I do agree that SotC really is a mediocre game at the end of the day, but it's scale and interesting graphical design always drew me in even after years later. I remember being legitimately stunned by the scale of the first colossus. There really are no games that look quite like Team Ico games.

The Last of Us, Red Dead Redemption and LA Noire are all 6/10. All of them are praised for their characters but each game has either shit or nonexistent gameplay.

nah it tries to implement new things into the series and fails miserably. the only thing the game succeeds in doing is the platforming and there isnt enough of it.

Gameplay is worse than GTA IV, horses act like motorcycles, and the worse offend is that the LeMat revolver doesn't fire the buckshell. The only good thing about the game was the characters and that it was comfy to walk in the West, but RDR being a Rockstar open world game it doesn't allow you to do anything fun like being an actual cowboy. Also third act was shorth and felt unfinished.

2 and 3 are objectively flawed as hell, but god dammit, they're both 10's to me and I wouldn't have them any other way.

I've played through the first 3 games twice trying to get the appeal. I thought 4 was pretty great though.
