Emulation isn't piracy lol!

>emulation isn't piracy lol!
You share board with this scum

>software to emulate doesn't pirate anything
>using a BIOS off a machine you own is legal
>using ROMS of games you own is legal

2/10, low effort

As Jewish and awful as devs are these days, I don't give a fuck what people do and don't pirate UNLESS it's a good game at a fair price without price tricks or toys-to-life (e.g. Sonic Mania).

Sega are a bunch of Jews with their fucking DRM

it is and I keep pirating/emulating. stay mad

Does it matter? I'm gonna keep doing it anyway.

Got a single fact to back that up?

no one says that
also who cares

thanks you've made me think of another great filter word OP

I don't play on PC, for many reasons, so I thankfully don't have to deal with that.

>Emulate mgs1
>Loved it and buy every game in the series including mgs1 because I liked it so much
Emulation causes more good than bad, big deal I emulated a game that costs $10 on the Playstation store. I gave them way more money because I stole it initially.

>this board actively encourages piracy
What point are you trying to make here with emulation?

You got any sources that say piracy affects sales which will inevitably become a topic in a discussion such as this?

Emulation isn't piracy
The Xbone and WiiU can emulate previous gen consoles
Obtaining a game illegally is piracy

This. If I didn't had spent my childhood emulating SNES and GBC games, I would have no interest in gaming today.

Emulation is also the only protection many games have from being forgotten and lost forever, I find it amazing that there is still fan translations for older games still releasing from time to time. I doubt series like Earthbound would be as popular they are today withour it, and I would probably never have the opportunity to play games I love like Seiken Densetsu 3 and Bahamut Lagoon.

I'll take that as a no.

>Xenoblade chronicles
>HD texture pack
>res up to 5k
>viewdistance hack
>gecko code for 60fps

Emulating isn't piracy, unless you obtain the software illegaly. Consoles need emulation for virtual console, for example.

Shut up dumb corporate dicksucker.

Anything past a decade old is legal to pirate

...

hue hue? uma

I would have no interest in gaming today.
no wonder you suck

hello commies

Hi, how are you?

Lol idc I get to play games anyways

>commie for pointing out the law

not pore or hungry and i have a job you?

Saying emulation made me buy games makes me a commie now?

Not pore? Dear God user, how do you even sweat? It must be really uncomfortable having to pant like a dog just to cool off.

?

>emulation is almost always 2 gens+ behind
if anything is hurting sales its home-brewing and and PC piracy

there was PSX emulation before the PS" was out

ringo porn not existing is a far worse crime

hello comrade, wanna pirate some vodka?

Okay you shitty anti-pirates. Tell me. 15 years ago i bought a game on some console. I want to play it, but console is no more. Why can't i emulate it right now? I've paid for it!

>what is bleem/CVGS
>what is ultrahle
>what is cemu
I love emulation but check your facts first

*PS2 was out

I want to fuck that girl

You can. You have my permission.

Oh wow, thank you, kind sir

>nintendofag mad that no one wants to buy the same nintendo roms over and over and over on their latest outdated plastic console for the 4th time
simple solution: put them on a pc store

>moralfags
You share board with this scum

A this point I can't really differenciate if these are bait threads or these idiots are for real.

>buy Nintendo VC game
>it's piracy
>buy PS1/PS2 classics
>it's piracy
Are you retarded, my dude?

There's a simple solution to this: stop doing console-exclusives.

Also I'm going to buy a copy of BotW now that the emulation seems to be pretty flawless.

It is piracy. And?

you know you've lost immediately when you argue semantics
pathetic

>expecting me to pay again for games i already own for 20 years.

shalom, shekel silberstein.

Not enough people have been called out for newfag shit behaviour and instead just assumed to be baiting, in which they get away with it.
Back when I made my first post my asshole got torn open and I knew I had some more lurking to do.
Whatever happened to the 'lurk for 2 years before posting' rule anyway?

>lurk before posting
only Sup Forums does this nowadays

As if.

That sounds great. Haven't played it yet, but this is how I plan to.

I don't think cemu is even playable for most games yet. If anything is hurting 3DS sales it's freeshop and cias, but the handheld's been out for fucking years now.

cemu is pretty much just a botw-emulator.

>implying piracy is bad thing

Give me ONE (1) reason why piracy is bad.
Go on, I can wait.

Honestly, unless you live somewhere with a super strict IP who tells on you in a heartbeat or you can get caught, pirate away. I don't care, I'm a consumer too.

Just admit you're being a little thieving bitch with no job and we'll be square. God I hate neckbeards who try to act like game companies are REQUIRED to give them free entertainment and not that actual money and work went into these things. If you want goods or services, you have to pay for them. Everyone seems to be okay with this system except neckbeards. Just look at the fucking reaction Samus Returns is getting, faggots are literally looking for any little reason they can to pirate it because they never wanted to pay in the first place.

>lol I'm not stealing I'm just making a copy ;)
>Despite multiple, countless times with factual proof piracy has caused companies to bleed money, cancel multiplats, or have to shit out DLC to break even

>Just admit you're being a little thieving bitch with no job and we'll be square.
But that's where you're wrong.
I'm a thieving bitch who has a job, but also the common sense to not waste money on something that can be obtained for free with no repercussions.
No, I don't care if the companies bleed money or die or whatever. I get to play video games for free, and if video games die because of it - so be it. Plenty of other media out there to kill.

that's your fault for buying a game for a broken console dumbass

no get a job!

Basically why pay for something you can get for free, Why do people have a problem w/ this? He clearly doesn't give a fuck if a Corporation loses profit if he is saving his own cash, It's called taking advantage something you moralfags should learn to accept. Not saying people who pay for goods are being keked I pay for games too but if someone wants to steal shit that isn't even yours who gives a fuck.

commie

I've always pirated games and also bought this.

You paid for a game that's free that also insures only the publisher sees money. The author hasn't seen a cent from Nicalis taking the game and cockwashing it.

Wait, doesn't pixel get paid?

>wherever I am I must suck corporate cock

under US law being a pirate is less criminal than being a commie
Commies don't even have basic human rights
I'm not even sure they're considered human

I don't remember the exact details, but Nicalis screwed Pixel over with the publishing of the game, and now all the money from every version of CS that you can buy (+, 3DS, Wiiware, Switch) goes to Nicalis, nothing for Pixel.

If you wanted to suport him, you should have bought Kero Blaster.

I share a board with loliposters.

Fortunately I couldn't give a fuck what some random faggot on Sup Forums thinks.

Did they change the illogical choices you must make to get the good ending?

Emulators are perfectly legal so long as they don't steal code. This was established in Sony vs Connectix.

Distributing ROMs is 100% illegal though.

>commie
>not capitalist for taking advange of every resource you can that benefits you
I'd offer you some vodka but you can't afford it.

try and stop me fucker

Fuck off. Literally every boards doesn't give a shit, but Sup Forums no, we need to suck dicks because muh morality.

*pirates every single non-multiplayer vidya*
*saves $money$*
psh, nothing *shakes hands* personel

You pirate multiplayer as well, just join that discord.

The moral reasoning against piracy is that you're not paying the creator for their work, which in the case of video games would be the dev team/company.

Emulating games that are no longer available for sale, either online or in retail stores, meaning that the only way to play them is buying them second-hand, is fine because the original devs/creators would no longer be receiving money from your purchase.

So really it depends on the age of the game; if it's no longer for sale in a way that would benefit the devs, it's okay to emulate/pirate.

>under US law being a pirate is less criminal than being a commie
>Commies don't even have basic human rights
>I'm not even sure they're considered human
Incorrect. It's totally legal to be a commie under US law, just like it's legal to be a nazi or a monarchist.

hello jew
