This game is overrated as hell

This game is overrated as hell

...

I would unironically put Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess over Botw. That's how bad botw is. My standards have never been lower.

unironically, it's the typical dead open world zero content garbage

>side quests
garbage
>the open world
90% of it is useless
>shrines/seeds/filler content
the cheapest and most uncreative shit I've ever seen
>ost
literally broken

shallow garbage

>This pic again

like clockwork

I'd rather slit my wrists than play this FUCKING game

honestly, i'd rather be railroaded along through a bunch of themed hallways

And the cycle continues.

Kill yourselves, you tasteless faggots.

Im having a lot of fun with it.
The world is engaging.

Just like the thread itself.

Well it's not wrong.

Imagine the smell of Zelda's 100 year old unwashed ass

But we still haven't gotten to the

LOW

I think the world was amazing for the first few hours but later on it became very repetitive. In the end I can say, there was a lot I liked about this game and there was also some shit I didn't like, but they actually changed the formula of the series in a good way and I'm excited to see how future Zelda titles will build upon this new foundation

They won't. Nintendo's going bankrupt

console gamers are easily impressed as they aree ignorant of gaming as a whole, news at 11

TP got officially one-upped to the good Zelda games category because of Skyward Sword though

It's hard not to be overrated when you're a 11/10

This. At least those two games are Zelda games and include things like: dungeons, story telling, new gadgets, etc.

Every game is overrated as hell. There is no journalistic integrity. Just remind yourself you aren't playing a perfect game and you'll have more fun with it.

Find yourself, you poor, wretched, brain washed salve to the Nintendo corporation.

The reason most is here find it over rated is we tend to be the more serious gamers. Review sites target casuals, with a game like BOTW it is easy for them to generate a lot of hype by saying it's a 10/10 and most casuals will agree because they don't have a lot to compare it with. Basically anything you try to claim is next to perfect here is going to result in a lot of people saying 'no, it fucking isn't'. It is a good game, that doesn't mean you have to buy into a bunch of cash grab media whores who want clicks on their reviews by claiming it's the greatest thing ever.

Really makes you think.

Gamespot literally kino.

Today I will remind them

fucking JEWZ amirite fellow user XD

both of these shite games are reddit-tier.

IQ

t. sonybro

That word

I hope you're saying that ironically

No shit, its a Zelda game. Skyward Sword fot perfect scores and it sucked.

BOTW has neat ideas and gimmciks, but no content, shit combat, and really questionable design choices. I got tired of holding forward and just beat the game as fast as I could after 60 or so shrines because of how tedious and reward free the game was.

Truly not only a disappointment, but not even close to the best game I played this year, Yakuza 0.

lmao nigga they ownin theme parks n shit they ain't goin anywhere anytime soon

Literally what does this prove.
If I screencapped your post and put a picture of reddit over it, will you go "oh damn guess I'm reddit now."?
Never mind, I don't need to do that, it's already apparent.

FPBP

Michael Jackson owned a theme park as well.

The only good thing to come out of this game was the porn.

well i don't suppose all the employees will drop dead tomorrow now will they?

>This game is overrated as hell
Welcome to every Nintendo game ever made.

someone's mad

I love windwaker.
I like twilight princess.
I hate skyward sword.

I like botw.
The exploration is top notch.
The dungeons are too simple.
The shrines are cheeseable and repetitive.
It's definitely overrated, but it's good. Not great.

I agree and disagree. I pretty much liked the game for what it is - flaws and all. I think there were some really core elements of Zelda that got forgotten. There was no excitement of finding a new item in a big chest, there was no figuring out how to use that new item on the boss. Theres almost zero underground area which makes the world feel really shallow. Prior games had those little holes you would fall in and find a heart container or a big rupee - not much but they made the world feel a little more interactive. The voice actors really did nothing for me. It felt forced. They're performances were weak at best and they got a little annoying on the divine beast segments. The usual text only dialogue would've sufficed, saved money and no one would have complained. It was a gross misuse of resources. Breakable weapons didn't feel like they belong in the franchise. When you got the kokiri sword in oot, you knew it was gonna help you through many adventures. When you got the shield from your grandma before leaving outset, you got a sense it was special and would protect for a long journey. When you pick something up in botw you want to either throw it at the first person you see or gently use it over the course of an hour or so depending on the quality of the weapon. That whole system just didn't feel like Zelda. 20 minute dungeons with very little combat and some giant mech control puzzles didn't feel like Zelda. Climbing for 5 or 10 minutes just to glide somewhere else didn't feel like Zelda. The food system is interesting for the first few hours but quickly becomes a boring and exploitable health regen chore. Same with the combat once you figure out the flurry rush. I think the game would've been better for me as a new IP. I know the Zelda franchise was in need of something fresh, but slapping the empty open world meme on it was not the right choice in my opinion.

not really, games like ff7 are overrated as hell.

Michael Jackson died because he named the jew

I've had enough of the whole open world survival kind of thing to be frank, hopefully they go back to the gameplay Zelda was more known for.

I enjoyed it but I feel like the Ganon boss fight was a let down, it should have included atleast one more form between the first and last form.
Also the last form was shit and could have used more urgency.

...

N I G G E R

I agree actually. It's a 9/10, not a 10/10

Correct. I'd rather watch you slit your own wrists than play this FUCKING game.

8.5/10 but hey, shit's subjective so it's not like I'm going to punch anyone who claims differently.
also punching over TCP/IP still isn't implemented

Alright now before I debate, I should let you know that I think FF7 is overrated for the FRANCHISE.

But no.
FF7 was a game that kept the series tradition up to that point and brought it to the next generation. The story was good for the time, the music was great for the time (many of the tracks being universally recognizable) and the gameplay was a relative step up from it's predecessor. It's length was a step up. In many ways this game was a move in the right direction.

Contrast this with breath of the wild
Weaker dungeons
Weakest music in the series
Weapons are homogenized into categories that feel exactly the same
Story is extremely weak
"calamity ganon"? Are you fucking kidding me
Most long term fans of the series are disappointed with the final boss fight at a BASELINE to say nothing else of this game.

And yet despite that this is one of the highest rated Zelda's. And you don't think that's being "overrated"?

I mean, are there even 10/10 games at all?

and he died!

If you're going to use the '10/10 is impossible because perfection doesn't exist' scale then it's 8/10 at best.
Using 'normal' scale, not the standard Sup Forums '

Of course, those are the games that are made with FUN, and not money and hollywood careers in mind

What if Zelda was a girl (male)?

>pii u version
There's your problem

fpbp

Only problem with Wii U version is that it was intentionally crippled so it doesn't offer better functionality than Switch version.

>if you payed $300 extra for it, you'd enjoy it more
I guess that

Really?
I have yet to see people praising the game irl. Most of my friends nitpicked on the empty world and the weak soundtrack.
All the praise I've seen comes from reviewers and shitposters on Sup Forums

means that mustards running this in CEMU on their $2000 RIGs must have the ULTIMATE experience.

At least he doesn't have to worry about the frame rate fucking up enemy time a lynel with a fire weapon gets too close to the camera

Having played through this game almost 100%, it is largely overrated. It loses its novelty very fast. It has pretty good gameplay, but once you find everything and everything starts repeating itself, it loses its novelty. The story is shit, save for the electric camel part and the giant tall sexy sand woman. The dragon sidequest stuff is nice too.

Should the Zelda series get its own board?

fpbp

I lost all motivation to finish this game after the third dungeon. Never had that happen with any 3d Zelda before. The game is so boring. Horrible framerate, wandering around is fucking boring, dungeons suck ,music sucks. It's a bad experience.

>ITT: "Yeah, this game is shit! After playing for 120h and doing everything it starts to get repetitive."

>BotW is GOTY!
>Still has the same LoZ combat mechanics (aka mash attack button), now with a few gimmicks

>when i can't argue for shit i always use retarded hyperbole and pretend to have a point

No, that's overkill.
It could just share one with similar audience like /mlp/.

>nitpicked
Is it really nitpicking?
Not everyone considers 900 korok seeds top be an adequate map filler.

Fucking THIS. You won't see anyone praising this game outside of message boards and reviews. The majority of the players had a few complaints about the game easy. Complaints that these shills consider to be nitpicks.

What these shills don't understand is that no one is saying the game is bad, just that it's not as good as the praise it got. The games great but it's overrated as hell.

I understand reviews since "hurr journalists are wrong 100% of the time" meme, but message boards? What does that mean, what creature inhabits them to be considered exceptional

Lol idk user. I just didn't see that much praise of normie sites and IRL just like that other user said. The mass thought the game was great but could've been better. If the sequel is like BOTW, I'm sure Nintendo will tweak everything to make the true masterpiece. Just like they did with Mario galaxy 1 and 2.

>It's overrated as hell because it's not on playstation.

I had the same reaction I had with SS, I dropped SS in the desert dungeon, I dropped BoTW on Kakariko Village

Still fun

I believe it. Gave up on Zelda after TP.

One and done
