Destiny 1 didn't launch with much, and I assume they mean story and side content. Destiny 1 had no side missions, and the story was really short.
You could tell they were overhyping Destiny 2. The moment the reveal only mentioned there being one/"the" raid I knew it would be shit. How the fuck do you launch with 1 raid? 3 years of Destiny 1 and there is 4 total fucking raids and two of them are COMPLETE trash.

5 strikes is also too little, people are expected to wait 3 months for 1 more strike and 1 more raid for 15 dollars.

The game is fun, stay mad poorfags.

Im not on playstation so expansions are out of the question for now.
But in the first Destiny I did put about 200 hours before any expansions. Plus, all my friends are getting it, so that is a plus.

Pretty sure Destiny 1 has a ton of unfixable things thanks to the PS3/360. I imagine the limitations of the patrol zones, the way moving from area to area works and the matchmaking behind it, is all tied to the 360/PS3. That and they get the marketing part of the 2.

Hey guy, I played Destiny for an obscene amount of time (had about a month between jobs and nothing to do). That shit isn't fun. You grind hoping for the fun. You do boring shit with your friends hoping for the fun. You beat raids then get disappointed by the retard-tier drops, hoping for the fun. Then seek the fun elsewhere because there's nothing there. It's a game that's horrifically grindy with the promise that you might have fun if you get X gun, or get to X level to beat X raid X amount of times. But none of it leads anywhere other than better ways to grind for the same boring shit as before. ONE GODDAMN RAID AGAIN.

This game would've been so fucking huge if it wasn't done by the greedy fucks of Activision. A PVE-oriented online shooter made by Bungie is a guaranteed hit. But everything just screams anti-consumer bend over faggot bullshit. Buy the game? Goes obsolete after two months in which you have to keep up with the DLC (that should've been content released with the game). So yearly you're spending $60 outside of the base game just to keep up with content. And it's not like there is a lot of content either. It's so greedy and disgusting in so many ways. Even more so when the mechanics would've made a truly good game.

They learned nothing from D1. Only how to scam people harder.

Because Destiny 1 players are stupid enough to buy it, and PC users will try it on the same premise as Destiny 1 sold. "Fun with your friends" they said. It'll be fun they said.

Not him But how is this a fact? And for that matter, there's being able to explore more and there there's interactivity. If there's barely anything to do but shoot guys or collect the random space material or do the patrol things (which are either go here/shoot some specific guys) than it's not really an improvement. It's lame ass filler that goads people into thinking the world is bigger than it really is.

The beta hints at basically me doing the same shit I did when I had to retread the cosmodrome back in D1 over and over. Am I missing something?

The beta was astonishingly bad. I thought maybe the multi-player would have a good map and some fun Halo ish gameplay but the map was an actual circle with three control points... Yep

I bought Destiny. I played it for a very long time and enjoyed it for about 24h exactly of gameplay. Than I got bored. And before I was ever bored, I was disappointed and how limited the locations i went to were, I was disappointed by the story and character. The highest point was first when I played the first raid with some friends and remembered the roller coaster of emotions we felt from start to end (the fact that we beat it was almost a miracle considering how stupid my friends who don't usually play these types of MMO RPG).

I only came back to the game with taken King and aside from being impressed by Nathan Filions performance and taking a bit more of an active part in the story, it ended up like before, ineventual got bored and left. Didn't even care for that thing with the guy and the red virus thing, I really don't know what that was but it didn't interest me as much as Taken king did.

Overall, to end my long winded post, I'm dissapointed by this game. It felt like it was meant to be more but it never really got there. And slowing getting content that made the content more complete rather than adding to an already complete experience made me feel cheap, like I've been had. I'm not putting myself through that again with destiny 2. That's simply how it is for me.
