All those happen in the Switch version too.

Cell shading is always just a simple dot calculation, and at most 1 or 2 extra textures beyond the diffuse to determine ramps, and they are generally really tiny.

Normal shaders would have a shitload of passes and definitely be more computationally expensive, unless they use a super simply diffuse, which would look like ass.

i think the cell shading is working using that shader as the base, so it just adds more processing time to the whole thing

The Switch version only has framerate dips in the lost woods, because the switch has trouble with the sheer amount of fauna in that area.

On cemu the framerate is fucked pretty much everywhere because it's running on an unstable emulator.

Gaming Laptops are not portable by any means.

I did a test run overclocking my 5 year old cpu. I got a mildly stable 27fps. I go back to base clock for temperate reasons. On any recent gaming cpu 30fps should be trivial at this point.

Or just download the shader cache, I downloaded a complete set. and I compared load time to switch streams even at the slowest load time it still beat the switch almost every time.
