I remember Mikami asking Microsoft what made their mission for their games, and Microsoft's response was to make games more like art or film.

Stop spewing bullshit. Japan readily adopts all sorts of western shit but they generally prefer Japanese games over western ones. Xbone has nothing that appeals to Japan on a massive scale like Dragon Quest, Monster Hunter, Splatoon, or Persona.

It doesn't say anything bad about image quality, of course it lacks compared to a fucking $500 dedicated UHD player but the average consumer (and me) doesn't give fuck about those features. Apart of a few cherry picks it's the best option if you can into 4K movie video and streaming.
