T-rex likely shed any feathers it had when it reached adulthood. The previous evidence for feathered therapods came from a different species out of China.

So have they actually optimized it with release or does it still run at a silky smooth 20fps on medium settings.

It's hard for me to decide between dimetrodon (which apparently isn't a dinosaur but whatever it counts), plesiosaurus, and spinosaurus.

Honorable mention goes to stegosaurus, t-rex, sarcosuchus, and kaprosuchus. Basically anything that's a big lizard plus a few others.

Well, I'm disappointed but I can't say I'm surprised I guess. It's a shame; ARK would be way more enjoyable if it didn't run so shitty.

I dunno what happened, but Ark actually started running better on my PC here a couple months ago. Not sure what happened.

I will admit that there are occasional hiccups, but that might be more my computer than the game itself, but I dunno.

yeah, for me that game was utterly ruined by the fact that it was designed and ballenced around being yet another a PvP Survival crafting game
I don't know why people love that fucking genre soo much, there is nothing to do other than fuck over other players
Same Case with that Conan Exiles game, I was interested as hell in that until I discovered it was a PvP crafting survival game

It had weird hair-like fibres that were sort of like proto-feathers which covered a fair chunk of their body but not all of it. So T-Rex actually looked like a scrotum this whole.

The worst part is it could be a very good game if it wasn't focused on being survival PvP, especially since nearly every other dinosaur game is garbage.

The Isle's getting big changes soon to give the Dinos more unique playstyles while also making it less grindy.

I'm on a toaster and I started playing very recently again:
I think I started playing on the 20th of august this year and hadn't played since the 22th of august 2016 and it seemed like the performance was a little better, but I can't really know for sure.
Both then and now I play on minimum settings though.

If you have a good computer you can get good performance with higher settings. I've played a bit on my brothers computer which is a lot better and it runs better on his on high settings than on mine on low.

I think that genre could be fun, but the problem is that if it takes an hour to kick down a sand castle, it takes ten hours to build it.
Wildcard solution to this seems to be to make everything take forever and just higher and higher tier.

I haven't even bothered with pvp servers, but I'm having a great time with a few friends on a private server.

As for that as a pvp genre I kinda enjoyed it in modded minecraft, helps a lot that it's easy to actually build and reinforce your stuff in minecraft and a top faction couldn't just move in a dino and eat through my stone town quickly while I was offline.

I'm usually a hipster faggot when it comes to picking something I like but with T.Rex you just can't go wrong. Over-represented in media yes but it's still the king. That being said Carnotaur is pretty cool too with its distinctive head shape and horns and the more recently discovered Tyrannosaurus ancestor Lythronax has a cool name.

Its like 90% or more dinosaurs.

I've always liked the "weirder" dinosaurs, the ones with odd features or body shapes. One of my favorites is Amargasaurus, with the two sails along its neck. I was really glad they made a Pokemon based on it, though being Rock/Ice was a retarded idea.
