So which is the best RPG of this decade and why is it Divinity Original Sin?
CRPG renaissance
Divinity: Original Sin of course, because it's actually good and not crap.
I'm not sure how I feel about 2 yet.
I played the fuck out of it in early access and the final release until I got to the forest area. It was a blast but I played too long sessions and burned out. Now I'm replaying it again and trying to finish it before the sequel's out.
What was wrong with the new Torment?
Why isn't wasteland at least on the same level as poe? I thought it was pretty well done
Can I play some sort of monster race in any of these
>PoE
>Wasteland 2
>meh tier
kill yourself
I'd put it in okay-tier, but the game really would've benefited from aimed shots/hits à la Fallout
You are alright, they should be in shit tier with tyranny
base poe is a piece of garbage
Whats UnderRail like?
>Legend of Shitlock is great, but AOD is not
Very combat focused and mechanics driven, stats and builds are important as bad builds can hit strong difficulty spikes.
Cool stealth system for an isometric game aswell, between 80-100 hours long.
its a total opposite of original Fallouts.
it has nice fighting mechanics, but everything else sucks or is mediocre at best - art direction, story, world building etc.. for me it was the best 6/10 i have ever played so far.
Fuck, I want to play Underrail again, I had such a good time even in the deep caverns
Why can't AAA devs make decent RPGs anymore?
They don't sell enough for the AAA budget, simple as that. The large masses just don't appreciate good games.
Expeditions is easily the best new crpg serious hands down
Hipster shit cobbled together by some autist.
Ugly as sin, no story to speak of, highly restricted and very specific gameplay mechanics and progression.
People pretend to like it just to be contrarian.
That's pathetic lol.
Divinity: Original Sin's writing is trash. Wasn't able to finish it.
I am disgusted that PoE is above a lot of those games.
Should be above more. It's a very good game.
Fantastic game. Really good gameplay and character building, main focus is on combat and exploration.
>doesn't understand AoD
Opinion discarded
I don't like playing visual novels
discuss
'Best' is subjective as hell but D:OS at least gets points for trying to break away from the nostalgiafagging that surrounds the genre. A part of the reason the CRPG genre is on life support isn't necessarily that the modern audience isn't interested in it but rather that the developers insist on copying core gameplay principles that became outdated 20 years ago
