Sneed.

...

It was a big budget movie that flopped. The joke was that the game was also very expensive (please deposit 40 quarters) and bad.

Give this game a whirl sometime.

Life itself

Except Dragon's Lair is amazing and I'm sure the Simpsons creators dug the game because of the quality animation

Kys

taking your coins, arcade

>you're too young to get it

No, the NES version

It was a Waterworld game cabinet, right? I guess it had something to do with how it bombed. I dunno I haven't seen the movie.

Lmao I get what you mean

youtube.com/watch?v=TFCd9ylpNgk
Formerly Dennis Hoppers'.

Waterworld was just a topical movie at the time. It's more of a joke that Milhouse had to pay 40 quarters just to take one step and fail at it, then be willing to pay 40 more quarters.

>tfw literally no cartoon will ever match golden age simpsons

FUCK AND SUCK

I genuinely like the first season of Futurama more than the majority of The Simpsons

>Liking modern Simpsons
How

>I'm sure the Simpsons creators dug the game because of the quality animation

Good one

cool man good for you[s/spoiler]

man, dragon's lair sucks. It's a literal movie game where you just react to shit you've already memorized.

poor taste

I'd gladly play My Dinner With Andre: The Videogame over any of these Telltale game or games of their ilk.

My dad likes new Simpsons. I'm not sure why though, he's also one of those people who watches NCIS and shows like that, so maybe that's got something to do with it.

Why does every long running, character driven comedy cartoon inevitable devolve into in-jokes, character memes and self referential tropes? I swear it happens every time and the show becomes garbage as a result

The characters stop being characters and start becoming tools for prestructured jokes

From the same studio that brought you: Barneyfag

Because it's gone on for literally far too long and they have absolutely zero material left. It's why most shows rely heavily on current events to try and pass as comedy. Do they care if it'll no longer be relevant within a week, or a month tops? No. They just want to do anything they can to insure that people are still watching.

The writers that made it original and good move on to other things because they don't want to get bogged down with the same old formula.

The writers that replace them who just want "Writer for [Popular/Respected Show]" on their resume do what you'd expect them to do.

Here's a super autistic breakdown if you're not too normie to sit through it

Assasin's Sneed & Creed (formerly Prince of Persia)

Simpsons has been genuinely pretty good for a few years. It's not "as good" as classic stuff, but that's going to be impossible to do.

Mission Hill was pretty good, and it was made by simpsons golden agers.

Hey he said creators not the Korean studios the show's corpse gets passed around to.

Some of the newer seasons are actually at least watchable now, with some genuinely well written episodes.

I also enjoy NCIS, but while still entirely realizing how fucking awful it is.

Literally because it's been going on far too long. It happens with literally everything long running.

It got a little funny recently, but the characters are all still hollow imitations of what they once were, etc.

I can't stand the Futurama fans that jerk off over the series acting like it was good when it was picked up by Comedy Central.
First couple seasons were awesome though.

Honestly this. It's a fucking shame too. It's also scary when you rewatch episodes as an adult and you get the snide humour a little better knowing the experiences homer and marge go through with the kids.

nu futurama is worse than zombie simpsons

I'm still fucking pissed about the series ending. Like it could have been this really sincere thoughtful ending, but no they had to screw it all up just in case they wanted to revive the series again.

Scum.

He likes all of The Simpsons though, not just the newest stuff.

>"hey guys remember all those characters we spent a decade to develop"
>"lmao jk leela and fry relationship episode"

*blocks your path*

Wait, hold it, I don't get this. Is the 15 year-old faggot implying there's something wrong with the word Sneed and that somehow invalidates the golden era of simpsons?

Ignore chuck posters.

no he just said he wants Simpsons threads to be unusable because he doesn't like it

Maybe he's just a happier person than we are.

If you can't tell me what the name of this file should be, exactly, you don't belong here.

...

It's always been about Leela and Fry though. They built the foundation on their relationship.

>tf2panicattack.tiff

>how_to_play_scout.gif

The simpsons, well old simpsons, was so good because of its random as fuck humor. Shit like this was in every episode.

Making the final episode about it though? Bad.

>tfw the generation currently growing up isn't going to know the repertoire of classic simpsons references

He's not that happy, and I don't blame him.

What happened? I only got a few episodes into Season 6 before giving up on Comedy Central Futurama.

>Leans into mic
Wrong.

that was my friend who was false flaggin and you believed it haha

Rick and Morty is even better than golden age Simpsons.

the absolute madman

How on earth would Sneed stop anything? That's the part that's confusing me the most.

Maybe so, but it still doesn't change the fact they ruined the ending just so that the opportunity is there.

i remember reading somewhere that the simpsons was deliberately crafted to be a parody of 80's pop culture

it would make sense that as the show got older, it would become less relevant and more self-referential.

Movie is actually pretty good. I honestly don't know where the meme about it being terrible came from or why it persists to this day.

>itchy & scratchy & poochie show
>basically the show making fun of tv shows being on for stupid amounts of time and studios doing desperate things to liven things out
>episode also makes fun of the simpsons as a show, as it had been going for 8 seasons at that point, with mentions of character not being to have the same impact they once had and just introducing new concepts ultimately undermines what makes a show like the simpsons good in the first place
>episode first aired in 1997
>simpsons is unironically still going 20 years later

I just noticed moe jumps back to the desk to pick the shotgun instead of pulling it from his back

cause people don't talk about the Simpsons, they just meme. it's like if you actually want to talk about The Dark Knight Rises but there was nothing but Baneposting in every thread. gets drowned out.

Leela and Fry grow old together, Professor comes back and tells them he's created a time machine where they all step into it to go back in time.
It's seriously the most shameless attempt to make a finale that can make the show easily rebootable.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meanwhile_(Futurama)

spoilers obviously.

In terms of anything on TV relating to cartoons? Sure, but not in the long run.

I have a confession to make
I made that post pretending to be the sneed spammer a few weeks ago with the purpose of seeing how gullible you idiots can be. I've never actually made a sneed post in my life. Didn't expected some autist to screencap it with a bunch of unrelated posts and start spamming it around though, that was just the icing on the cake. LOL

I will say that it was pretty cool how when they aired it where I live, the first episode played without credits or a break in between.

>Futurama ended in 2013
it feels longer ago, huh

I think the joke was that at the time, it was the most expensive movie ever made and it only did so-so at the box office.

>the hand is black in the bottom panel

This.
I recommend it. I feel like it gets a pretty ridiculous amount of hate, similar to how the Spawn movie is also universally hated. They're not great by any means but they're certainly not bad. They have a charm to them and some interesting ideas, although they're obviously pretty flawed in a lot of ways. If you want just plain fucking bad then you've got shit like The Room or pretty much anything by Uwe Boll. Waterworld isn't bad, it's just average. It was overhyped and oversold though, which no doubt helped it's long lasting negative attention.

Bane posting is annoying because it's taking a really bad and awkward part of a bad movie and splitting it up over several posts in an unfunny manner. How does tha--oooooooh.

>so good because of its random as fuck humor
how did you even get here

I just watch the original 1-10 seasons commentary. The were exported to korea for animation back then also. A lot of continuity mistakes made thier way into the show, because there was simply no time to send the errors back to korea to get reanimated every week.

The finale wasn't so bad on it's own, but god damn did the show end at a really bad time when all it was known for at the point was "omg the feels Seymour;_;" by the public

so simpsons filename thread?

I'm not even surprised anymore.

...

What's the deal with Korea anyways? Is it sweat shop workers or something? Why can't we animate our own stuff.

Actually the film was a financial success

That Martian Queen was pretty hot

because it ended and then came back

It has already been surpassed.

It was an over-budgeted flop of a movie.
40 quarters for 1 step forward.

I guess you can also take it as a jab at old arcade games being ridiculously hard to make you lose and spend money on continues

Yeah we get it epic shitposter, we want to actually talk about stuff. Go be a retard somewhere else.

youtube.com/watch?v=06OzHwkV3bA

This will always be the final episode for me.

It funny because his clone spend time with that dog and he wasn't lonely anymore.

It was a huge financial flop. This propagated the myth that it was a bad movie.

How you feel when you get fed up with sjw bullshit as a formerly quasi-reasonable man.
>I'ma gonna hit ya
>And youre gonna fallll

Pretty autistic, also every fucking video I watch now has a huge patreon list at the end. When will the patreon meme end?

no that's the official ending of the show.

>When will the patreon meme end
When it stops being easy money from morons. So never.
