Why are games based on popular IP's almost always shit?

Why are games based on popular IP's almost always shit?

Because they're the very definition of cashgrabs.

>umaru gets a second season and a videogame
>tomoko doesn't

why?

*Ahem*

Barely anything truly great sprang from an external source rather than from within the creator. The best you get is something good but not quite like the original.

The later chapters of Watamote are shit anyway

>she became a normalfag

The K-On rhythm game is good. I really like that the every song has different note charts based on each girl's instrument and being able to hear it clearly over the rest of the song. Also little touches like Mio's heavily using the d-pad because she's left-handed.

Weebs hate anything that isnt wish fulfillment fantasies.

What's this game about?

Get the fuck out underage Umarufag. They used to be good.
Even Hamtaro, a better Anime about a better hamster had some of the best video games to date by Miyamoto himself.

>Onii-chan give me gameuuuu~

That literally only happened one time for like every 20-30 licensed games

Yeah but when they're good, they're the best shit around.
