>the bootyblasted shantytown of the mustard race right now
WEW lads
sorry, my phone lost signal for a moment
here's your (You)
>there are people that randomly turn off their internet connection
lol why?
I live in one of the richest countries in the world, yet I often find myself in places without stable access to internet because of where I live and because of my lifestyle.
Not everyone lives in the city.
and you bring your pc to those places?
where is my 2004
>people actually defend companies doing stupid shit like this
Are you really so addicted to games that you need to play Sonic in all those places?
*goes on the internet to complain about having to use the internet*
I tend to bring a laptop or something along those lines along, yes.
It's first and foremost a matter of principle. I bought the game, and I SHOULD be able to do that with what I bought if I feel like it. There is absolutely no reason to deny someone access to a single player game just because they don't have internet.
And you will see the same fucking retards shitposting with their mobile phones on the 1000+ replies ">tfw no internet" thread.
Funny, isn't it?
It's more a reaction to all the people sperging out and making a mound out of a molehill
...
You're probably one of the fags who wants to try and fucking pirate a 20 dollar game that is actually good
This
It is if it helps their sales out and cucks pirates
its not that i like denuvo but i hate this fake outrage culture. and go to the biggest crack status subreddit and you can see its 3rd worlders typing in broken english being entitled to play everything for free and calling companies greedy for trying to protect their games.
>Sonic Mania is intended to be played offline and we're investigating reports on that.
What are we laughing about?
Well, they've lost a sale with me because of it, and I'm sure with many others too.
>cucks pirates
pirates will get a crack you fucking retard, this doesn't cuck pirates at all, this just encourages piracy, like anti-consumer moves always fucking have done
Faggot ass pirates will pirate regardless. Pirates are scum and will pirate things even if the company tries to hinder them in anyway.
Never pirated a game in my life but the online thing kind of makes me not want to buy it because my internet connection is flaky despite how many times we've called and had them come out to "fix" it
at least they said the game was intended to be played offline and that they're working on fixing it
It's ok when Gaben does it!
Good meme, got me to reply.
My Fritzbox crashes every 2-3 days on top of automatically rebooting once per day.
I don't want to lose any game progress because of shit like that.
Crack out yet?
>this, always on is the present and the future
games are a service, if you dont like it dont buy
Maybe for PCbros. Thank god i bought a 100% offline working PS4.
Why are you so mad at pirates?
You probably don't even own a gaming PC.
I bet you were excited for the initial Xbox One proposition.
This is the state of pc gaming lmaoo
I just built one two weeks ago and I'm mad at pirates for pirating even when they could buy it or when the company doesnt try to cuck them with the shit happening with Mania.
>omg xbox is terrible for this but it's okay when steam does it!
But seriously though, just go outside when the internet is down
except there are now people who, having seen customers being treated shittily by steam like this, will now pirate instead. People like to own what they buy, why do you think so many people are transitioning to GOG. you can be mad at pirates all you like, but don't fucking support shit like this
It's already the case for everyone now LMAOoooo
You ARE always online, hence you're here on Sup Forums discussing on the internet.
This is the future you have chosen in 2004.
They gained a sale from me. Anything with denuvo is an insta buy for me
Is every one just conveniently forgetting the fact that there was ZERO mention of this on the store page?
This fukin thread compared to the reception of the always online before is fukin hilarious.
Always online seems to be really the future. What is next? Everything on the cloud? KEK
I'm not supporting these business practices, but also I refuse to support pirates who make the sitiuation worse.
It might actually be worse than that.
>transitioning to gog
Literally only whiny cucks on places like Sup Forums do that
you're saying denuvo helps sales and cucks pirates, both of which are blatantly untrue
If devs were still doing demos like they did back in the day I wouldn't have to pirate. I've been burned out too many times after having paid 60 bucks for a shit game so yeah I pirate most of my games to see if I'd like it. If i don't I just uninstall them and if I do I'll get the game for full price if I think it's worth it or I wait for a sale and get it then.
Fuck the big corporations man with their "AAA" titles with no content and $100 DLC packs out the ass.
What will you do if your internet gets cut off? What will you do if you want to play in a place without internet?
>Switch version
>Got it 2 weeks ago
>Can play anywhere at anytime
Kek at mustards
>Literally only whiny cucks play DRM-free games
What did you mean by this?
damn this is worse than when rockstar marked their game as 50% off but in reality they just added a shark card to it and kept the price at 60% and called it a bundle deal.
It also made it so you couldn't refund the game because shark cards are nonrefundable.
I'm a PC guy but I'll admit, we lost this one.
...
60$* not 60%. I typed way too quickly
tell me this is just because of Gwent
It is
Something else. I'm not addicted and I have other hobbies than video games
shut up you fucking jews
I'm pretty sure that amongst the ones who are the most vocal about this issue are people who were going to pirate the game regardless, simply because they found something legitimate to shit on without getting exposed.
It makes me kinda upset that the people who worked on this game are witnessing their product getting so much backlash simply because of one stupid decision. I think the issue could have been adressed more reasonably. If this turns out to be a justification as to why Mania won't get a follow-up that would be terrible.
Gaben doesn't do this
>Public beta opened May 2017
hmmmmm
>People who are honestly surprised by Sega's business practices.
What's it like being new to games? Because you're either new or fucking retarded. Sega has killed off most of their franchises since the 90s. Their localization and ports have been shitty since two generations ago. Or do Sonic fans really do live in a bubble?
Why did people even bother waiting for the PC version?
It's the same price on the other platforms, runs at 60fps (even on Switch) and came out weeks earlier.
>PC can do portable too!
>S-S-Switch BTFO
From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.
Yeah he did WORSE than this lmao
xbox would have phoned home once a month. you chose to phone home once per day.
lol you can't make this shit up
You do notice, however, that always online extremely limits when you can play, I hope.
This effects everyone, weather you think it effects you or not
Consoles ara about as expensive as a pc nowadays, you just cant buy one.
Mod support.
And they never mattered, but treating your customers like criminals is a good way to lose business from people who were actually interested in giving you money. It always was and always will be a stupid business move.
Only faggots use steam anyway
>that means you are getting it for a gaming PC
does it?
>people being vocal about shitty business practices are thieving pirates!
fuck off retard/shill
>People complain about online DRM
>These same people use Steam
>Consoles ara about as expensive as a pc nowadays
A PS4 is like $350.
A budget card like the 1060 is $250 at least and that's just the GPU.
I play Steam games on my laptop
Can still play my Steam games in offline mode.
get a life, family
*affects
*whether
Well we are talking about samish performance, not 1060 level of performance.
get a load of this stupid nigger
>definition of affect is effect
Yea, what ever.
>so what?
It's the future of PC gaming
Someone MIGHT pirate the game, so everyone has to suffer. Glory to our ubermench!
>this is the mindset of corporate scum
>people complain about thing
>people still USE thing!!
wow really fucking clever there my man
