I've been trying to get into Elite Dangerous since someone said its like a Trucking Simulator in Space. Pretty good so far

it's pretty good with a wheel and listening to some music on the radio makes it chill for me

can't do more than one delivery tho, max 1 hour of play time per session

It used to be my job and I enjoyed playing the game high as fuck listening to that EVROPA 2 radio station.
I quit my job two years ago and haven't touched the game since then, I pirated the American version but I didn't find it enjoyable at all.

I don't want to be "that guy" who talks shit because he knows how it really is, but being a real trucker is boring as fick most of the time, even with a radio.
I had to drive for long ass times, sleep in the back of the cabin (which was nowhere near a bed in matter of comfiness) and then take the road again.

I feel I can understand the logic of being able to enjoy a work-simulator after coming home from work. Some people enjoy their job, but the stress of failure/accidents/mistakes makes it hard to enjoy while actually working

Most likely. There is a reason "Made in Germany" stands for quality and precision. Maybe its the satisfaction that you get at the end of the day when you know you actually accomplished something.

Maybe making a living out of being a trucker is shit, but i love driving both irl and in games.

Stop listening to podcasts that are bad. There are hundreds of podcasts and plenty of them are educational and I'm sure you can find a bunch related to a topic you are interested in.

Find decent podcasts, or lectures. I mostly listen to academic ones, or ones where experts talk about subjects I'm interested in but not actually well educated about. You can learn a lot from them.

There's no salmon raising sims yet, is there? Best job I ever done/do, and the pay is as good as many higher education jobs while requiring none. And you work only 3 weeks a month

To be fair, EuroTruck is designed with this sort of thing in mind. You are driving a truck, unless you love the sound of other cars around you (and occasional heavy rain) I like it every now and then, you will turn on the radio/player to listen to something, be it music, radio shows, sound-only porn, or podcasts.
