What went Wright?
What went Wright?
This is the longest I've ever taken to beat an Ace Attorney game, I think.
The series may be losing its luster for me.
Biggest amount of god tier likeable characters.
But how does that make you feel?
everything
Depressed, as I feel like I have to join the "Crapcom" contingent.
So have you played Great Ace Attorney ep 1? Any news on the cunt dev or when the next episodes might be coming out? I hope we don't have to wait a year for the next one.
>implying anyone has a hard copy of the game to use the patch with
>not just watching it on youtube
>implying Ace Attorney is purely a story-driven series that is just as enjoyable with zero interactivity
The best DGS playthrough (dowolf) got butthurt and canceled the thing after he was getting lapped by someone doing a shitty rush job.
Fuck it, I'll just wait to play it myself.
You can do it!
There's a workaround though.
>tfw I want to buy that book at the local Japanese bookstore but I don't want to get spoiled on everything
>but the game will never be localized anyway
Maybe I should just go watch a subtitled playthrough on Youtube
Considering it's easily the longest game in the series (technically 7 or even 8 cases), that's no surprise
it was fuckin trash and u know it cunt, they put in all those bullshit extra long animations, MUCH MUCH MUCH more frequently than in ANY of their previous games, even DD, JUST to make the fucking game seem longer than it actually is. and it fuckign worked on so many retards.
every time sahdmahdi does his bullshit hand gesture that takes 5 seconds and u cant skip the dialogue or anything and ur just left staring at the same shit.... evrey time that bullshit happens i just look up and im wondering if its done yet, is it even worth my time to look down? is he still doing his retarded hand animation for the 100th fucking time in part 1-2 of the 3rd fucking case? what bullshit. i seriously hate this fucking game, there arent even options to turn these retarded animatinos off. and dont get me started on the god d admn magic bullshit it just compokletely ruins the story in my eyes and i CANNOT recommend it to ANYONE. its just so fucking cringey and not even childish, just make believe bullshit. i truly hate it. i loved the first few games though.
Rayfa, Datz, Apollo.
Let it go and move on
thats nothing compared too the overly long animations of the characters only in the DLC case.
are we really never getting it ported? why not?
>Wright
Rayfa and his evil milf mommy
OST
>wrong
Bad pacing in general, cases are WAY too long in this game (looking at you, case 3 and Case 5 Part 1)
Case 2 was mediocre Gramarye shit that shouldn't have existed with one of the dumbest and most petty motives for murder ever.
Even though I mentioned it already, Case 5 Part 1 was wasted potential. Could've been a good civil case where Phoenix is testing Apollo but it ended up being a (very boring) murder case with lacking witnesses and an obvious culprit.
Apollo's past is such a big clusterfuck of bad writing is unreal.
DLC was meh, bad in comparison to DD's DLC. Culprit was obvious from the start and the fanservice with old characters got old fast.
SoJ is a good game, but gets too much dicksucking from fans.
fuck no they ruined a great series with great stories. i dont really care for the continuation between games but the cases themselves were interesting and cool. they had good writers. now its make believe fucking bullshit and i cant even recommend this great story game series to anyone because of all the retarded shit they did
oh wow maybe i should try to finish this piece of fucking shit game just so i can get angry at the DLC case, thanks user
You could play it on Android or iOS right now.
Kek.
the magic bullshit has been in there since the first game though, how can look past spirit channeling your dead huge titty boss but not a person's final memories being seen in water?
This. It always baffles me how people shit on supernatural bullshit in the newer games when the series was all about this in the first place.
integral to the story, shes a main character despite being dead, but necklace thing that detects emotion and magic bracelet didnt add anything that couldnt be done without magic bullshit
im on the fence about matagama
No supernatural bullshit and actual good writing is what makes AAI2 the best in the series.
This is Sup Forums.
If a game is to new its automatically shit.
YES
i have said this many times but Sup Forums loses their shit mostly when i say it. had much more interesting cases too, especially the 2nd one on the plane. and the international smuggling one. those were great cases. why they arent coming to 3ds i dont know
Supernatural bullshit in the end is just a plot device. AAI1, AA4 and AA5 are mostly devoid of that and they're not exactly the better games in the series
They added different gameplay elements for each Attorney, it would be pretty shitty if they all operated the same way. You might as well be playing as Phoenix during every case.
1 is probably the worst Capcom-produced Ace Attorney work so, yeah, I agree.
JFA and Apollo Justice say hi
You mean Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice?
its a bloody story game at its core (imo)
i think it wouldve been better without the magic stuff even if it meant less gameplay elements. i dont know anyone that plays these games for this magic stuff. if anything its just hinders the game
Justice for All is my least favorite game in the core series but if you take all of Capcom's Ace Attorney stuff, it falls squarely on AAI1.
PLxAA is the flat-out worst thing to bear the Ace Attorney name, though.
why is AJ such a shitty game? just reached the 3rd case and it's so fucking stupid!
It's like the game was made by people who don't understand what made the games good in the first place.
DD is great though.
Best boy/girl.
It was too late the moment they channeled people in the first game, they weren't just gonna forget about that. They even cross-examined a fucking parrot.
It's true that no one plays for the magic, but I don't see how it hinders the games, especially if done right. Pretty much what said.
yeah it was too bloody late but i thnk it wouldve been more successful and better without it all. i didnt play professor leyton or wahtever its spelled but it did it have stuff like that too? actually i think i played a bit and i dont remember anything like that. i also remember it being much more popular than phoenix wright until they tried the cross over game....
the magic wasnt ever done right. it was too cringey and everything relied on it, especially with athena and her god damn necklace. always in the end of the trials too
i also hate rayfas insight crap
maybe these games just arent for me. i should go play hotel dusk now i think about it if anything
Was this the worst finale in the franchise?
I feel like even 4-4 was a better final case.
Maybe they're not, the only thing that made me cringe in these games is when they put forced voice acting on the seance opening and A DRAGON NEVER YIELDS.
>"A DRAGON NEVER YIELDS"
>mfw redditors/youtubeniggers unironically loved this trashy phrase.
What? No, it was pretty great, even if the final breakdown felt pretty weak
Nah, AAI1 holds the title for worst final case.
Is there an archive to download these animations?
didnt some people port all the animations to PC so they could use them for their own thingy where they roleplay cases? i think there was a /vg/ thread for it
There you go.
there's an autistic forum somewhere that has some of them, reverse image search.
*blocks your path*
Super natural bullshit got way more complex in Spirit of Justice and made it a lot harder to understand/take seriously/
Like, in 3-5 for example, it's ALL ABOUT super natural bullshit but the crux of the case is two people channeling the same person to either prevent someone else from doing it or to hide in plain sight. It's simple to understand.
6-5 involves multiple cases of shuffling two different dead people between two bodies and ignoring rule number one of channeling (THE FUCKING HAIR) for the sake of plot convenience.
no-one played this, user
doesn't seem to work, are they included in the AAO files? might just download that then
Court Records?
No clue haven't touched that garbage since they started adding OC/Guest characters
>and ignoring rule number one of channeling (THE FUCKING HAIR) for the sake of plot convenience
but it doesn't? both Dhurke and Inga have long black hair, and there's hair dye in Inga's chambers to cover the plothole of it not being pinkish like Amara's
pay attention
>hair dye in Inga's chambers to cover the plothole of it not being pinkish like Amara's
You're right, it does explain why his hair isn't pink.
It doesn't explain why Amara's isn't black.
because L'Belle's hair dye washes out in water instantly
Its much easier to enjoy every game in the series if you stop being so autistic about every little thing.
No, it's the best since Rise from the Ashes.
FUCK
It's a good one, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here.
Don't worry, most of us didn't get the impact of that thing until people in these threads started pointing it out
It's clever as fuck, disguises as a cameo
Where's the "doesn't matter" option? I'm completely neutral on it - sometimes it feels silly, but sometimes it works really well.
How is it more complex? The crux of 6-5 is that both the victim and defendant were "alive" when they weren't. It's not particularly complex, and 6-3 builds it up pretty well.
Too many outside influences.
That said, 4-3 is arguably the worst case in the entire series including spin-offs. Just trudge through it.
>game sales get worse with each new release
Is AA dying both in the west and Japan?
Crapcom is bad at advertising
Maybe it would help if there were physical fucking copies
...
Copyright laws in the west about the intellectual property of Sherlock.
just call him shorleck helmos and be done with it
Just call him Gawain. He looks the part
Case 2 was incredibly good, since things got a step up once the con man was revealed to be a Gramarye and had more personal shit. Was also one of the more fucked villians since he killed a diehard fan with 100% bad intentions. His theme and animations were amazing too.
5-1 would've been fine if it stayed as a simple possession dispute and wasn't a murder, since they even could've done his breakdown and then have him get back up or get taken away since he mentally cracked regardless. It was tense since you knew phoenix was getting manipulated, but didn't fully know why.
DLC is agreed to be bad. Killer's animations are fun but the entire case isn't worth the money. The one in the last game certainly was though, that one was a ride and a half.
It still bothers me that the DD DLC was so obviously cut from the game that they didn't even bother renaming the files in the iOS version
superior reveal
Was he the smartest villain in the series? His plan was pretty complex and could've gotten away with everything.
Case 6-2 is the BEST filler case in the series. Prove me wrong.
good shitpost
No, the mastermind is
...
both wrong, this is the smartest villain in the series who got away with everything
>.gif
>never appears
kek
With some tweaks and padding they could've easily made it the final case of the game. Retinz's breakdown was pretty final case-tier imo
>That theme
>That reveal
>That breakdown
He was final villain tier really
youtube.com
>No system for monarch to prove legitimacy
>politician culprit
>would have gotten away with it if someone had deleted their emails
What did Capcom mean by this?
DGS-5 was fucking great though. Fight me.
we've had this discussion since release day pretty much, atishon had qualities of both candidates at the time (he literally says "make kurain great again")
turns out bad politician traits are pretty universal
...
How about some coupons, mr. user.?
It wasn't that good. It was certainly better than the rest of the game though.
Cases 1 and 3 were better
1 would've been great if they didn't sit on points like them having the wrong steak or the poison doesn't kill you via ingesting it and also that the villain's motivation isn't explained at all.
>the villain's motivation isn't explained at all
It's part of DGS2's plot.
I really enjoyed investigating in this game more than the actual courtroom sections this time around, which is pretty surprising. Though, honestly, I feel the series isn't for me anymore. Which is sad considering the real good streak of games they had going, and I'm counting both Investigations titles as part of this streak. Ever since DD I can't help but notice how the series is starting to rely on rehashed ideas, and as StH trash this buggs me to no end, and no amount of Apollo screentime, who was my favorite (and still is) since day one, will change my views in these last two games. At this point, I'd even prefer for a new set of games to take over, such as the Dai Gyakuten Saiban games, that I sadly cannot play.
>love DD
>hate the DLC
Now, I can understand why people wouldn't like the game, since it changed a lot of stuff regarding the atmosphere and the graphics, but I can't fathom how so many people liked the DLC. Not a single good character was introduced, and the main reason I love DD is the characters. Was it the meme rapper that people liked?
