Thinking about quiting video games

Has anyone else here thought about quiting video games ?

I just feel guilty when I play, the only good qualities I have are helping my parents pay the bills and having a hs diploma.

I'm not 100% what I'd major in when I go to college.

Use to go to the gym and stopped due to lack of discipline.

I'm still taking driving lessons and still live with my parents.

Should I quit video games ?

Yes

No

Lack of discipline? Don't forget your purse on the way out. Never skip the gym.

Their butts are touching each other!

Nice blog post faggot

Nope, not for one second ever. My earliest memory is of playing video games. I'm going to make video games for a living (or die trying). They'll be an integral part of me for the rest of my life.

Just asking for advice.

Why quit? Play vidya to take breaks.
Find games that respect your time, allowing you to save progress when you want and come back whenever. In the meantime, figure out what the fuck you want from life and stop leaning on the targets of your habitual procrastination to justify hating something you could easily enjoy if you had even an ounce of discipline.

You used to go to the gym because you are a lazy faggot piece of shit and quitting games will no change anything.

You will find something else and spend 22/24 hours on it.

Pro tip: wake up at 5am every day - no questions, no pussing out. Go for an hour's walk, enjoy the sunrise and let that be your reward for getting to sleep early enough the previous day. Once you control your schedule, you can easily control the rest of your life.

I don't think video games is a problem. I think it's the result of perhaps something that's deeper at the back of your mind, and perhaps you've latched onto video games itself as the crux of it all.

Why do you feel guilty when you play the games? Do you think you should be doing something else, during that period? Are you thinking you should quit because of societal expectations? Do you feel as though you do not have specific qualities, as a human being, that you should at your stage of your time?

There's many things to be asked and answered, and sometimes asking 'why?' to the way we think and suggest thiings to ourselves is a way to understand what we truly feel and know about our problems.

Just remember, video games is an entertainment. If you think that it's not benefitial, then try something out.

Looks like im fapping again, OP you trickster.

Imagine having your dick wedged betweeen Samus and Widowmaker's asses at the same time.

FAGGOT

Imagine actually having sex :S

the problem in your life isnt videogames, its discipline and impulse control.

If you can't tell yourself "I shouldn't play video games today, I have to get some stuff done" you have an addictive personality, and you are just going to get addicted to something else. If you haven't already realized, it probably isn't going to be something healthy like learning a hobby, working out, or learning about nutrition. If you quit videogames without fixing the underlying problems, you are probably just gonna spend the same amount of time watching movies, television, reading, or scrolling Sup Forums.

>Do you think you should be doing something else, during that period?

Not really, the thing is that when I still had a job, (chose to quit 12 days ago) all I thought about was playing video games.

Every day after work I was just mentally exhausted to play games and hang out with friends

I keep falling asleep when playing for at least 45 mins, then wake up the next morning to go to work, the bright side is that I saved up some money.

>Are you thinking you should quit because of societal expectations?

Honestly, yes

Do you feel as though you do not have specific qualities, as a human being, that you should at your stage of your time?

Yes, most guys my age have actual careers/finished college (early 20's) and their own apartment/house.

yeah sort that shit out first OP

you don't have to quit them entirely but once you've gotten your priorities reorganized you can gradually bring them back in

But it doesn't compare to 2D sex with Widowmaker and Samus' fat asses!

read this and do nothing else until you're finished

Think long and hard about your priorities.

If you don't want to be a NEET for the rest of your life you -will- need to work. So start thinking of work that you -want- to do that you will enjoy (and can feasibly do soon).

If it involves a college education. Talk to your parents - shit costs money.

Otherwise start applying for work.

If you want work that also has a decent schedule (allows you some relaxation time for gaming) realize that not every job is like that, and such jobs might require a change in focus or an education.

Expendable cash (as well as the privacy of your own rented/owned space) is a fucking great thing to have. Set something to strive toward then start setting small goals to reach it.

>Research what you want to do. Keep in contact/network with others.
>Apply to Jobs/Education whichever route you take.
>Stick with it
Also go back to the gym. 3 times a week, start slow.

Nah, fuck that.

Im going through something similar and decided to quit porn, cigarettes, weed, alcohol and almost vidya.
So far its been great and I've even started lifting again while working a 8 hour shift and having time for vidya

Best advice I can give you is to kill yourself. Regards

>can't focus long enough to read it

Just keep living with your parents. Youre fucked if you cant decide on these choices on your own. Keep playing vidya, fgtlrd

i would absolutely be interested in reading something like that if it wasn't that i'd be constantly doubting its effectiveness and probably reduce it to a shitty self help book and stop reading it after the intro

...

Don't blame video games for being a weak minded faggot

What's your job ?

I think Mercy has loud, bombastic BRAPS, while Samus is more reserved and practiced to let her PFFFSSS quietly

you screwed up you're dopamine
do what the other faggots said and man up or just take stims

You sound underage or barely 18-19.
Grow up, video games are one of the few escapes from the shithole known as life and eventually maintaining any play time becomes hard.

Learn self control.

BRAP

There's no shame in playing games for fun, but you sound like you have other, more pressing concerns at the moment. Use them to relax but start putting some focus on these other matters.

Look at people having fun relaxing watching tv or kicking a ball around outside and say to yourself "i wonder if they think of quitting like me to be a more productive member of society"

Then snap back into reality and realize that youll be enjoying an eternity of nothing soon, your decissions mean nothing. Inb4 3edgy5me

>those butts

i'd quit videogames if I could get an ass like those in a latex bodysuit

sadly this is not the case.

>I just feel guilty when I play
You should feel guilty for being the kind of loser who posts porn for OP pics and faps to vidya.
