COME ALL YOU YOUNG SAILORS AND LISTEN TO ME
COME ALL YOU YOUNG SAILORS AND LISTEN TO ME
Rogue was better
WE'RE A BAND OF VICIOUS PIRATES
A SAILIN' OUT TO SEA
WHEN YE HEAR OUR GENTLE SINGIN
YE'LL BE SURE TA TURN AN FLEE
Sea of Thieves will be infinitely better than Skull n Bones
excuse the potato quality, under NDA so I had to snap a pic with my phone
This game was trash.
Can't believe you faggots memed me with IT'S THE ONLY GOOD AC out of $5.
Hate how your name pops up randomly on the alpha screen so you cant sneak in some pics as easily
This game was amazing as every Assassins Creed games are
Based Ubisoft
See that smudge? Guess what's underneath it.
Tell me about the beta user. Did they add any real content yet or is it just two teams battling on ships. I need substance son
Also, Legendary Treasure Chests are cute!
delicious candy?
Agreed
All AC games are cancer for suicidal retards
Just how big is the map, user?
>listen to Stan Rogers and others who do sea shanties for years
>AC:Buttpirates comes out
>driving with friends
>Barret's_Privateers.mp3
>"omg user you played Assassin's Creed:Buttpirates too??
>have literally never played an AssCreed game in my life
:/
Even if you hated AC, it was the best damned pirate game in decades,
I JUST HAD A SANDWICH
NO ORDINARY SANDWICH
A SANDWICH MADE WITH JELLYFISH JELLY
>Rouge
>Better
Im not sure how i feel about this post
What does a colour have to do with ass creed?
>Ubisoft's new Pirate Game looks cool
>Boarding is an animation
>No actual gun or sword combat
Dropped.
Alpha, a lot of people forget that it's still a Tech Alpha and they're stress-testing the servers while gradually adding QoL improvements every update
This is the current map, compressed for file size. With some rough math based on how long it took to travel through a square, my crew and I deducd you can go from A1 to A26 in about 15 minutes with full wind, which will rarely if ever be the case.
Also, they finally added a shopkeeper (looks like a shoemaker or innkeeper from your average Disney princess movie) who sells you your hurdy gurdy, blunderbuss and drinking mugs, so now we actually have something resembling a sense of progression.
In particular I'm glad they made the blunderbuss cost 10,000g so n00bs have to learn sword and pistol like proper swashbucklers instead of just shotgun-spreading anyone who dares draw their cutlass.
Here's another pic btw, outposts are comfy during storms
...
I love how drinking is a major element in this game
...
Nah, fuck you Kenway. You turned to a faggot because you thought it would get you that reverse trap pussy. Thank god your son was a better character than you ever were.
The placement of everything looks weird
AC4 is the closest a game has got me to crying as far as I can remember. The song at the end with all his dead friends gets me.
It was the ONLY pirate game in decades.
What we need is a pirate game set in a world that is like the world during the early 1400s, but instead of sailing and finding america they find the actual edge of the world. Make it an open world multiplayer pirate game.
It is pretty weird but they have promised a larger sea with different biomes that will take at least an hour or so to fully traverse.
Here's another fun pic, wanna take a guess what's behind the waterfall?
They were basically the same game, but I think rogue had a more interesting story
Manchild
Black Flag's ship stuff is great fun, but it has objectivelly the worst land missions in the series. Half of them are tailing or eavesdropping garbage. And for that reason, Rogue is better.
Don't start, friend.
I'd fucking love a Pirate RPG where you start of as a random member of a crew to end up being a Pirate legend. Where you can customise your ship, crew and image where you become a scary motherfucker through your outfits and theatrics.
The more wanted you are the more the British, Spaniards and Dutch want to kill you.
Wasn't that one pirates of the Caribbean game somewhat similar? You start as as shipwreck survivor and climb up from there.
I JUST HAD A SANDWICH
NO ORDINARY SANDWICH
A SANDWICH MADE WITH JELLYFISH JELLYYYYYYYYY
HEY MAN YOU'VE GOT TO TRY THIS SANDWICH
ITS NO ORDINARY SANDWICH
ITS THE TASTIEST SANDWICH IN THE SEA
*Scatting noses*
Rogue has better mechanics
AC4 has better dialogue and characters
Well I mean the AC formula is so terrible and boring, that the missions in most of the games are that bad
Wasn't this a storyline in the uncharted waters game? I don't think a sailing game has come out since it and been nearly as good.
There was a PotC game like that, but it was rebranded from a series of games that some russkie studio was making, starting with Sea Dogs and eventually turning into Age of Pirates. I only ever really played Sea Dogs, which I remember having a lot of fun with but it's pretty dated now, not sure if the later games are worth checking out or not.
HAUL AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Man of War. Warhammer game is it worth it?
AND IT'S ALL FOR ME GROG
It's a cave
Skull and Bones is a fucking joke, people would maybe have paid $15 for a multiplayer version of AC4's ship combat in 2013 but $60 + microtransaction tip for a multiplayer only game with literally nothing but minigame ship combat? I can't believe my fucking eyes.
Man I'm really looking forward to this.
How well does it run? I probably need to upgrade my PC for it.
are we getting towns though? pirate towns are kino
NOW WE ARE READY TO SAIL FOR THE HORN
There's towns
I don't know if it's playable on PC. The alpha is only for Xbone. On which it runs about 900p 30fps.
Yep, I even dug up a chest in that cave, then some skeletons chased me back to my ship.
I play on Xbone
Outposts are kinda deserted right now but that will likely change, so far we have 3 NPCs (bar wench, dockmaster and shopkeep)
Also once they figure out (if ever) 'neutral zones' then players will have an easy time interacting thanks to global/proximity voice chat.
Win10 has the Alpha now too, they even added crossplay.
Blackwake is a better game
...
The proximity chat is great.
>see other player's ship anchored at an island
>have 3 people in your crew jump overboard
>one stays onboard and keeps the boat sailing away so the enemies don't spot you and leave
>swim up to the island and spy on the enemies while one person infiltrates their ship and hides any treasure they have
>get your ship crewmate to double back around to pick you and all your stolen treasure up
>leave without the other players ever knowing you were there
that was my favorite sea shanty in the game, I love you user
Said the ubisoft employee of the moth
I HAD A DREAAAAM THE OTHER NIIIIIIIGHT
But the point of the Caribbean settings is that you're far away from the European powers and their fleets, it's the route for very valuable cargo, and there are lots of isles for pirates to hide
People think I'm nuts, but I really want to see a waterworld MMO.
For those who don't know waterworld was a decidedly mediocre movie in which the world was completely flooded and humans were desperately trying to stay alive with no real land left.
No landmasses, a big ass ocean, atolls serving as towns, sea monsters and shit. Big part of gameplay would be just staying alive and staving off scurvy. Currency is dirt. Diving/Bell diving in shallower waters. Instead of focusing on your character, focus on upgrading and customizing ship, character combat could be a thing but not really the focus of progression.
Wasn't that one of the biggest flops of history? I wonder if anyone will ever dare touch it.
Also I remember them finding a continent in the end
SHALLOOOOOOOOW OH SHAAAALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW BRAAAAAAOWN
I instinctively click my mic off when sneaking up on a ship, then I typically swim under then climb up the other side and drop their anchor
It's also fun being the lone treasure hunter while the rest of your crew Benny Hills the enemy around the island you're on
>human cannonball onto some island with its own cannons (Snake Island I think)
>find and unearth chest immediately because as the devs described I'm one of those players "with a nose for gold"
>hide it behind a rock on the shore as the enemy comes around
>find local cannon just as ship passes into my LoF
>draw my pistol, take deep breath and hitscan the fuck out of the enemy helmsman causing them to crash into a rock
>hop on the cannon, put 10 holes in their lower hull while they scramble to deal with their lack of crewman, me, and my approaching crew on their other side
>my crew boards and plunders their sinking ship while I secure my chest aboard ours
It was a huge flop. I'm a sucker for 'bad' movies though and liked it. And yes, they did eventually find SOME dry land at the end, a small island that was once the top of mount fugi.
Still, I want a totally naval MMO. ZERO land stuff, its ALL on the water.
I still need to finish this game.
New asscreed looks major ass
Nah it looks like they're actually changing the gameplay instead of having it be the exact same like the past 12
I THOUGHT I HEARD THE OLD MAN SAY
LEAVE HER JOHNNY, LEAVE HER
TOMORROW YOU WILL GET YOUR PAY
AND IT'S TIME FOR US TO LEAVE HER
I'm from Swansea, and I pirated Assassin's Creed: Black Flag... in which you play as a pirate from Swansea.
