Absolver pro/cons:
Seems to have taken some inspiration from Dark Souls
Fight mechanics look like they have a bit of depth

I really don't feel like a newcomer dueling game like Absolver has long lifespan.
Raid might as well be Payday 2 with a WW2 asethetic, but Overkill supports their games for ages with jewish magic.
Raid looks like shit, feels like shit, and is nothing short of a Payday 2 reskin.
I didn't played Absolver so can't judge, but since i hated For Honor i will also hate this one.

Actually it's not. It's way worst than that. It's Payday2 without all the stuff that makes Payday2 enjoyable like some well designed levels, decent music, great sound design, gun porn, good sensations and customization, top notch animations, enemies that are clearly identifiable, graphics that aren't smeared with DoF and usable UI as well as some levels with legit stealth challenges. Even the AI feels better in PD2 compared to Raid.
RAID feels like a phone app, not even kidding.
Anyway RAID isn't made by Overkill, but by Lion Game which made the shitty Casino and Bomb heists for PD2.
If it flops, which it will, they aren't going to support it dah..
Be warned, pve content is very short, less than 8 hours, it's really a pvp game first.

The only (singular) good thing about Raid is they have Hitler results screens.
Everything else is dog shit, its payday 1 with all the garbage from 2 everyone hates.

This. At least with Absolver there won't be $100+ of DLC to go with it. You'll quickly get left behind if you don't buy all the extra OP shit and new missions that'll come out for Raid
There wont be any dlc for raid. no one wants to pay $45 for a ps2 game
Payday still has a decent following despite all the bullshit, I'm sure they'll be able to trick some of their fans to buy this crap as well

The closed beta is free to anyone who owns Payday 2 and then you can get a "loyalty" discount on the game as well, but why would they be giving it away?

I don't mind short PVE content, as long as I can actually progress my own skill through pvp.

I meant to say Payday 2. A lot of people got it for cheap and it the base game was free for everyone to pick right before the release of the Ultimate version. You were saying Payday 2 still has a decent following which might translate to RAID, but I don't even think the people still regularly playing Payday 2 would spend 30 bucks on it.
It is high. However it can get pretty tedious since there is just simple matchmaking that matches you with random player. No ranking system or anything to make you feel like you have progressed.
