It's the only one we like.

Wrong.

WEIGH-HAY AND UP SHE RISES

Got that one for free with a 760 and didn't bother wasting my hard drive space

Yeah, still the best one.

It's like after the first, amazing albeit ever so slightly repetitive game, they were like "let's add some side stuff to do to liven it up" and then it was just perfect

and then for the next game they were like "OH GOD OH GOD IT WORKED LET'S ADD MORE SIDE STUFF AND COLLECTIBLES AND MINI GAMES AND GIMMICKS"

and then they were like "OH GOD OH GOD IT WORKED LET'S ADD MORE SIDE STUFF AND COLLECTIBLES AND MINI GAMES AND GIMMICKS"

and then they went "OH GOD OH GOD IT WORKED LET'S ADD MORE SIDE STUFF AND COLLECTIBLES AND MINI GAMES AND GIMMICKS"

And then they were like "oh okay that no longer works but it's really hard to break the habit now"

2, Brotherhood, Revelations and Black Flag were good.

played it for five minutes, felt like a low budget disney game, never touched or thought about it ever again.

I really like II, III and IV

That's on sale for fifteen doll hairs and I liked Sly3's pirate game play so would this be worth my time? I don't give a shit about the foot combat really because I stopped playing AC after Brotherhood.

I enjoyed AC II and brotherhood.
i havent played past those because i got distracted by other series

3 was fucking terrible.

You can tell who is a child by their preference for 2 or IV.

It may be good game but turned series into something i don't really like. From this one AC became cinematic action games like Unchatred or something like this.

After AC1 I hoped Assassins Creed series will be Hitman set in various historical periods. But they never really expand on assassination aspect. It became railroaded movie-game

Brotherhood is better than both, but 2 is better than 4.

You hated that it became a copy of x game, but you wanted it to be a copy of y game?
Do you fully understand how stupid that is?

II, Brotherhood, Revelations, and IV are the only ones worth playing.

What's wrong with that?

It was decent enough.
How is it stupid? He liked y more than x and wished the game copied more from the game he liked rather than the one he didn't.

stupid reddit retard
haha no upvote

no retards allowed

>How is it stupid?
Because it shouldn't be copying either. Like what is with you braindead millennials and everything having to be a copy of something else for you to like it.
Hitman isn't even a fucking good series. If ANYTHING it should have taken from Thief.

Nah 3 was good
hold on I can be a retard too
nah 3 was fucking good

i wish these games had been way more about stealth. you could tell with 2 they just stopped caring. ezio wears garish robes that say "hello im an assassin," they dropped the blade in the crowd philosophy, and they got way too batman-y with gadgets. they also dropped investigation which was a neat system albeit primitive and marred by repetitiveness but it could have been refined instead of dropped.

>But 2 is better than 4
can't even give legitmate reasons

What do you think made it good, besides the empty bland world and bland main character, terrible soundtrack, and mediocre gameplay?

The PC version was fantastic...aside from the Uplay DRM.

youtube.com/watch?v=A72NoMuQst0

I really ought to get around to Black Flag. Played Rogue and liked that, despite the story being a bit dumb.

why do you suck block flag's dick so much?

story sucks cock, edward's not even an assassin, in fact he fucks them over so hard
and AC3 ldoes naval combat and customization better than black flag, not even joking.

Gameplay 4 was probably better than 2, but 4 had worse missions overall and 2 still had fun gameplay, and 2 had a much better protagonist, story, soundtrack and world.

>everything having to be a copy of something else for you to like it.
Hate to break it to you, but practically nothing is original anymore. Also taking other ideas and concepts and twisting them into your own or merging them with others is pretty much how creativity and new ideas are formed. Thief took just as much ideas from other games as other games have done before it.

>AC3 ldoes naval combat and customization better than black flag, not even joking.
you're trying too hard, my man

Patrician taste, this user knows

Nothing being "original" anymore doesn't mean we should encourage creators with abysmal criticism like "just copy a game I like".

this, black flag and far cry 3 are the only good games ubishit has made in the last 10 years

>AC3
>better anything
Pick one

They're nothing but followers that's why.
It was memed a while ago ironically that it was the best AC games, and now a bunch of fags literally believe it.
Goes to show the power of memes I guess.

>AC3 ldoes naval combat and customization better than black flag
and rogue does it better than both of them; perfecting the pirate loop gameplay everyone enjoys.

Black flag is legimately the only good Assassin's creed game retard

also

>AC3 ldoes naval combat and customization better than black flag, not even joking

I don't even think you know what you're talking about, you can't even justify this

Too bad rogue is actually horrendous. Worse than that throwaway portable game.

This, although personally I find Black Flag highly overrated. AC belongs in big cities, the wilderness has always been ass (dude hide in these bushes lmao) and the ship gameplay is mediocre.

I also enjoy doing the same tailing missions over and over again.

confirmed for never played it
3's naval combat has more depth, literally.
and the customization is more detailed

ahahahahahah get a load of this fag i'm not even going to bother to reply to this shit

Black Flag did have a terrible story and characters.

The people who say AC2 is somehow better than AC1 are delusional, they are both garbage games, adding stores and a bunch of walking and tailing missions didn't make the game any better.

>abysmal criticism like "just copy a game I like".
But now you are twisting what user said. He wanted the game to have more focus on the assassination aspects and less on the cinematic narrative. Looking at Hitman and how it did it is a way they could improve on that aspect.

Compare a game to similar ones is also the basis of how practically every criticism is born as you have other sources of how a materiel is handled. Have you seriously never played a bad game with an interesting concept, but wished it had an aspect it did poorly more like one of a similar game that did it pretty well? If not, then I encourage you to reevaluate how you perceive games.

I even liked the current world assassin vs templar concept in Ezio trilogy, and 2 had the truth thing with some cool puzzles
Then they butchered everything somehow

>confirmed for never played it
nigger, I've played ever ass creed at least twice through. III is shit compared to IV

Rayman Origins and Legends are better than those games

It's exceptionally overrated.
I have no idea how anyone can praise it WHEN IT HAD STEALTH TRAILING SHIP SECTIONS.
I'd rather play Syndicate for the rest of my life full of cutscenes where the character models don't load in than that horse shit.

>You can tell who is a child by their preference for any AC game.
Fixed for you.

They weren't that great or memorable, either. Stop letting shanty songs and muh feels ending cloud your judgment. BF is average, not bad, but not great either, and doesn't hold a candle to II or Brotherhood.

>Looking at Hitman and how it did it is a way they could improve on that aspect.
Like in Absolution?

And no, I don't think about how games can be improved by literally naming a random other game in the 'same' genre and going "copy it!"

I liked Revelations more than Brotherhood and II

3 has naval combat segmented off into like 5+ missions, and even then it doesn't matter cause the entire game experience was such a SHIT show that it doesn't even matter. You can end yourself any day of the week

I agree with that statement it's not as good as 2, Brotherhood or imo Revelations but I did really like it for the ship to ship gameplay and yes sea shanties. Didn't care about ending really.

Revelations and brotherhood were really close, but it depends on which aspects you enjoyed more.
They're both much better than 2 however.

Revelations gets a lot of shit by underage redditors who prefer Black Flag, but it was pretty damn good. Shame the base defense was such ass and the bombs weren't more fleshed out, but it was a damn good wrapup to Ezio's storyline and the surprise Altair stuff was great.

Look at this retarded negro's reading comprehension

i'm not comparing the full two games
only the naval sequences

unlike 4's, 3's naval movement isn't like driving a clunky sponge
unlike 4's, 3's ship customization is more detailed
unlike 4's, 3's combat is more detailed

>Revelations gets a lot of shit by underage redditors who prefer Black Flag
This.

Confirmed for not being there for the revelation hype

it's literally the same if not improved in 4 i don't know what your end game is here

>Like in Absolution?
Or perhaps a different Hitman game he had in mind. I don't know.
>I don't think about how games can be improved by literally naming a random other game in the 'same' genre and going "copy it!"
But it's not just another random game. Hitman and Assasins Creed have a lot in common outside of just being in the same genre not only in gameplay but in premise. And once again, you are still twisting things and making them over-simplified. It's doesn't have to be straight up copying, but merely examining similar mechanics, and seeing how you can change and improve your own. Either by outright changing it, blending in the aforementioned games mechanics with your own and making something new, or blatantly copying it like you keep bringing up.

To be fair, that's every other game in the series that isn't 2.

After the patch the tower defense was literally a 1 time thing so it didn't even bother me.

>3 has naval combat segmented off into like 5+ missions
still much more enjoyable than the entirety of 4's naval retardation

Hitman and AC have nothing in common. Disguise based stealth vs crowd and movement based. As I said, if you weren't a mouthbreathing retard you would instead look towards Thief as inspiration instead of literally a random stealth game that has ZERO in common.
This isn't that difficult to grasp truly, stop encouraging shit criticism.

ah man that woodkid trailer, that was ultra hype. especially when they showed altair's 'ghost.'

Do people seriously play these games for anything other than the multiplayer? AC2 was garbage.

No. The campaign had so much unnecessary filler, and the controls were garbage compared to later entries.

Unity was underrated

What, people shit on Brotherhood now?

Was it really that bad?

The glitches went viral and tanked any chance the game had, sadly. The interior work they did though still blows me away.

Yeah in the ac thread yesterday we had anons shitting on Brotherhood and revelations while praising 2.

Its not bad if you watch the deleted scenes why a video game has deleted scenes I dont know

The multiplayer was great, but the community ruined it with their faggotry. Sprinting should have been disabled unless you were found out by your target or in the last 30 seconds, because faggots played the game and sprinted at all times which left you to either hope they ran right by you or chase them down for your only 100 point kill. Such a cool idea, wish somebody would do it better.

I thought the Ezio trilogy was comfy.

Yes, truly the worst AAA I've ever played and this isn't even hyperbole.

A lot of people knock it for its length, it is like half as long as most other games in the series. It's great and I loved all the tweaks, just wish it was bigger.

>Syndicate is actually liked and even praised by people
>These same people say Unity was bad

Fucking hell

>hug
>not make a deal

>Hitman and AC have nothing in common
Open-ended level design combined with 3rd person view where your objective is top kill a singular target and you have a multitude of tools to do it. That's not similar to you? Besides, we don't know what user's thoughts were when he imagined a more Hitman style Assassins Creed, so maybe he was thinking more around how objectives are based and structured and less on the actual gameplay mechanics. You don't seem to really care for an open-minded discussion and this isn't really leading anywhere so I'll just end it in the hostile tone you understand.

You are fucking retarded with the same mental capacity of a brick and have no understanding of the creative process. To think you could criticize anything with your piss poor knowledge is laughable.

Probably the game that suffered the most from annualization fatigue. Still solid, connor isn't a bad protag and the main antagonist is thoroughly enjoyable and the setting was great. Worth a play if you enjoy AC games generally. Just don't play them in a row and get fatigued.

Ah I see you've learned the art of skewering things in your favor. Now's my turn.
Hitman isn't open whatsoever, they are closed off sandbox levels at absolute best which is completely contradictory to the vast open world of Assassin's Creed. Claiming they are even similar in map design is quite silly, you know this. In addition, AC has far more verticality than any hitman game ever, and this plays a huge part in how you actually go about your assassinations. To add even more onto the pile of differences, Hitman requires a lot of patience, AC actually penalizes you for taking your time (escort missions, main target ran away, etc).
I just don't think you should be criticising anything when you're sitting there pretending hitman and ac are anything alike beyond belonging to the same vague genre. But sure, I should totally tolerate your stupid "THEY SHOULD JUST COPY HITMAN" criticism because "that's just how like the creative process works broooooo".

Black Flag was the last good Assassin's Creed.

I feel like me and maybe 8 people around the world have Unity as their favorite, if one of you bastards is reading this just know you're not alone.

There's at least 12 of us alone on 4chin 2bh

II > Brotherhood > Black Flag > Revelations > I > III > shit > Unity = Syndicate

>he likes stealth ship escort missions
black fags everybody

I loved both AC and AC2
while yeah, the first felt more like an assassin the second felt more like a proper game, typical revenge story but the characters are interesting (especially leonardo and ezio) the soundtracks are amazing, the cities are great (coming from someone who lives in Acre) missions are more varied, double hidden blade, lengthy campaign, no constant waking up from the animus etc.. etc..
ACB started well but Rome is such a bore in comparison to Venice and Florence, halfway through i really didn't know what the hell was going on, it felt like a big expansion but didn't improve anything at all
Revelations was just terrible, took me 3 attempts to beat, i had more fun playing Skyrim at that time
dropped the series in ACIV, i think at sequence 4 or something.. didn't like it
stopped caring about the series ever since

>God Tier
Brotherhood, Black Flag

>Great Tier
AC II

>Okay Tier
AC, AC III

>Why Tier
Revelation

that's all I played. how's rouge? it's collecting dust

>ubisoft makes a 10 year anniversary video looking back on the series
>half the video is them jerking off over how amazing ezio was
>literally don't even acknowledge ac3's existence

Ezio and assassins creed 2 was the best, do you blame them?

rogue is just Ac4 but with an ice setting. In my opinion it isn't nearly as refined, you unlock shit a lot more quicker I think which isn't as exciting, and sometimes if you're out trying to collect animal pelts etc. certain critters just won't fucking spawn. If you've got a PC you might want to try it if you're just looking for more AC4 with little to no changes in gameplay

I'm just still so fucking angry over how they ruined Connor's entire storyline and still to this day continue to jerk that italian faggot off so much. Every protag we've had since was a shitty attempt to recreate him. The new guy doesn't look like another prince charming prettyboy but we haven't seen enough of him to really judge it yet.

>3 better than shit
no

The only good Assassin's Creed is Sands of Time

I loved AC 1 and 2, had one of the best atmospheres of any game i've ever played, i don't know what happened after 2 but the quality dropped after the beginning of Brotherhood for some reason, Revelations felt so bad and out of place in so many ways.

great game but shit AC

because it's the AC game that does the least amount of AC stuff
AC formula and world is shit
