Alien Isolation
Dying Light

Alien isolation is more suspenseful than terrifying. Nothing about it is scary, but it will get your heart pounding.
Dying light is neither scary nor suspenseful what the fuck are you smoking?

>"You killed all of your friends by destroying the timeline, raped Diane, still allowed Bob to kill Teresa Banks and let Chet Desmond be lodged because you didn't go back far enough"

I'll assume you like weird dream bullshit, so try Yume Nikki.

Outlast 1
The first half of Amnesia
Fatal Frame 2
Silent Hill 2
The first hour of Dead Space 1 and 2.

Corpse Party
Saya no Uta
if you want actual terror and not closet monsters

Chet died on the way back to his home planet

What was with that ending. or the season for that matter. David Bowie is a tea kettle.

>Saya no Uta
Hard to be scared when you have an erection

Dying Light night time is fucking scary

Amnesia
Outlast
Silent hill series
Evil within
Dead space
Bloodborne
Resident evil 1 remake

Zero/Project Zero/Fatal Frame
Corpse Party

>make mini series sequel to show that ended on a cliffhanger
>mini series sequel show ends on a cliffhanger

>Coop becomes lodge initiate by defeating Dopplecoop
>Abuses new powers to retcon entire show timeline
>Names, events and people are rearranged by Judy and Coop fighting over Laura
>Can't take Laura home to a place she never existed in anymore
>What do

it is at first before you start doing night drop runs just for the fun of it

is Fatal Frame 1 bad or just not scary?

Doom 3 isn't scary but I play it once a year.

Can we talk about Judy?

I mean it's like Silent Hill 1
It's just completely dwarfed by the sequel.

Unlike Outlast 2 which had zero originality and just rehashes all the scary aspects of 1 while going for the most generic horror setting among generic horror settings.

>ctrl-f
>no White Day
Aside from the SH series, it's on of the greatest horror games ever made.

...

I didn't find it spooky, but horror doesn't really get to me. I enjoyed it until I got stuck at some point constantly getting my shit pushed in by ghosties.

.flow
silent hill
soma

what? you know it's true
that first night is terrifying though

how is the remake?

...season

There isn't a single thing David Lynch loves more than a mystery.

raping Sheryl Lee in his sex dungeon

Darkwood should be up your alley

Pathologic is a good Autumn game.

Even Gordon Cole talked about Judy and we still don't know shit

Call for help

Since the Persona series has been riding Twin Peaks' dick for so long, I wonder if it'll take inspiration from the return. Maybe it'll stop it from slowly turning into Scooby Doo finally.

I'm playing through the first Zero right now, it's honestly really good. I wouldn't skip it.

This But also add Forbidden Siren, Penumbra, and the Daniella section from Haunting Ground

Observer (cyberpunk game) was pretty scary at some points. Great soundwork.

Scan ever horror thread for, have only seen it a few times but it's the best action horror ever.

The Suffering
(sequel has very memorable side villains and smoother game play, but isn't really as scary)

are there any legit good Lynchian games out there?
doesn't have to be horror, but all I can think of is PT

>remake
I had no fucking idea. Just bought and DLing right now.

Darkwood if you don't mind survival sim gameplay

slenderman
echoplex
silent hill 2

What did she tell him

Pathologic is excellent. Also very weird, which I imagine you'd like.

Alan Wake is Lynchian, and Mizzurna Falls just had an English fan translation.

Also apparently Link to the Past was heavily TP inspired.

how do you think this year's halloween is going to turn out? will the media continue on about cultural appropriation and shit?

Tune in for season 4.

You feel it to, don't you.

Deadly Premonition is the usual one to get recommended. Alan Wake too, but they're both shit. But at least DP seems self-aware about it.

Suda 51's earlier games feel like they were directly inspired by Lynch.

>Mizzurna Falls just had an English fan translation.
where at, man?

isn't Alan Wake shameless Lynch pastiche though? like Deadly Premonition?

and is Mizzurna Falls actually finished or are we still in N E V E R E V E R mode?

Lynch was going to make a game once.
thecityofabsurdity.com/game.html

PT doesn't really remind me of him. In fact no games do aside from overt references like in Silent Hill.

I killed Laura

We live inside a meme.

PT feels a lot like a nightmare turned into a video game, which probably makes people think of Lynch turning nightmares into movies.
Also that baby is so Eraserhead it's not even funny.

killer7's ending is Part 18-tier

really hustled my bones

It's pretty good, but 2 is just so, so much better.

Do yourself a favor and, if you ever do play the first one, play it with JP voices. The dubs for 2 and 3 are good enough, but 1 is badly acted and somehow also has shit recording quality.

See you in 25 years...

Yes.

Actually done.

Unironically "we live inside a dream"

the shit it come out of my ass

Most likely absolutely nothing, but they'll invent something for the sequel.

soundcloud.com/steven-guy-10/lauras-whispered-message-to-dale-cooper

How is the silver case? I own it, I have it installed, and I like suda51, but I just haven't bothered to play it yet.

...

It's free real estate?

Probably nothing, but it feels like when you hear something in a dream that seems really profound but when you wake up you can't remember what it was.

I'm not sure if I'd call Observer terrifying but it's one of the most unnerving and disturbing games I've recently played.

how are the Clock Tower games?

should I play the SNES one or move straight to the sequels?

egg.

The SNES one shows its age, but it's still decent.

The first 3d one was good, the rest not so much.

I really like Ice Pick Lodge so any game by them is good. Pathologic, The Void and Knock Knock are all excellent and very unique.

Killer 7 feels Lynchian as fuck.

SHUT UP CHAD

scary asmr/cyberpunk sound and the live action is decent anyway. gets a bit too puzzley though

Fallout 4

Thief: The Dark Project

Genuinely scary while being an amazing stealth game at the same time.

It is time, Anons.

only the mansion

first few jump scares got me

Translation was done last year, just been waiting for them to get it in-game. Looks like it's getting close by the latest updates

What would a game by Franz Kafka be like?

under age detected

I thought it was great, but the only other game by him I've played is Flower Sun and Rain so I don't know how it measures up to his other stuff.
Gameplay-wise it's primarily a VN, so while there are some parts where you move your character around and interact with objects, they're pretty linear and don't really give you freedom of choice. If you liked his other games or enjoy Lynch movies, you'll probably enjoy the story.

The game is divided into two sections, Placebo and Transmitter. While you can read one before the other, the story makes more sense if you alternate between the two as you read. I also recommend naming the player character after yourself, just because the game does a lot of funny stuff to subvert self-insertion.

Is the new season worth the time? It seems very different.

You can't get it to work. Every site you look at to troubleshoot has responses like "Works on my machine ;)" and "nvm fixed it," none of the fixes work. Every time you try to play, the phone rings. You try to refund it but steam won't let you.

Neat.

I know him more from his more recent stuff. No More Heroes, Killer7, Let It Die, Killer Is Dead, etc.

Gameplay wise they're nothing alike, but they all have really unique and bold writing. I'll probably like this.

seems kinda sjw with the protest cutscenes

Fund it.

If it was intentional I don't think it counts as a cliffhanger

absolutely
just make sure you've watched the film and it's deleted scenes, they're more relevant to the plot of 3 than s1 and 2 were

and you'll probably have to watch it all from the beginning again once you finish s3, because the ending done changed the game
Sup Forums is in a state of calamity right now, no one can figure it out

sad satan

Cool, I never quite finished season 2, so I guess I'll do that and what you suggested before starting 3. Thanks user.

Depends on what you enjoyed about the original, if you liked comfy comedy and cherry pie, you won't like S3. If you liked Fire Walk With Me and the lingering uneasy horror, then it's perfect.

there's a twin peaks movie?

I love these weird horror art games

HELL GOD BABY DAMN YES

What does Lynchian even mean?

>if you liked comfy comedy and cherry pie, you won't like S3
cherry... pie
