Couldn't find a thread. Must be because the game is shit. But we can still have a conversation about just how shitty this game is.
Absolver
>wanted to decide between absolver and destiny 2
>both are shit
Wow
I enjoyed the single player content. I wish there was more. Half the shit was explained at all, and Some of the content is locked at combat trail levels that I haven't gotten to yet. Still an okay game tho. Might buy neptunia next
I'm really not a fan of having to do online to unlock offline
I like martial arts and dudes in cool masks. Should I buy this?
On the verge of buying this but no one seem to care and I'm shit at fightans don't want to be wrecked online
? Why are people.so retarded nowadays?
You can beat the entire game is 4 hours just spamming 1 ability the whole point.of the game is online pvp that's when the games depth actually shines
I hope the servers are up today fuck
It has some really good ideas but they're poorly executed.
Weapons being your "spec" would work out much better if stance "classes" werent also a thing. Ended up with too much stat wankery and not enough combat variation.
You can alwas refunded
You need to get over your ladder anxiety user
Yeah I don't get weapons at all, they don't seem to do anything but change your move set to confuse your opponent once he has you figured out
Is this game playable on M+kb? Also how the fuck does blocking work? I can barely learn anything from watching people play.
Hold down to block, some attacks can chip your health as you block. Blocking also drains stamina and having your guard broken leads to free hits. I think you can rebind everything so yes it should be playable on m+kb
When you are locked on to some one you quickly twitch your mouse up down left or right. It works fine for me but honestly I played Das1 with mouse and keyboard and without the fanfix without any troubles. I'm like a m+K savant
You can also just hold down shift to do a 100% block that drains the shit out of you stamana
I thought it sucked too at first. But I can see how people enjoy it at high tier play.
The PvE is not the draw of the game. The entire story is basically just to train you. High level PvP is where it's fun. Learn to use you rability effectively, and spend time building and learning your deck. Fights become really interesting when people are using moves to avoid/attack at the same time, and are parrying all the time.
How's the netcode? Is it p2p, are there hosts, is there east coast servers? Anyone playing this game from the FGC (and actually play fighting gaems not just shit post in the threads) have an opinion on it?
This game is not a fighting game in the way street fighter or skull girls is a fighting game
You don't combo and you don't input commands to execute special attacks
I think they have different damage modifiers as well. The sharper the weapon is the more chip damage it does on block, the blunter it is the more stamina they lose on block. As well as being stronger than your fists inherently
Why is changing stances so clunky and slow? I can't perform combos that require me to change them during attacks because it simply won't let me switch them quick enough.
Because your deck is weak, your combos should move you around your stances and leave you where your want to be
Server down? I was playing just an hour ago.
So I'm super shitty at this game. I am having a hard time figuring out the best way to set up my deck. Are there any resources out there to help me git good?
>You don't combo
Thats literally all you fucking do in this game
M+KB is pretty fucked.
You need an American keyboard layout for it to work at all otherwise good luck reaching for the Z key on a QWERTZ layout for instance because the stance keys are all stuck to 4 specific buttons on a QWERTY layout. That's on top of how weird it is to use WASD and reach back for those two keys.
Then there's no option for a non-mouse driven camera and all of your style abilities are permanently bound to your camera while locked on (which is non-functional while that shit is going on), i.e. your mouse movement or your right joystick even if it's like Kahlt and just a single button would have done it.
Nah you can't rebind everything.
Using only the keyboard was more comfortable for DaS than adding in the mouse.
Netcode is ok. It doesn't show your opponent's connection, so you can't decline shitty matches probably the biggest problem if you want to play seriously.
It says "finishes in [arrow]" so you have to set up your deck so your next move starts from the same position as your previous one finishes in. Or you can switch positions with alternative moves. It's not rocket science, user. You probably have shit deck because you lack moves.
Fight and use your block / defensive ability to learn new moves.
The definition of a combo:
>In traditional 2D fighter terminology, a string of attacks that cannot be blocked if the first hit connects.
Can you do this in Absolver? I don't think you can.
It can seem that way from the screen shots but it's not the same at all
