Never played it, but I'd like to give it a try. The opening alone made me want to play it.
Take me back

That level was a bit scary for me because of that soundtrack. I guess it was the violins in the background and the sampled growling.
weird because i always loved this level as a kid because of the soundtrack
this one is great
I absolutely loved this level. My favourite Dreamweavers level.
i just leave this here
Another spoopy soundtrack for me. The dogs didn't make it better.
Damn, I started humming it the moment I saw the thumbnail.
completely forgot this. this game was awesome, best movie video game ever
>Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
Sigh... I miss the time when the words "Need for Speed" meant supercars racing each other on Swiss Alps or other breathtakingly gorgeous settings and not this "Fast and Furious: the game" bullshit in boring uninspired city setting. Nowadays the series is all over the place and can't decide what it is trying to be and kids glamour those "Fast and Furious: the game" days.
never managed to get the mclaren f1 as a kid

Hot Pursuit got me into racing games. I did like Underground 1, 2, MW and Carbon. But I know what you mean. No other game in the series (after 3) has captured that kind of flair. Hot Pursuit on XB360 came close, but it still didn't have that little something.
Grant Kirkhope is insta-childhood for me

2000 was something else. That year and the reminiscent aesthetic which defined it still make me contemplate unlike anything else.

AAWWWW SHIT, FUCKIN KULA WORLD! I had a demo of that game and I always wanted to get it, but not one store had it.
For some reason when I think back to being a kid I'm reminded of playing this game coop with my brother

Funny, after the 2000s I thought this had horrible graphics, but now I think its retro and badass

Although to be honest, just about any music from a game I liked can make me feel that way, because it reminds me of a time when I wasn't as depressed and fucked up as I am now.
One time in 4th grade I invited my friend over to listen to the music to diddy kong racing. I kept tellin him how the soundtrack was so good so we should just start a game and sit there and listen to it. Then he picked up the controller and began racing, then it was on mothafucka. Lapped him almost twice

I agree. There was a time when things were simpler for all of us and we like to remember those times. For us on this board it's video games. Maybe some of our fondest memories are somehow connected to games. The first time we finished something without a grownup's help, the times when we played with friends, the sheer enjoyment we felt and maybe just looking at the sky through the eyes of the protagonist while the music plays in the background.
That bittersweet feeling you get as you realize how carefree you were and how it all changed.
fuck this hit me hard

One day it will end. Just be strong for the people who love you and maybe one day something will change and you'll find it inside yourself to live a life without regret or despair.
Or not. Video games are pretty great either way.

IF THE ANIMALS COULD TALK, THEY'D BE CURSING MY NAME
At this point, my only real hope is that there's something after this life. But thanks for the concern anyway.
