>teehee my buttplug fell out!
I generally enjoy musous but All-Stars looks like complete shit
Anything with a male protagonist made after 2015
>female(male) protagonist
ftfy
doesn't look like teehee type, maybe more off a 'umu my but plug fell out desu' type
How many games that are actually worth a damn actually have female(male) protags, user?
I WANT TO CUM INSIDE PLACHTA WHILE SOPHIE WATCHES
Most of them are a hit and miss, which is why it triggers Sup Forums whenever they announce one.
Can you tell me a few good ones?
>umu
>>>/fgoalter/
How is All Stars? Is it as shitty as it looked?
the only ones i played that were enjoyable are sengoku basara
I want Plachta to ride my face while I'm cumming inside Corneria.
It's worse.
Barebones, translation quality on-par with the SAO games, and repetitive. Think of the Berserk musou but slightly worse in every field.
Jesus Christ
>and repetitive
It's a musou, you assclown.
>musou
Beat'em ups died for this?
>Go around beating up generic goons and there's a boss at the end
lol what's the difference?
What makes All Stars bad aside from translations? Is it as good as Warriors Orochi 3? I like musou games when they are done well like that one was.
My guess would be the strength of those generic goons. It is actually plausible to get hit by non boss enemies in beat em ups and even to die. In Musou games that usually doesn't happen unless you're cheesed by arrows.
Ken's Rage 1, Dynasty Warriors 8XL, Samurai Warriors 2, Hyrule Warriors on Wii U.
Those are what I would suggest to a non musou player.
>getting hit
Lmao
Ken's Rage 1 is so underrated. It was proof that the team was willing to do something new, and they got shat on for it. I like that it felt more like a classic beat em up than a musou game. The story mode was great and I liked the unique stages it had. It was cool that you could pick up weapons and use vehicles. It just needed more polishing, but it was definately the start of something great. I also loved how you had a bunch of different super moves.
I'm still made about Ken's Rage 2.
Blame the west for not giving a shit about musou. If we had our way, the sequel would've been more like 1. But the fandom here is tiny. The east is where the entire fanbase is at and while they liked the game, they just thought "hey, musou it up a little more in the sequel maybe eh?" So they did.
The only time the west has had a say in how a musou game turned out was Hyrule Warriors, because Zelda has always sold far more to the west than the east.
>worse than Band of the Hawk
I'm calling you out on either having not actually played it or being a huge Berserk fag to say that shit.
Aside from the translation I wouldn't put All Stars on the lower end of the Musou spectrum. It's no Pirate Warriors 3, Dynasty Warriors 5, or Hyrule Warriors, but it's definitely better than Band of the Hawk or Ken's Rage 2. "No content" is going to be the main thing people are going to parrot because Story Mode is the only mode, but most of the things from other Musous are simply contained there. There's free maps and special stages you can play outside of the story stages to grind for exp and items like usual. The story mode itself is also more robust than most normal Musou. It takes the Warriors Orochi approach and has 15 different endings with different paths and stages that unlock based on characters your recruit or objectives you fulfill in previous stages, so there's more replay value than usual. Along with that you get special events and scenes as well by completing certain missions and raising character's affinities towards each other.
Everything else is more or less standard musous fair. Battle pace is on the faster side, it has a style meter and assist system similar to the kizuna rush from Pirate Warriors 3. You can take up to 6 characters with you at once into battle and they have special skills you can activate or have them jump in and fight alongside you all at once. The card system adds a way to build characters and is just like merging weapons/accessories in other games. And introduces some of its own ideas that work fine. Maps design isn't bad either though some stages are lifted directly from Dynasty/Samurai Warriors.
I'd say it's above average but not great as far as Musous go. The roster will probably make or break it for you. It does have some interesting choices like Opoona and Nobunyaga, and the movesets are pretty amusing for the characters that aren't from DW/SW.
pirate warriors 3
All-Stars is kind of fun, but after playing DW8 for so long, the whole card enhancement system really threw me off because I was so used to just upgrading weapons.
That and the repetetive movesets feel far more apparent compared to older series. William for example, aside from his normal s-strings, only seems to have a kick, an upwards bash and a generic AOE slash. I hope he has more moves than this.
That and the no Free mode is a fucking bummer. I bought this game just to play as Marie in a non-fighting game and yet I have unlock her first.
You unlock more moves for characters as they level up just like any other Musou. Haven't tried William yet though so can't tell you if his moveset gets more interesting or not.
>I bought this game just to play as Marie in a non-fighting game and yet I have unlock her first
What does that have to do with Free Mode? What Musou game lets you play as every character from the start without having to unlock them in Story Mode first?
Dragon Quest heroes is great, even non-musou fags like it.
Well, recent ones like DW8XL and SW4-2 already had everyone unlocked right at the start.
I have only unlocked Naotara so far god I hate her. Not only does she have a cancerous voice, her moves propel her forward so much that you'll be having a hard time trying to lock on a single enemy officer. I wish her son Naomasa got in instead of her.
Also, William being reminded of Hanzo with Ryu and being bros in general was pretty cool.
I'm enjoying All-stars, and that's all that matters.
The fact Nobunyaga is mostly played completely serious instead of being a straight out joke character is great.
Also using Atelier, Toukiden and Ninja Gaiden enemies for peons makes it more interesting than the same Orochi army generics over and over.
Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi if it came out in the west, god fucking dammit.
Blame Capcom for once again fucking up the localization for SB3. The only things they got well was getting Dante's voice actor for Masamune. Then again, this just might be another case of Capcom wanting to intentionally prove a series isnt marketable in the west and killing it. With that last Sanada centric Basara game flopping hard in Japan, I doubt Capcom is ever gonna bother with the series again.
The crossover interactions are pretty good. Like Lu Bu being afraid of Opoona.
Musous have never been popular on Sup Forums.
Saw Mitsunari and Milliennia trying to figure out how to play poker together once in camp. Some interactions are completely out of left field and it's great.
Or William going nuts on an arcade machine.
Did someone say umu?
Fuck off. You're not even the main character in the next Extella game.
what does umu even mean? what situations is it used in? I haven't bothered with Extella and haven't heard it elsewhere.
Most major NPCs are furries, no idea why they did that. Setsuna is basically a lecherous Sima Zhao dressed like a male Krystal.
At least you get to kill furry peons by the truckload in several stages.
I actually don't like Plachta that much so it's a shame Alter is making a figure of her instead of any other alchemist.
Fucking I want to play this game solely for this character so I can know if I should dump money on her figure or not.
I only played the non-namco "musos" like fate extella and senran kagura, are the real musos by namco any better?
Senran Kagura isn't a musou.
Yeah it's weird they made the OCs furries this time. Guess they wanted to try something new. I'd bang the mom though no lie.
It's a shame the pose is pretty boring.
You play KT musuos first for the quick power fantasy of bulldozing enemies, then stay for the characters and historical shenanigans. Once you reach that stage, the game being repetetive will be the least of your worries.
Well her butt is pretty good.
You should play her actual game then which is Atelier Sophie. And Firis too.
Her costar's butt is better.
True, but a sitting down pose also makes the figure smaller, and even with it being 1/7 and Alter quality, I can't bring myself to spend that much cash on it
>The only time the west has had a say in how a musou game turned out was Hyrule Warriors
And that only amounted to "Hey don't put Tingle in the base game"
...
...
Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 is the pinnacle of the series.
What did she etc.
It's an emote. Closed eyes upper lip bite similar to whimpering.
i actually kind of like this character design, whats she from
>musou
wait isn't this the book girl from Atelier Sophie?
google musou all-stars
the new musou all-stars game have characters from may KT franchises like atelier, warriors, ninja gaiden and others.
Oh
neat
>Marie Rose
Oh sheeit
What does a normal problem eat like?
I'd fucking pay for a Mana Khemia DLC. Flay/Gunnar would be fucking perfect for a musou game.
Well hey, at least if you're a PC only fag you get to play as William
Yes.
Any good and a decent port on PC?
Haven't paid more than $20 for a video game since 2007
Umu is olev
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 is also awesome.
The One Piece games are generally considered the better musou series available on PC at the moment. But if you want to start with some mainline KT musou games, DW8XL is pretty good.
>MFW hearing Willam's voice in Japanese
Dammit because I was so used to his English voice in Nioh which was great.
I played a lot of musous and I'm a gross weeb in love with fate, how's Stella?
Uhh...William still speaks english in this one?
Everyone else talks in Jap, except him.
Nope they all speak Japanese in this even William.
No he doesnt. Have you even played the game? He still has his Irish accent.
Really? When I was watching the game trailer, he was speaking Japanese.
Why is Rio in this game? What possible reason is there for a casino dealer from a kinda-fanservice series to be in a Musou game!?
youtube.com
So it's finally happened... I learned how to understand Japanese.
those attacks look ridiculous and at the same time fun
Well shit. So William is the only character in this that speaks English? Same VA too?
I don't know. Maybe Tecmo owns her game. Wasnt Rio originally a pachinko game before beind made into an anime?
Is there any monster rancher monster in the game?
Probably with the same reason he could understand Japspeak in Nioh, but yeah he's the only one who speaks english in the game.
Kinda funny to hear him say "I never imagined I'd become a dynasty warrior"
I LOVE THE EMPEROR
I'm so glad to see people on here enjoying it too, I thought I'd be the only one. Truthfully, I loved Nioh and just wanted to play as William and as Ryu.
It's also making me want to go back and finish or start some of the games the other characters are from. That's also a nice feeling.
Its pretty, good. It does a few thing I wish they'd keep in later games.
Pretty much this, as someone who consider PW3 his favorite musou, it's pretty good.
Anyone saying this is worse that Bersek is from bizarro Earth or something, but that game was awful.
Pirate Warriors 3
For those who are playing it, who did you start with? I started Oka and the Tamaki route.
Picked Oka too because I liked the Toukiden characters and Tokitsugu is a bro. Still kind of weird they chose two Gun users from Toukiden to be in. Granted they don't play the same but it feels like they should have substituted one of them for a character that uses a different weapon.
William with Shiki route. This guy will end up a villain huh? Because I just fought Tamaki and co on one quest
The three OCs are like the different factions. If you pick Tamaki then Shiki and Setsuna are your enemies and so on. Think of it like Shu, Wei, Wu. There's 15 different endings depending on the shit you do throughout the Story too.
I just wish they werent furries. Kinda hard to take them seriously.
Tamaki and the mom are cute. Shiki and Setsuna are pretty Sonic OC tier though.
Fighting games?
>the mom
Books don't have buttholes.
Not all nu-Sup Forums are smashfags.
