Quake and quake clones have far more involved mechanics. There's no reason to play the deprecated gameplay mechanics present in CSGO.

nudoom has no level design. it's got fine graphics and enemy + weapon design but the levels are boring as fuck and too much reliance on shitty arenas

not OP but I personally hate CS:GO and love CS:S and used to love 1.6. GO felt like it was trying to hit this middle ground between traditional CS gameplay and COD style gameplay. The gunplay is definitely the worst of the series, with aimpunch and spray patterns, even first shot accuracy seeming incredibly random. The only thing CSGO does right is try to make every gun viable, as opposed to css where basically its deagle M4 AK AWP and thats it, MAYBE an mp5 or shotgun on an econ round but even then people just pistol save.

It's amazing how you guys ALWAYS use Quake as a scapegoat, without fail.
