It leaked if youre a pirate bro.
Be sure to import seed on FBI but going to titles -> monster hunter stories -> import seed while having wifi on.
But why though? they had the decency of putting up a demo which was pretty good. I want to give them my money so more of this can happen.
What is this? First I've heard about it, could use another 3DS game if this one's good.
Download the demo to help you decide.
Try the demo user its roughly 2 hours long and gives you the basic idea of the game. Ill be picking this up over ultra sun/moon after how much of a blunder the originals were
What seed bro
>389505595
Same, desu. Pokemon Go opened my eyes to how shitty the franchise has become and I've recently discovered Monster Hunter. Seems like perfect timing, downloading demo now.
It does shit automatically, just import seed and you can play the game fine. Otherwise it gets stuck on black screen and you have to reinstall.
>What seed
*grabs dick*
>worlds won't have a boss fight with a renegade rider.
Come on capcom.
>3 days until most people realize what few have already known for ages
You're a good man.
Gotta support whats good, havent had this much fun with an RPG since RF4 years ago.
It bombed in Japan. They're not making anymore.
Can someone with the cia confirm if they included the july update (check if you can modify your character face features and gender even after starting the game)
It bombed because crapcom is retarded, not even yokai watch presents itself saying word for word "game for kids".
You don't actually believe that's the reason it bombed right?
A lot of things yell "for kids" much harder than that, such as style or having furigana and plenty of games were amazing successes despite being clearly for kids. Simply because they went out and said what everybody already knew it doesn't mean that's the reason it failed.
it's just english patched i found.
where's the actual english version of cia?
My freeshop is ready
If the game stayed in japan you'd have a point, but since it's getting a western release it means there's still a chance for it to succeed. After all doesnt matter where the shekels are comming from.
>pirating mon hun
I bet tri was your first too
d/ling on freeshop now, will I have to worry about this seed nonsense?
It actually doesn't happen often for a game to fail in Japan but then get sequels because it was a success in the west.
Not to mention that for that to even be in someone's dreams it will have to sell much, much more than it will and you know that. In some level you must know it.
Not the guy you were talking with before and I'm not saying to not buy it, I'm just stating the truth.
I wanted to give money to this game on the sole premise I will get to ride a fucking Rajang. Even if it wasn't that good.
And what do you know, the demo was pretty fun. Popping models and textures are ugly but I can handle it. Seems like a fun world to explore and I bet I can make it fun if I limit myself.
Well thanks captain obvious, it's a well known fact that breaking even isnt enough for a company.
>and you know that. In some level you must know it.
I dont know why you talk like i'm into some kind of denial, this is not a kickstarter scam, there's a demo, i played the demo, the game's solid and i want to give them my money, i know my purchase alone matters fuckall in the grand scheme of things but if it helps the game succeed that's a good thing and if it doesnt then too bad and move on to the next thing.
>I dont know why you talk like i'm into some kind of denial
Because you are.
You know when someone make ludicrous claims like that they are required to back them up.
I love this game, but it forever blocked me from being a hunter, i can't go back...unless they make usual MH's gameplay be like Kingdom Hearts.
>I wanted to give money to this game on the sole premise I will get to ride a fucking Rajang
It's a nice change of pace.
Alright, so what is there to do in the demo?
I'll list what I've done.
>Have Monster Hunter Generations Extra Data for the full game bonus content
>Hatch Velocidrome, Aptonoth, Arzuros, Yian Kut Ku, Blue Yian Kut Ku
>Found 9 Poogies
>Finished all subquests
Is there anything left of note to collect or do until the game comes out?
If my post is 5 or higher, I'm going to spoil for myself what are all the ridable monsters.
N...nani?!
Wait, there is a bonis for having generations data? Is it's demo enough for that?
That's about it, do the story quests when ready.
I actually saved up all the bonus quests, sold a bunch of shit to have 10000z, made an offering to the altar, and got all that potential extra experience points bonus. Rushing through the story quests to get experience too.
Sadly the demo is not enough. If you find a way to borrow the game, start it, get that extra data, then it's all you need, but obviously that's a lot to ask. Don't be too bummed about what you miss out on. It's just a Glavenus outfit for your ugly cat buddy. You also get a rustshard you get to use later in the game that turns into a Glavenus Sword & Shield.
What you SHOULD worry about is where you order your game. Amazon pre-orders get you pic related when you start the game.
I guess you could upgrade all your weapons and armors, or go for medals.
Without mentioning the fact you haven't even played the game yet? How about how you said stupid shit like "there is still a chance to succeed because it's getting a western release" as a counter argument to a sequel not being made? Considering the degree of failure it was in Japan, this game would have to absolute and utterly dominate the western market which we all know is not happening. Maybe it will even sell well but nowhere even near the intensity it would need to even slightly change anything.
>it doesn't matter where the shekels are comming from
It does matter and you should know that. Game sequels can keep being made as long as it's a success in Japan even if the west didn't receive it well or at all. The other way around is almost a miracle. How do you not know this from experience? Fucking Medarotto has over 10(ten) sequels for fucks sake.
Buy the game if you want, have fun with it if you can. Nothing wrong to feel like you want to pay for it, but from some of the shit you are saying it's absolutely clear you are in complete denial.
I am a dirty third world country dweller and amazon doesn't send anything electronic there (why? They haven't problems with anything not electronic).
PxZ 2 exist.
None of those are exclusive, it just gets you them faster and easier.
Great, I sound like a real shill here, but Amazon let's you purchase a digital copy of the game. I have no idea if that opens up the opportunity for you, but it always bums me out when other fans of games don't get "exclusive" content that I get just because of where they live in.
>Digital
Hahahhaha! Nope, i love psychical copies and I would need to buy a bigger SD card too.
The digital copy doesn't come with the DLC code.
>Without mentioning the fact you haven't even played the game yet?
I have.
>How about how you said stupid shit like "there is still a chance to succeed because it's getting a western release"
There's a chance, you're the one on full blown denial about it.
> Fucking Medarotto has over 10(ten) sequels for fucks sake.
Why are you bringing up something that hasnt been released here in over half a decade that stopped being relevant as soon as it was released on the gamecube? sounds like you're either grasping at starws or your head is spinning from writting that essay.
>Nothing wrong to feel like you want to pay for it
Sounds like you do have something wrong about it.
The Tigrex is "special" due to it's weird stripe pattern. It isn't a Brute Tigrex of course, it's just a regular Tigrex with an odd color of stripes instead. Such a small difference, but to some people it's a big one.
Totally understand, also becauseThat's fucking gay. Good thing I got the physical copy instead.
There is a sequel game called Project X zone 2 that literally exists because the first game sold very well outside japan.
No More Heroes is alive today because of the West.
Step it the fuck up, senpai.
this is the ebgames preorder
Preorder and get strong monsters early?
from what i gather different looks are based on their genes
so unless these preorder monsters have preorder only genes you can prolly still make them ingame
Meh, i prefer more armors for the girl.
>Tiger-Striped Tigrex
>Blue-tinted Qurupeco
This is some fucking bullshit. I want both.
no you have to get to a certain point
No, you still have to get to to a certain Kinship level to take rarer monsties with you, maybe earlier than if you had to get them normally, but you aren't going to be able to use them from the word go.
Doesn't seem like much of a incentive to preorder to me then.
Why no switch version?
Who knows, they could easily do it.
Because it launched in Japan almost a year ago and didn't sell well there. It's really surprising Nintendo chose to localize this at all.
Maybe they feel another bravely default?
>nintendo
it is all capcom, if it was up to nintendo they would localize both MHXX on switch to help the console even more
Is mh on the decline on Japan?
Don't say things you don't know about, Capcom showed no intention to localize this until Nintendo took it over. It's not even being localized by Capcom, it's NoE.
No, Nintendo is the one publishing and localizing the game in the west.
Who's your monster of choice, Sup Forums? Tigrex here.
That is not good, itncould mean capcom will never release that july update in the west.
Barroth for sure, he's so cute. I think Caphadrome is in so I'm probably going to use him too.
Only the spinoffs.
I could be wrong, but it seems like changing the monsters element changes the color. Unless having a fire element tigrex is exclusive to the DLC, you can still make one in the game.
tieba.baidu.com
Stories bombed, I don't think the tie-in anime helped either.
I wonder if we'll hear anything about XX localization sometime after Stories is released.
I know everyone's going "but WORLD is coming and they don't want to shift the attention", but that doesn't make sense to me. Switch isn't getting World and they're such different games anyway. Plus, since they have the base game already localized, they could easily do a Oct/Nov release well ahead of the real World hype.
This has always been tough to say.
Monster Hunter has always sold astronomically high, but each subsequent release has sold less than the previous one. MHX and MHXX really felt like tests of "How far can we adjust Monster Hunter before having to scrap it and still have success."
World's is called World's instead of 5 for a reason. They finally think reinventing a majority of the game is the next step in keeping MonHun Capcom's golden goose.
Visually, it look like what I've wanted since I first started the series, but man, what if these changes are what gets rid of that "bug" I used to get for all previous MonHuns? The satisfying feeling of crafting, the autistic levels of sorting shit in my inventory box that felt like crack, the pattern memorization of monsters, the limited chat system. Were these all bad things or good things for a simpler time?
It's like, imagine being a big Phantasy Star Online fan and suddenly it becomes Phantasy Star Online Devil May Cry Edition? Will the old audience accept the change, or will a new audience take their place and be the new demographic?
All I know, is I'll be getting World's and I'll be getting Stories because I stuck around for the monsters, cute girls, and cool armor, and by god I want to see this ship continue to float.
tl;dr It'll continue to sell just fine, but the core audience may change for better or for worse to veteran fans. Not sure I trust Capcom on balancing learning-curve for any game with veteran players judging from how they treat their fighting game franchises.
>no gore magala
Whyyyyy he's my favorite
Dope. Looks like enough evidence to me.
The 'don't wanna shift attention' is a bit flawed when Stories was getting a release in the first place, too. Even if CFW is at its peak, it would be kind of a dick move to not localize the G-Rank game and have only the high rank one instead.
Nope, you nailed it, that's how it works.
>It's like, imagine being a big Phantasy Star Online fan and suddenly it becomes Phantasy Star Online Devil May Cry Edition?
But user...That's real. This is a thing that happened:
youtube.com
Presumably so as to not have the lore problem of it not infecting any other monsters with the frenzy virus.
Pretty sure the entire roster of the game is largely monsters from before 4
Are you fucking KIDDING me?
What the fuck am I even looking at?
Are there mags anymore?
Is it still four player party format?
Anyways, this is exactly the sort of thing I fear happens to MH. World doesn't look this jarring and alienating, but looking more of this up, I can see why this never left the East...
>It's like, imagine being a big Phantasy Star Online fan and suddenly it becomes Phantasy Star Online Devil May Cry Edition?
Didn't we pretty much go through that with Monster Hunter Frontier? Which at least is something on the side, though.
I'm not kidding you
The 'Hero' Class
Yes
Yes, along with 8 and 12 man party set ups ( 2 and 3 party's together more or less )

Jesus Christ. I liked PSO because of it's simplicity and relaxed nature, but this is still interesting. It's just, not really what I'm looking for in a PSO game.
Would still try it, but I don't have much to judge off of because I don't play MMORPG's like this.
So his frenzy and the not frenzy mist don't get mixed up
Who /downloadedtheleakbutpreorderedthegame/ here?
Can't wait for my niggas Brachydios and Seregios
Got the leak but purchasing the game later, just brought the Tracer nendo and Yakuza Kiwami, not enough money
Yeah, when that scene where Nargacuga pops out and fucks the village up started with the mist stuff, I thought it was going to be Gore.
It's pretty much the PERFECT example of what you where bringing up though. The game's utterly changed, drastically at that. It's gone from a game where all you had was a basic, heavy, and sometimes 'special' attack, with perhaps techs depending on your class/race mix, very slow combat that was more about spacing and area control, towards pretty much DMC IN SPACE. Yet it's honestly doing BETTER now then it's done in the past, it's chances are SEGA's biggest profiting game ATM ( not even taking into account all of the god damn colabs ). A lot of the 'old' playerbase swapped out, and new took it's place, and even they at times feel conflicted for some of the changes ( like right now with the recent Hero class update, that gave access towards a class that is just the most mobile thing on the planet with damage to match ). So for what you're wanting to discuss, I do suggest looking into the community behind it right now, and getting a good look at everything from there.
I feel ya, man. The game does deserve a chance, that's why I'm actually buying it despite having CFW. Reached a pretty hype point in the plot, but I have to head out, so whatever's next will have to wait, sadly.
Man, I really hope the Glavenus DLC gets localized.
Yeah I thought it would be another Gore plot but turns out its not. No clue about the actual plot.
Gore should have been post game stuff I reckon
is there a way to transfer save from jp to eu?
That would've been kind of a cool bait n' switch.
I like Monster Hunter and want to continue my support and I loved the demo.
Is Glavenus the only dlc monster?
Save structure is different between JP and EU, so chances are you'll need to wait until there's a converter.
rajang's not rideable not in the base game anyway
Surely it will, right? It may even be in the base game for us. Please.
What I really want is the Umaru DLC,
and that's a LOT less likely to come over.
I'm pretty sure Rajang, Rust Kushala, and some Puzzle and Dragons crossover monster are also DLC.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
It reminds me that there is basically a perfect PSO available online if I want to play the original, and now I know of this weird sequel. I guess a lot changes from sequel to sequel, and I just missed a lot of whatever the hell happened in between what I played and whatever this Hack and Slash Robo Adventure is.
I still stand by what I say about MonHun, of course.
