It's one thing to have God in your game and make Him evil or something like Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne does, but in that case it's usually implied that God can be taken down. The problem with playing as God is that it would't even be a game anymore. MCs are usually OP pieces of shit in the game to begin with, let alone you're literally playing as God.

I don't know much, but in Prince of Egypt Moses has a lot of cool powers, a lot could be use for traversal and puzzle solving. He can earn them as he progresses through out the game like on gow, but in this case it's gifted to him by God and his angels, they could twist things up and add a good and evil path where depending on how you play, God or satan will give you powers.

Christ Centered Gamer is awesome, they do genuinely good reviews and do a separate score for the objective quality of the game and the "morality scale" for christian values. Shin Megami Tensei 4 Apocalypse got like a 9 for game quality and a 0 for morality.

That is not really the case. First a history lesson.

Around the year 300AD this became a major issue. Arian Christians (named after a priest in Egypt named Arius who proposed the theory) did not accept Christ as god, but a subordinate creation of God. The rest of Christianity said that Christ was not subordinate to God, but God. And man. At the same time.

In 325 the Council of Nicaea was called to deal with this schism in Christianity. This was a big fucking deal, with representatives from around the world called together, presided over by Constantine I. The council laid down the foundations of Christianity and attempted to form an orthodox theological consensus on doctrine. In it, Arianism was denounced and its adherents excommunicated and declared enemies of Christianity itself. Arius himself and several prominent Arians were exiled.

Now Arian Christianity was mostly popular amongst the Germanic tribes that conquered Roman territory, like the Vandals and Goths (not the Franks though). The Vandals forced conversion among their Roman subjects, executed dissenters with crucifiction. Most people don't think of Germanic barbarians as Christian religious zealots, but that's the way it was. Eventually the Vandal Kingdom (in North Africa) was reconquered by the Eastern Roman Empire, before being lost to the Muslims. The Gothic Kingdoms in Spain were also lost to the Muslims. Thus, the Arians got wiped out and supplanted by Muslims. Surviving branches of Christianity all adhered to the Nicene creed (meaning they follow the decisions of the Council of Nicaea).

This changed over time with the Reformation, but still very, very few groups ever went back to Arianism. The only major one is Jehovas Witnesses, and very few Christians consider them anything but a non-Christian cult.
